"It feels like we discovered a gem in the Hotel Punta Margherita. We stayed for six nights with half board. Erika and her family were welcoming hosts and made sure everything was taken care of. We had some travel disruptions meaning we were late for dinner and they tried very hard to accommodate us. The rooms were clean, had good heating , and worked great for our purpose. We had a balcony which was nice to enjoy the views. The bathroom was big, clean, and had lots of hot water. There are only two outlets so we had to be soaring in what we charged when, but we were able to make it work. We skied at Valtournenche and the hotel provided a drop off in the morning to the base of the telecabina as well as a pick up after we were done in the afternoon. When we chose to come back early, the free public ski bus is just across the street. The hotel also has a boot room to stash our ski equipment with boot dryers as well. Breakfast and dinner were provided in our rate and both were exactly what we needed. For breakfast we had yogurt, fruit, breads, meats, cheese, coffee, and juice. For dinner we had a salad bar and then two courses that varied each day and a delicious desert. The family run nature means you get a personal service and get to see the same people throughout the week. Thank you Erika and family for helping make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed our week very much and look forward to returning in the future."

"This is the second time I've been to this hotel, and whilst it is spacious, well run and well located - it does need some improvements. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which consists of a twin bed, which can be a double, plus a single, with a further pull-out single underneath. As we were two guys, we flipped a coin as to who had the double and who had the single. Perhaps if they replaced the single with a sofa bed, then two people could each have a double? The room is perfectly comfortable and spacious for two, but is not really ideal for three adults. The décor is a bit retro, and the bathroom could do with a refresh too. Don't get me wrong - it's not tatty, just not up to date. Breakfast is okay, but more limited than I have experienced in other similar (even less expensive) hotels. Dinner is generally very good, with a starter, first course and main course - all à la carte, and ordered at the time - not at breakfast. Service is generally good. Housekeeping is very good. The hotel gets you a 20% discount off ski rental at a shop that's 2 minutes walk away too. The boot room is still poor. It is small, out of date and only accessible from the slopes via a 4 person service lift. I don't know how they can improve the lift, but the room, lockers and ski storage are desperate for an update."

"Service was excellent. Especially Mohammad, he remembers all our coffee and drink preferences! The room was spacious enoigh, with a beautiful balcony and view. The location was excellent too, just 5 min walk to the ski lifts and cable cars. Highly recommended!"

"You can get to this place by road but we did Ski In - Ski Out for Lunch off Red 3. Lovely High End feel to this restaurant and the service was friendly and efficient. Food was great and we thought the prices were very reasonable too. We will do Dinner next time we're passing."

Art Hotel Grivola

"We were fairly tired from an entire day of ski and we did not want to eat too much so late at night, it was around 10:00. We shared a pizza and a salad and to our surprise on the bill the tap filtered water was charged at 8 Eur this was in addition to the Coperta which in most restaurants ranges from 6 to 12 Eur. We ended up paying for a bill of 43 Eur, a pizza and a salad out of which 20 Eur was filtered tap water and “service charge”. A disgusting behavior from what seemed a nice Restaurant. We are staying for 5 more nights I will make sure to stay clear of this restaurant. I am well traveled, I strongly recommend anyone looking to enjoy their night to go somewhere else. @owners, if you see this, this is not a way to treat your guests. Cheap cheap cheap, disgusted"
