Villas Alondra

"We visited Villa alondras for 8 days and the villas are stunning,the beds are so comfy I’ve never slept so well.We had a few problems throughout our stay , no water and the hob not working but 5 mins from contacting reception someone was there to fix it, nothing ever seemed too much. I would say it is a little out of the way and abit of a walk to nearest shop. The breakfast included was a lovely bonus and a real nice touch to a Villa stay. We would definitely return to stay again maybe not waiting 18 years this time. Only thing I would suggest is either they sell water at reception or invest in putting a local shop somewhere near that would help massively. All staff were lovely and very friendly and also we had a lovely cat who came to visit everyday which I suppose some people wouldn’t like, but my daughter loved it. The communal pool at the restaurant was never busy and also cold salt water so nice and refreshing. On our last day we didn’t have our flight til 9pm we had to be out by 12 and reception held our bags and also let us shower before we got our transfer to airport which was really helpful. Nicola P"

Gloria Izaro Club Hotel

"Just back from a lovely week at the Gloria Ízaro our first time there and we weren’t disappointed we requested a early check in and a low level room and both requests were delivered to us which we really needed after a early flight. I have to say that all the staff were so friendly and helpful with any request including renting a scooter for my wife. The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade as you could see bits of the room had cracks holes etc but for what we needed it was fine. My only real complaint was the sun bed situation which I know is a common complaint in most hotels on arrival we were given a notice telling us that sun beds cannot be reserved and that towels would be removed but that is not the case as everyday that we went up to pool there wasn’t a sun bed available and on one occasion we counted at least 30 beds with towels on them but nobody on them. We used the large sun beds on the first level which were comfortable but just not near the pool and a few didn’t covers which did appear near end of week which was due to windy weather conditions so at least we had somewhere to enjoy the fantastic weather. Overall a lovely visit and would stay there again."

"2nd visit to HPL for us as a family. Pros Quiet location Kids entertainment aka Mr Potato is incredible! Plenty of sun beds Clean accommodation Close to the airport Evening entertainment was good and table service was very good Cons Kitchen poorly equipped Bedding not changed enough Bar service is poor - slow and expensive. The ice cream freezer at the pool bar was virtually empty for 3 days of our stay…Mars Bar icecreams only 🤣"

Casas Heddy, Well-Being Resort

"I was very disappointed with my stay. 😥 Several of the staff were lovely, but there were a few things which negatively affected my experience: 1.my friend had asked for a room next to me but she was placed far away on a dark lit pathway. 2.inbetween us there were many rooms empty it felt like a ghost town and scary walking at night. 3.at night no staff could be seen anywhere, when there was a power cut at midnight there was noone around at all. For a lone female traveller this wasn't good enough. 3. At the bar there wasn't any big bottles of water one day, the shops where at least 15 mins walk away. 4. The sachets of teas and coffees were never replaced when I attempted to get some more from the restaurant I was told off. 5. This morning when we left at 7.45 am breakfast was all out we had paid for the day, but we were not allowed to get anything to eat not even a croissant 6. It felt uncomfortable even helping myself to a coffee being watched 7. The evening bar closed at different times and twice we missed it. 8. I wasn't allowed to have a coffee on my sunlounger which I had never experienced before. This was supposed to be and advertised as a healing trip but it felt as though as soon as you checked in you were abandoned. I had emailed the hotel before my stay to say that this was what I was coming for as had some family trauma and bereavement."
