"Found a hidden gem guesthouse on this Fanjing Mountain trip! The decor is fresh and inviting, with a lovely courtyard surrounded by greenery. Waking up to mountain views right outside our window was picturesque and perfect for photos. The facilities are brand new, with WiFi, AC, and toiletries all provided. The owner was incredibly thoughtful, helping us plan our hiking routes up and down the mountain and even advising us on the best time to catch the sea of clouds. It's super close to the mountain gate, which saved us the hassle of an early morning rush. In the evenings, we could relax and chat over tea in the courtyard. Location, cleanliness, and service were all top-notch. Truly the best guesthouse in Dong Village – I've already recommended it to all my friends planning a trip to Fanjing Mountain!"

"Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious. The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock. The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard."

"This trip to Fanjingshan with the kids was made absolutely perfect by choosing this hidden gem of a guesthouse! If you're looking for a family room that's modern and smartly equipped, yet full of warmth and a space where kids can run wild and adults can relax, this is the place to be! 👨👩👧👦 Perfect Family Room Layout Our family of four (my husband and I + my 17-year-old sister + my 8-year-old brother) stayed in the family suite. The layout is fantastic: two bedrooms with a spacious living room, ensuring privacy while allowing everyone to gather together in the evening to chat and plan the next day's itinerary. Comfortable Sleep: The room has two 1.8-meter beds, which is amazing! For families with teenagers, two people can sleep comfortably and move around freely. Natural Light and Views: The room has excellent natural light; the sunlight streams in warmly during the day. Opening the window, the distant Fanjingshan mountains are layered and shrouded in mist—the scenery is breathtaking, like a painting. The kids could gaze at it for ages. 🤖 Modern Smart Experience & Comfortable Details I initially thought the guesthouse facilities in the village would be basic, but this place was incredibly modern! Smart Home System: The room was equipped with a Tmall Genie smart speaker, allowing you to control the lights, curtains, etc., simply by speaking from your bed. For the kids and us who were exhausted after a day of hiking, this was a lifesaver – incredibly high-tech! Excellent Temperature Control: The temperature difference between day and night in the mountains is significant, but the room had central air conditioning, which cooled and heated the rooms quickly, making it very comfortable. Bath Experience: I must praise the shower water! The water flow was excellent, the water pressure was stable, and the hot water came on fast. After hiking, a long, hot shower completely washed away all the fatigue – I didn't want to get out! Hygiene: I give the hygiene a perfect score. Every corner was spotless, the bedding was white and soft, and there were no unpleasant odors, making my stay very reassuring. The owners are a retired couple of teachers from Beijing; they were very polite and friendly. Hearing them talk about their initial motivation for opening this place was truly touching: A few years ago, they were thinking about finding a nice place to retire. They felt that Fanjingshan had excellent air quality and a beautiful environment, so they planned to build a building there and invite some of their former colleagues from Beijing to come and retire together. The building was completed, designed to be incredibly warm and homey, but due to various reasons, their colleagues couldn't come. The two elders didn't let this labor of love go to waste; instead, they simply transformed it into a hotel. ”Since our colleagues couldn't come, let's share this comfort with more people who are meant to.” Because their initial intention was to build it for their own retirement, the house's amenities are exceptionally well-designed: It's completely home-style, unlike the cold and impersonal feel of traditional hotels. The kitchen and living room are very human-centeredly arranged, and the owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the details. The two gentlemen have poured their love for life into this place; staying here feels as warm and welcoming as returning to the home of their elders in Beijing. Summary: Suitable for: Families with children (especially multigenerational families with elderly members), couples seeking quality living, and young people wanting to experience mountain life. "This guesthouse is really nice, with a simple yet stylish decor. The landlady was super nice; seeing that we were two moms with three kids, she worried we wouldn't fit and upgraded our room. The room was very spacious, with a floor-to-ceiling window offering mountain views. The rooftop is convenient for laundry and drying, perfect for families with kids or those who frequently need to wash clothes. Parking is right outside the door, and there are dining options nearby and across the street. We encountered heavy rain and couldn't go up the mountain, but if we get another chance in the future, we'll definitely stay here again."

Upon arrival, they helped with luggage and offered locally brewed welcome tea. When the weather turned cold, they brought extra blankets without us asking. Any requests were promptly handled, and their 24/7 attentiveness made us feel right at home. The village where the courtyard is located, Yunshe Village, is truly a fairyland. Known as the 'First Tujia Village in China,' it's framed by green mountains, with the Longtan River winding through. Tujia wooden houses are reflected in the water, and flagstone paths connect fields and homes. There's no commercial hustle and bustle, just ducks and geese swimming, and windmills turning. Strolling through, the natural beauty and slow pace allow for complete relaxation."
