"This hotel should not be on trip.com. It is so very outdated. The landscape is overgrown and there were 3 large, dead trees on the lot. The front desk clerk was not friendly…not a welcome a smile or a thank you. The breakfast buffet was sparse with few options. So many signs of an aging facility. Not worth the $225/night we paid."

"This is an old, outdated hotel. It is cheap for a reason. No security lock on the door. Pool was too cold to swim in. No hairdryer in the room. Curtains were ripped. It ‘felt’ dirty."

"This hotel was filthy! My husband and I had white socks on and by the time we left our socks were black. Our sheets were dirty, there was three little things that looked like bugs on the sheets, also hair. The tv didn’t work. The gentleman that was working Saturday night , came up to our room and looked at it, and didn’t have a clue of what to do. He left and never returned. My husband went downstairs again and found him. He said, he couldn’t remember what room we were in. Paint was chipped off the walls. Every corner of the room was dirty."

Best Western Regency Plaza Hotel - St. Paul East

"Overall the room was clean and beds were comfortable. Has a good Breakfast. We had the smoke alarm beeping the sound it needs a battery change and would beep every 40 seconds. It started during night and in morning I told front desk...was not fixed until later in afternoon. The front desk person on duty was not friendly. The biggest complaint I have was that I arrived in the area at 12:30PM and arrived. Was staying 3 nights and am a Choice Member. I asked if there was a room ready and he said yes but there would be a $40 early checkin charge as checkin was not till 3. In all the years of traveling I have Neve heard of this especially to club members and staying 3 nights with rooms ready...weill never stay again. Also some shady types of people hanging in parking lot."
