"During my stay, I found that the hotel staff seemed inexperienced, which adversely affected the quality of service. The arrangement for guests to dine at the nearby Spar using a voucher was also inconvenient and poorly managed. In one instance, I had planned to have dinner at the Protea Hotel, but when I arrived at the designated time, I discovered that the kitchen staff were already leaving. This meant that I was forced to leave before the scheduled dining hours, resulting in a very unsatisfactory dining experience."

"POSITIVE: Friendly staff, excellent breakfast (great omelet, variety, fresh fruit, etc.) Central location, walking distance to supermarket and other shops. NEGATIVE Loose doorknob, blown lightbulb, loose wall socket plate. Breakfast boxes for early departure were arranged but were not ready upon our departure. (We reported the blown light bulb, but it was not replaced during our stay.)"

"The moment the "Chef" wanted to offer me a salad with Feta I knew rhat she's not a Chef but an Auntie who is considered a good cook. First night supper I had a green salad with mushrooms drenched in oil after she said it's crumbled mushroom. For breakfast she offered me a plate full of baked beans, after I asked for them but for them to fill the plate is just a mess. I also had that with 3 slices of tomato and fried mushrooms. 2nd night there was a real Chef and the food was just marvelous, and she was very sweet. The bedroom is your standard Inn setup, but there's no hot warm in the bathroom basin, if U are more than 1.8m tall, U are going to hit your head against the shower head. At 1.67m tall, I could only reach the floor with the tips of my toe nails when using the toilet. And that's unusable for most South African women. Their pillows are just perfectly soft. They have freshly cut fruits in the morning, now that's a big plus for me."
