"Great location, was pretty central to everything in Darling Harvour - located on a quiet street with parking onsite. The Buffet Breakfast was delicious with great options. Staff were very welcoming & friendly. The rooms were very spacious & private bathrooms were adequate."

"The location is close to the light rail station, A small old-style hotel full of character But please note that since it is an old-style small hotel, there is no elevator. There is no reception either, guests need to check in at the bistro next to the entrance. The design of the room retains some of the old-style decoration, giving it a pastoral and rural feel without being too shabby. The room has an independent bathroom. The bathroom environment is clean and tidy. The overall stay experience is comfortable and has an old-fashioned feel. Although the small bar next to the entrance is very unique, it is a bit intimidating because of its small size. The friends in the bar were very enthusiastic, which made me deeply feel the warmth and welcome of Australians. The location is close to a light rail station, a quaint, old-style small inn. However, be mindful that as an old-style inn, there is no elevator. There is also no reception desk; guests need to check in at the small tavern next to the entrance. The rooms maintain some old-style decorations, providing a rustic and pastoral feel without being too run-down. Each room has a private bathroom, which is clean, and overall the stay is comfortable with an old-world charm. However, the small tavern by the entrance, although quite distinctive, was found to have small cockroaches, which was off-putting. The friends at the bar are very warm, making me deeply feel the enthusiasm and nature of Australians."

"Dear Chesca and the Vulcan Hotel Team, I’m writing to express my sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality and incredible assistance I received during my recent stay at Vulcan Hotel on April 13. When I first arrived at the hotel that morning and found out my room wasn’t ready yet, you and your male colleague (whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask) kindly provided me with a Sydney map and took the time to introduce some wonderful local sights and food options. I truly appreciated your friendliness and thoughtfulness—it made a great first impression and helped me feel at ease in a new city. Later that day, after returning from lunch to check in, I discovered that I had lost my passport. I was in a state of panic, but you comforted me and patiently helped contact the taxi driver and Sydney Airport, even though it was a Sunday and the airport office couldn’t be reached. What touched me most was that you didn’t stop there—you continued to help me follow up the next day, and thanks to your persistence and kindness, I was finally able to retrieve my passport from the airport. I was so relieved and overjoyed, and I truly wish I had the chance to thank you in person before I checked out. Unfortunately, you weren’t working that day—but please know how much your support meant to me. You went above and beyond, and I will always remember your compassion and patience. I would also like to compliment the hotel itself—the room was very spacious and clean, the facilities were excellent, and the value for money was outstanding. The included breakfast was a lovely bonus too. I highly recommend Vulcan Hotel to anyone visiting Sydney! Thank you again for everything. I hope to stay with you again in the future. "I don't know what the previous guest cooked or if the room itself had an odor, but even after opening the windows for three days, the smell of stinky seafood wouldn't dissipate. The front desk staff were very friendly, the hotel is close to a supermarket, and they even provide iced water in the lobby."
