"I stayed at the Volgo-Don Hotel for over a week, and overall my impressions were positive. The hotel is located in the Krasnoarmeysky District, approximately 30 km from the city center, right on the banks of the Volga-Don Canal. The location is quite remote, but quiet, with pleasant views of the canal and residential buildings. All basic amenities are within walking distance: there's a Pyaterochka supermarket in the building, a Magnit store nearby, a tram stop a 5-minute walk away, and a shopping center about 10 minutes away. The building is typically Soviet-era, about 8 stories tall, and feels like a former dormitory, but the interior has been fairly well renovated. The room was spacious and clean, and housekeeping was performed daily. The amenities are good for a three-star hotel: a refrigerator, kettle, dishes, tea, coffee, and sugar. The bathroom has a full bathtub and shower, and we had no problems with the water supply. The Wi-Fi is stable, although not particularly fast, but sufficient for basic tasks. Mobile reception in this area is virtually nonexistent, but that's more a feature of the location than the hotel. Among the downsides: a very basic breakfast with minimal selection, suitable only for the most unfussy guests. I was also a bit surprised by the maid's behavior, asking me where I was going every morning—it seemed overly intrusive. The very small elevator is also worth noting: it's cramped for two people, and it's difficult to use with luggage. Overall, this is a good option for a quiet stay, especially if quiet, canal views, and nearby amenities are important."

"The choice of the hotel was based on a recommendation and we did not regret it at all. Very convenient location, the staff is attentive and responsive. Our room was on the 4th floor, with an amazing view of the Volga. The room is perfectly clean, there is everything for a comfortable stay. A large bed with a very comfortable mattress, French windows in the room and the original design of the room itself made a very good impression. Special thanks for the variety of breakfast, everything is very tasty. We will definitely come back."
