I highly recommend Hanting Hotel (Urumqi Hongshan Xiaoximen Branch)! The location is a huge advantage, being close to a shopping district, which makes dining, shopping, and getting around incredibly convenient. The hotel interior is clean and bright, and the rooms are meticulously cleaned with no strange odors. The mattress firmness is just right, ensuring a good night's sleep. A special shout-out to Ms. Subi at the front desk for her gentle yet professional service. The check-in process was smooth, she proactively provided directions to nearby attractions, and patiently answered all my questions. She was truly sincere. The staff's service awareness is excellent, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I've already saved this hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Urumqi!

I booked this hotel purely for its location, originally planning to stay at the Atour next door. But seeing the unique rooms here, I decided to try something different. The price was even a bit higher than Atour's, but the experience was significantly worse. The room only provided two bottles of water, no tea bags, and no mini-fridge. For breakfast, there was no milk, no tea, and no coffee. The only bread option was 'lieba' (Russian-style black bread). The sweet potatoes and corn were cold. All in all, it was a bad experience, and I regret not sticking with Atour. Plus, parking was inconvenient; the car was parked outdoors, and I had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs (the lobby is on the first floor, but you still have to go up a few steps).

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. However, I would like to share our experience with the complimentary photo session so that future guests know what to expect. If you book through Trip.com, please check carefully what is included. We were informed by the photo studio that our complimentary photo session did not include the traditional costume, while if th guests who booked through some other travel agencies were able to use the costume free of charge. We found this difference quite surprising. Another disappointing experience was the complimentary photos. The hotel receptionist told us that we would receive 3 free photos per person, so as two guests we expected 6 photos. However, when we arrived at the photo studio, we were told that the offer was actually 3 photos per room. The inconsistent information between the hotel and the photo studio caused unnecessary confusion and disappointment. I hope the hotel and the photo studio can provide consistent information in the future, so guests know exactly what is included before they arrive.

Even more touching was the restaurant manager, Mr. Wang! Seeing we were bringing our parents, he proactively helped us arrange meals, recommended easy-to-digest meals, and greeted us warmly every day. My parents praised us as ”feeling like having a new Xinjiang relative.” 😭 👉 The lunch buffet is also incredibly cost-effective, perfect for grabbing a meal when you're too lazy to go out. The beef and mutton are incredibly high quality! 🧹[Room Service - Perfect Details] The housekeeper cleaned the room promptly and thoroughly every day, neatly folding towels and robes. She even helped put away my parents' skincare products. The room was always spotless, and fresh fruit and snacks were delivered to the room every day. 👍 💯[Summary: A perfect choice for a trip to Xinjiang] This truly is a five-star hotel! Although the decor is a bit dated, the hotel's high standards mean the cleanliness and environment are absolutely reassuring. Parking is free, and the huge lot means you'll never struggle to find a spot. Plus, there are charging stations right outside, which is super convenient!

I stayed here for a few days. I had an unpleasant encounter in the elevator with a housekeeping staff member who forced their cart in with me. When I asked to get off first, they ignored me and retorted aggressively with something like, ”What's your problem?!” and refused to let me exit. Luckily, another staff member passed by and quickly intervened, telling her to stop and let me out. Other than that incident, the staff were generally quite polite. The rooms are a bit old, and if you're booking during peak season, you might be disappointed, so it's good to manage your expectations...

Facilities: Truly four-star hotel amenities; the room felt like it was back in the 2000s, with a telephone, bathrobes, and a refrigerator. Cleanliness: The room was very clean, spotless. Environment: There are restaurants and bakeries across the street. The hotel parking lot is large, and taxis are readily available. It's a 10-minute taxi ride to the Grand Bazaar. Service: Check-in was very quick, and check-out was also convenient.

The hygiene was acceptable. It's an old hotel, and one of the water bottles had clearly been opened and partially drunk by the previous guest. The staff promptly replaced it with a new one and even gave me two extra bottles, which was a nice gesture. However, the location is truly excellent. You step right out onto the Grand Bazaar pedestrian street, and the International Grand Bazaar is just across the road, with an abundance of delicious food and wonderful goods. The Grand Bazaar Teahouse next door is a lovely spot to enjoy tea and the view.

The room's ethnic style perfectly matched our expectations and imagination for our first trip to Xinjiang. We were extremely satisfied. The receptionist was also very friendly and spoke fluent Mandarin. The hotel's location is superb, right across from the International Grand Bazaar pedestrian street and next to the Grand Bazaar food street, saving us the hassle of taking a taxi. We can enjoy some of Urumqi's most must-see spots right outside our door! (Areas for improvement: adding a shower screen or curtain would be safer, or adding a non-slip mat to the shower area. The hairdryer needs replacing!) These minor flaws don't detract from the overall experience. If I have the chance to come to Urumqi again, I will definitely stay here again.
