"This is a beautiful, recently renovated hotel in Cervinia. Gorgeous rooms, fine dining (open kitchen) restaurant with creative and beautiful dishes, an incredibly stunning pool and wellness center with sauna, steam and Turkish baths. The hotel is small and we felt extremely well treated by the friendly staff. The hotel is just outside town and accessible via the hotel’s private Mercedes Benz shuttle. They also offer a discount on ski rentals."

The staff were super friendly, staff couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is warm and friendly staff from reception, restaurant to spa. The rooms were cosy and had everything we needed. "What I’ve experienced so far has convinced me that this is the only place I will stay at when I’m in Cervinia. From the time of booking, the owners and staff at Principe delle Nevi have been nothing but accommodating and helpful. They helped me with my taxi booking, and recommended places I could rent my snowboarding gear from. Upon reaching and entering my room, I was wowed by the fantastic view of the mountains and the picturesque village. Breakfast and dinner were part of my room booking, and I have to say, the quality of the food and attentiveness of service is what I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Whenever I had to go to town for my snowboarding lessons and be picked up after, the hotel complimentary taxi service would always be there to assist. In addition, the staff here are also fluent in English, and I appreciate that very much. I would recommend anyone visiting Cervinia to stay with Principe delle Nevi, and the hospitality they’ve been kind enough to extend me has definitely made me feel like this is my home away from home."

"2 family ski trip over the Christmas New Year holiday. The hotel is beautiful and unique. We had a 2 BR apartment which was very spacious, had 2 fireplaces and a small kitchenette. Rooms were impeccably furnished and so thoughtfully done. The hotel feels like a castle solidly built with stone and stucco and beautiful wood trims and floors. Amazing views out the windows of the Matterhorn and surrounding mountains. The hotel is very well staffed with top quality service. So helpful and knowledgeable. They helped with travel transfers, lunch and dinner reservations and even helped us with a doctor and pharmacy. They have a ready and waiting van service which takes you wherever you need to go in town. Short walk back from town if you prefer a stroll after dinner. Breakfast was amazing with bespoke smoothies and coffees. Dinners in the hotel were wonderful with a very nice, reasonably priced wine list. Spa is super with pool, hot tubs, sauna and room to spread out. They also have a fully kitted out gym with weights and cardio. Can't wait to make a return trip."

"Let's start by saying that the B&B is very beautiful and our room (Joseph Louis) was very nice, well-furnished, welcoming, and clean, although it was really poorly soundproofed (we could hear everything going on in the adjacent or above room). The location is strategic for watching the "dezarpa," and the nearby highway, on the other hand, doesn't disturb the peace at all. The breakfast, which we had read was gargantuan, we found good, with genuine, homemade products (we asked for soy or oat milk, but they didn't have any). What really ruined our stay was the intense cold we suffered in the room. Since it was a rainy weekend with outside temperatures between 2 and 5 degrees Celsius, we asked several times if the heating could be turned on; we were told that the central heating would come on at 7:00 PM. In reality, it was turned on around 8:00 PM and turned off around 10:00 PM, while the next morning it never came on. It's a shame, because Mrs. Mara's kindness was truly exceptional, and she was very helpful and thoughtful (we even had the room available until the afternoon). Definitely worth considering in the height of summer, but avoid at the end of the season."

"First time in Cervinia and booked this hotel through Crystal ski. First impression was our room was small, but had 3 beds in, we had just booked a twin room, so we stood one of the single beds up against the wall to give us more room. We paid extra for a Mountain View, but as we arrived late at night, we couldn't see much in the distance. Woke up in the morning, pulled the blinds back, and there was the Matterhorn right in front of us. Stunning. Breakfast was good, all hot and cold, buffet style. Boot and ski room was a bit cramped, but ok, gondola just across the road, so great for carrying skis etc. The hotel bar is a great bar to have drinks, plenty of places to sit, and has a pool table. For dinner, it's buffet style for starters and dessert, and for main meal it's a bit like school dinners, and may a I add with school dinner size portions. All the staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, except for the restaurant manageress who served the food, who we found very rude and miserable. So good points of the hotel are, great position, lovely staff (except for one person) food was ok and a good bar. Downsides are boot room, a bit run down and small and dinner is served between 7 and 8.15 pm if I remember. Make sure you don't leave it too late as they run out of food, and once it's gone, it's gone. Would I return, yes I would due to the position of the hotel and Cervinia / Zermatt is fantastic for skiing."

The heat in our room was either freezing cold or steaming hot. Taking a shower was interesting. With just a bit more effort and small investment this could be great. It is a lost opportunity"

"First time in Valtournenche, found this B&B on Tripadvisor and it was a great choice. Large and well-equipped room, like the bathroom and the balcony, beautiful view of the mountain overlooking the town, relaxing. Kind and knowledgeable receptionist, good cleaning and breakfast. There are however some small negatives: the bed is remade in a simple way by pulling up sheets and bedspread, it does not give the sense of perfection. Fruit is completely missing from breakfast. The reception opens during office hours, in case of need you have to call, it is not the best. Parking problem, but this is common to almost all the structures in the place, there are only two free spaces, paid garage, there is however a free parking a few dozen meters away, quite large but in August it is a race to see who arrives first. These flaws do not compromise the good judgment considering the good quality-price ratio."

"We stayed in the Principe delle nevi over the New Years period. The hotel is in amazing location and is absolutely beautiful. The majority of the staff are warm and welcoming and super helpful. Special mention to Marco for being so kind and going above and beyond throughout our stay. Kareem and Benjamin were always on hand to drop us to and from the hotel with a joke and a smile! The hotel has changed ownership in the last few months and this is more obvious in the restaurant. I am sure the service in the restaurant will improve as the season progresses. Thanks again for great memories and hopefully we will be back in the not to distant future"

"Hotel with a great location (walk to lifts) and potential, but it is sorely let down by a few managerial issues. PROS: location and cleanliness. Nearby free parking. Staff are friendly. CONS: If there was an expectancy on my side that this is an Italian 2-3 star, not a 4 star, I would not point out negatives. However, I am familiar with hotel standards in Italy and this one is not operating as a 4 star Italian, more like 2-3 star, so be aware. On arrival, despite providing a list of rooms with guests for our friends, and having provided it online, they were checked into the incorrect rooms upon arrival. The paid promise of room with mountain view, was also not fulfilled completely. The rooms are decent, but we were provided with no basics you would expect of a standard 4 star, like water etc even if it was to purchase. There is a fridge but it’s left empty. Ours was functioning / cold, but had no working light. We were given 4 small shampoo bottles but no shower gel/conditioner/etc as standard practice, just one very small hand soap. Customer services basics and communication could be better. When I booked the hotel, the description stated there is a spa&relaxation area - but upon arrival, this was being repaired for the entire duration of our stay without notifying us beforehand or altering the online descriptions, which would have affected my choice in booking. We had other choices of hotels and this was important to us for socialising and relaxing after skiing. When I approached the front staff about it on day 1&2 out of 3, and explained that it’s unacceptable, they didn’t offer any alternatives and reluctantly said they would speak to the manager, who was only arriving much later and refused to call him. I finally asked for a voucher or access to a nearby hotel’s and one member of staff finally arranged something; but it was again very dubious, sub standard and unprepared so we decided not to use it. Breakfast was average, but they had only one very slow coffee machine, which resulted in constant, long cues every single day. It also had problems from time to time and staff had to reset it a few times. I suggest to the hotel management that they sort out these basic issues to live up to their stars, or face getting less ideal reviews."
