"The biggest surprise of my Weishan trip was the 'Xishe' guesthouse! The entire courtyard is charmingly antique, with a truly unique design where every step reveals a new beautiful view. Sunbathing on the wooden veranda upstairs was incredibly therapeutic. Not only is the environment stunning, but the hospitality is also exceptional. The landlady is warm, generous, and incredibly elegant. During our stay, she helped us with many small daily issues, making us feel like we were visiting old friends – so warm and thoughtful. Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk lady: while relaxing at the guesthouse, I heard her playing songs by Chang Chen-yue and Stefanie Sun! They're all my favorite artists, her taste is simply divine! Listening to my favorite tunes in such a beautiful courtyard truly set the perfect ambiance. Full recommendation, I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Weishan!"

"The rooms are very unique, located in a century-old building. The courtyard is very quiet and peaceful. The butler service was excellent, truly a worthwhile experience. They responded promptly to any issues and resolved them effectively."

"The hotel is modeled after a Beijing courtyard house and looks great in photos. The owner said it opened this year and is completely new, seemingly renovated from the former office compound. The floors and main structure are over a decade old, and the wall paintings are probably new, so there's no smell. It's much cleaner and tidier than most B&Bs. The owner's wife personally cleans everything, taking care of every detail. The owner and his wife are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are two tea areas where you can chat and enjoy the fresh air. One neighbor mentioned staying at another B&B in the ancient city and finding it less pleasant, and they agreed. There's even a glass room upstairs for drying clothes. The hotel is very close to the Dafu Farmers Market, making it convenient for buying fruit and other things. It's a short cut to the ancient city, only about five or six minutes away. Our family of five stayed for nine nights and was very comfortable. It was a truly wonderful stay. Oh, and I highly recommend staying on the second floor for better ventilation! This place is nothing special; it's simply because the owner and his family are so kind. "What to say? The owners of the homestay were just so kind to me. You don't speak the language? No problem, they are fully equipped with a translator. I am French and I don't speak the language, I never had a problem communicating with them. Also, the room was clean and confortable. The homestay is well located.
