"We had email exchanges with La Maison De Rhodes before our visit so we were already confident that this was a well-run hotel, but the reality was so much more. Firstly, inside and outside it is stunning - the old stone and wood frontage of the property and wrought ironwork lead you to a wood beamed interior, exposed brickwork, lots of dried flowers and plump sofas. Our room was stunning with ceiling beams, white linen and stone floors and a very comfortable bed. The location was ideal, down a side street by the Cathedral. The staff were friendly and very helpful, providing restaurant recommendations, arranging taxis etc We had a really lovely 3 days in Troyes and La Maison de Rhodes was a huge part of that."

"We returned to Om Sweet Home to stay in the Wooden House for ten days. It was fabulous: the house is very luxurious, beautifully decorated and spacious. It has three double bedrooms, three bathrooms and a separate cloakroom, as well as a large kitchen, dining area and sitting room, so plenty of space. We loved the pretty garden surrounding the property and the generous pool which was heated. The weather was amazing so we were able to swim and sunbathe every day. A special treat was to sit outside with drinks/supper enjoying the stunning views of the farmland and lots of birds - it was so quiet. The area is a big attraction for us as there are so many things to do. Just 20 mins away are the lakes and Forest Orient. We hired bicycles to explore the Voie Vert which goes around the lakes and into Troyes and along the Seine and also enjoyed the forest and lake walks. Troyes is a fascinating medieval city, well worth visiting. There are also chateaux, an abbey and masses of stained glass in the churches to visit. We loved it all so much that we have already booked for next year"

"Lovely quiet location, with clean and well appointed rooms. Charming staff. Excellent gourmet dinner in the restaurant. There are some rooms on the ground floor for those with limited mobility, but no elevator for the other floors, so remember to request one if you need it."

"A good place to stop on the way back to the UK from the Alps. A great location on the centre with a secure car park a few mins walk away. Friendly staff. We visited with a dog and felt welcomed. Breakfast was good with nice coffee and juices. Would recommend."

"My wife and I stayed here overnight during very stormy weather. Thunder and lightning took out all the power. The staff were wonderful in a crisis and everything was done to make sure our stay was as good as possible. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. At first only cold food was available and we enjoyed a wonderful salad. With power back on normal service was resumed. The manger was absolutely brilliant throughout. The room was comfortable and spotless as was the bathroom. We shall certainly return."
