"I stayed at The Emerald Hotel, Thanjavur, for a week on a business trip, and this was my second stay here. Since my first visit, it has become our go‑to hotel not only for business but also for family stays. The hotel is very clean and well maintained, and the front desk team are consistently helpful, professional and friendly. I would especially like to mention Mr Kamal, the housekeeping manager, Ms. Shivaranjani, Ms Kavitha and Arunraj at reception for their excellent customer care. Although the hotel is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet and I was able to work and rest without disturbance. The Wi‑Fi connectivity is excellent, which made online meetings smooth and stress‑free. Breakfast is served at the adjacent Abi’s hotel and consists of a South Indian buffet with a good variety of typical local dishes; it was a great way to start each day. The hotel also has dedicated car parking, which is a big plus in this area. I was also impressed to see an elderly, differently‑abled gentleman employed in the car park, which I felt was a thoughtful way of supporting people who might otherwise be disadvantaged, kudos to the management team for this. Overall, all the staff I met, not only at reception, but also at the breakfast restaurant and the security staff,were consistently kind, courteous and helpful. Overall, I have been very happy with my stays at The Emerald and I would strongly recommend it to both business and family travellers. I hope the management will continue to maintain the same high standard of service and cleanliness."

"I stayed for a night at Abis Residency. It's walking distance from Big Temple. This hotel has good, clean rooms and cordial staff. It's great value for money . Hotel does not offer food but there is a Krishna Bhavan right opposite to the hotel which is once again good. Therefore I recommend this place for a couple. If you are a family of 4, rooms are small.
