"Wyndham Grand Yichang Stay Review: Perfect for Both Business Trips and Family Vacations I recently traveled to Yichang for a business trip and decided to bring my family along. We chose the newly opened Wyndham Grand. After a two-night stay, I feel this hotel successfully balances both business and leisure needs, making it highly recommendable. Location and Transportation: The hotel is situated on Yanjiang Avenue in Wujiagang District, right next to the Yangtze River. It's about a fifteen-minute drive to Yichang East Railway Station and not far from the Three Gorges Airport. For those driving, there are both above-ground and underground parking facilities, which is very convenient for both business travelers and families. Check-in and Room: The lobby is on the 34th floor, and the 128-meter-high 'cloud lobby' offers truly stunning views. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Yangtze River and the riverside scenery, giving you a vacation vibe right from check-in. We booked a river-view room, which was around 45 square meters, spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the river and a clear view of the cruise terminal. The decor is modern minimalist, incorporating elements of the Three Gorges culture, with subtle cloud and wave patterns that add a local touch. The room features smart home controls, a complimentary mini-bar, and an HD TV. The desk comes with an ergonomic chair, making it perfectly suitable for business work. My family was also very satisfied with the bedding comfort and soundproofing. Business Facilities: The hotel boasts 1800 square meters of meeting space, including a pillar-less ballroom and multiple function rooms, capable of hosting business meetings, training sessions, and banquets. There's also a business center and free high-speed WiFi, with efficient workspaces on the executive floors. I worked on my laptop in the room, and the internet was stable, handling documents and video conferences without any issues. Family and Leisure: This was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has a children's pool and a dedicated children's play area, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. The indoor heated pool has clean water and an appropriate temperature. After a swim, relaxing in the sauna and steam room washed away the fatigue of a day's work. The gym is also well-equipped. Dining: The all-day dining restaurant on the 34th floor offers a rich variety for breakfast, including both Chinese and Western hot dishes and desserts. I particularly recommend the local specialty, 'red oil noodles,' which is authentic! For dinner, we tried the Chinese restaurant, which is reportedly managed by a Michelin-starred chef. The dishes were exquisite, and the ingredients fresh. In the evening, the bar area features a foreign singer, creating a great atmosphere suitable for business entertaining or a quiet drink for couples. Service: From the doorman proactively helping with luggage to the efficient check-in at the front desk and the attentive service from restaurant staff, every employee was polite and courteous. The 24-hour front desk was always available, and the overall service quality can truly be described as a 'Grand experience.' A Small Suggestion: The lobby is on the 34th floor, requiring an elevator transfer to get to the guest rooms, which can be a bit disorienting at first. However, the floor signs are clear, and you'll get used to it after one trip. Overall, the Wyndham Grand Yichang serves as an efficient base for business travel and a comfortable choice for a family vacation. Being able to finish business discussions and then go upstairs to swim with the kids and enjoy the river view—this 'work-life balance' experience is exactly what I was looking for."

The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and all the amenities were complete. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and the breakfast offered a wide variety. "The room wasn't brand new, but it was well-equipped. The hotel's location is super convenient, making it easy to get to the Three Gorges Tourist Center, Binjiang Park, shopping areas, and bus stops. All the staff were incredibly friendly and patient. The cleaning lady even brought us a drying rack when she saw we were air-drying clothes, which was a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay."

Any issues I reported during my stay were addressed promptly, and their attitude was excellent. Thumbs up! Environment: Located on Yanjiang Avenue, it's a convenient 10-minute walk from the Tourist Center. Facilities: The facilities are pretty standard. This hotel might have been a Hilton Garden Inn before."

"The hotel is brand new with a French-inspired decor. The staff were warm and attentive, especially the transportation team who helped me coordinate a free self-drive car. This allowed me to take my mother and son on a scenic drive along the beautiful National Highway 348. Additionally, the breakfast spread was excellent, and the pool was fantastic – you can even dive to the bottom and look through a clear glass window to see the Gezhouba Dam! 😎"

"The service was excellent; seeing that we were two adults and two children, the staff proactively offered to add a tatami bed for us. The location is fantastic, right by Binjiang Avenue. In the evenings, a stroll along the river is lovely with the cool breeze and beautiful scenery. Just across the way is the Yiling Yangtze River Bridge, which you can walk across to get a panoramic view of both banks – majestic mountains on the south side and a bustling cityscape on the north. It’s only a few minutes' walk from the Wanda Tourist Center, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The local snacks nearby are also affordable. There's a free underground parking lot. Just contact the front desk in advance, and they'll send you the location. It's easy to find the parking lot by following the navigation. Thank you."

"I chose this hotel for my trip to Yichang. It's right by the Yangtze River, and the river view from the hotel is beautiful. On a clear day, you can catch a stunning sunset. The Riverside Park is just downstairs, making it very convenient for walks and exercise. The butler service was excellent; they sent hotel information promptly and the room came with complimentary welcome fruits, drinks, and snacks. The shower had plenty of hot water. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay."
