Longsheng Hotels with Balcony

If you get the chance to visit Longji/Longsheng to hike through the amazing rice paddies, then you absolutely must stay at Li'An Lodge. The rooms are lovely, clean and quaint, and a cultural alternative to the more modern options in the larger cities. The lodge is run by Aaron who goes above and beyond to help visitors, give local recs, and speaks perfect English. He will also help you avoid any tourist traps.  Li'An lodge is also built on the highest point so you have a fabulous view, and is situated right at the starting point of the main hike in local area. The rooms give you a great view of the rice paddies and the village.  The food is simple and great, or you can eat around the town, which is very atmospheric. We came in the low season end of March, which was misty but fab and we had most of the places to ourselves.  Really can't recommend enough. If you get to Guilinxi (station) they will send a driver to get you. You can also book directly with the hotel over email with Aaron which is easy and efficient. 

Longji One Art Hotel was one of the highlights of our Guangxi trip. Beautiful mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and exceptionally kind staff. The hotel blends modern comfort, captivating art decor and photos with the charm of the rice terraces perfectly. Dinner In hotel was deliciously prepared and included cultural singing and dancing. Grandma’s distilled rice wine was exceptional. Waking up to the mist over the valley was unforgettable. Hiking paths through rice terraces, hilltops, and wooded areas start just outside the hotel door. Highly recommended hotel for anyone visiting Longji Rice Terraces.

The boss and his family are very nice. Rice wine was served with the meal, which was delicious. The room is in wood color and very new. You can see the beautiful terraced fields from the balcony of the room, and you can see the starry sky while lying on the bed. About the location: It takes 10 minutes to walk after getting off the car in the parking lot. There are elderly people at the Taiwan Melaleuca Observation Deck and we walked for an hour. The photos show the scenery at the foot of the hotel, the terrace, and the entrance.

LOCATION: Trip.com showed this stay as very close to the cable-car (Jinkeng terrace). That was the main reason for us to choose this place. But, on arrival, we found that this accommodation is about ~19 km far from the cable car station. So, it was an accidental choice for us. Nevertheless, this gave us an opportunity to enjoy this stay – free from hustle-bustle, no regrets. We realized the serenity of this place after visiting Dazhai! 😊 TRAVEL: Foreigners with family and kids. We traveled to the Longji Terraces from Yangshuo by 13:30 bus. It took us about 4 hours. Although we booked the ticket to Dazhai (last stop), we got off the bus at the Jinzhu intersection. The driver knows the hotel and its staff. I did reach out to Ms. Liao Yanzhen (aka Jane) through WeChat (same number as in Trip.com) before starting the journey. She informed the bus driver about us & it helped us a lot. ACCOMMODATION: It is located uphill from the Jinzhu intersection – about 15-minute walk. Since we had luggage, Ms. Jane arranged for a car to carry all our luggage to/from the stay. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Depending on the room type, a balcony view helps. I had the valley view, which was very nice early in the morning. The room is built on a treehouse concept with modern bath and restroom facilities. It had a kettle, WiFi, etc., all that comes with a standard reservation. FOOD: Received the menu available and the price per item through WeChat. The common dining area is spacious. Food portions were large and tasty! For the hotel location, the cost is reasonable. STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to make your stay comfortable. We managed all our interactions through the translator app. They surprised the kids with popcorn! During our stay, we played cards after dinner for a few hours in the common area, and the staff were kind enough to help us with table and chairs. Also, on the last day, they showed us their traditional way of preparing food and the ingredients. ONLY SUGGESTION to the hotel: please address the door noise. It is too loud and annoying for occupants as well as neighbors.

We chose this hotel for the 270 view and the amazing balcony, and it was even beter than we expected. From the first moment on it was perfect: our luggage was carried right up to our room, we ordered dinner at the hotel and they brought it to our balcony, the food is very much recommended and home made! The breakfast was very delicious as well! The room was extremely spacious and comfortable, the design is really beautiful and the wooden interior feels authentic. You are close to the village but high enough to get a better view, and we walked to the Golden Buddha top in about 45 minutes along the fields (stunning!!!) I am so happy we stayed here for 3 days as it was the highlight of our trip, watching the sunset from our balcony and bed, eating the amazing food, and being received so well!

We stayed at the Longsheng Huanlongge Panorama Inn for one night while visiting the rice terraces. We arrived at the hotel after taking a bus and then taxi from Guilin. The hotel is up a hill from where the taxi can drop you, but your luggage is carried up to the top using a special winch system! On arrival we were offered tea and local berries which were lovely. We had our room upgraded to a suite at the very top of the hotel building which offered amazing views over the rice terraces from its private wraparound balcony! The room itself was clean and comfortable with a huge amount of space. We ate dinner in the hotels restaurant which was tasty and reasonably priced when taking the location into account. One of our highlights was the included breakfast, there were lots of different parts of it, which were all delicious. After checking out we hiked through the rice terraces to Ping’an where we caught a bus back to Guilin. The hotel were also very helpful advising us about the hike, buses, luggage storage etc. They also had a very cute dog who was very well behaved! A big advantage of staying here was experiencing the rice terraces before the bus loads of tourists arrived. We would recommend staying here.

I really want to leave a review of the hotel and the area in general. We stayed here with our family and children for two nights. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel and the hosts' hospitality! They welcomed us like family! Warm, thoughtful, and attentive! The boutique hotel is modern and stylish, with a smart home system throughout. Cleanliness, excellent air conditioning, crisp white linens, towels, and robes. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Everything is new and perfect. It's a little piece of luxury, modern paradise amidst stunning mountain scenery! The food is incredibly delicious. We ate all our meals at the hotel and enjoyed every dish! The view from our room was stunning! Special thanks for taking us everywhere and patiently waiting while we explored. They gave us so many gifts! I'd dreamed of a photo shoot, and it was so nice to receive that as a gift! And the trip to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset was incredible, magical! Every moment was taken care of! All our wishes were fulfilled instantly, as if the hosts could read our minds. My worries about insects were in vain. No one bit us. We felt like we were in a fairy tale!!! I'll definitely come back to China again, and I'll definitely come back here and stay at this hotel!

What a find! This guesthouse is absolutely excellent. When staying at guesthouses, you always worry about things not living up to expectations, and while the online photos looked great, this place really nailed the details. From the bedsheets to the toiletries, from the tea to the food at their restaurant – I highly recommend their spicy chicken and rice paddy fish – everything shows the owner's dedication. It felt just like being at home, very reassuring. The staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly accommodating. I hope your business continues to thrive, and that you stay true to your original vision and maintain this level of service quality.

All in all an extremely pleasant stay! The location is absolutely stunning. Sure, it might be a little bit off the beaten track, but the views are all the more rewarding and the hiking path from Dazhai is also highly recommended. The hotel lobby also functions as a big living room and a little restaurant run by the owners. The food is excellent and well priced (definitely try their rice wine!). Because we were there in winter and it was cold, the owners even put a small radiator under our table to make it comfortable. Generally, the owners were super nice and friendly and adding their absolutely adorable puppy, we almost couldn't bring ourselves to leave. The rooms were very clean, have a small separate bathroom and we had a small balcony with view over the rice terraces. For a more budget option there is also rooms without AC or view, in that case you can still enjoy quite a bit of the scenery from the living room downstairs or just by exploring the surroundings on foot. (The picture is shot from our balcony, but sadly some of the view was obscured by the winter mist.) We will definitely try to come again sometime in summer and are already excited thinking about staying in this hotel again.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel; it’s in a great location, and the view from my room is pretty impressive! The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, though it’s not very well soundproofed—but that’s fine as long as your neighbors aren’t too noisy. The food was very good; the included dinner and breakfast portions are more than enough—no need to worry about that. As for my rating of the service (3/5), it has nothing to do with the hotel staff, who are very friendly, and it was easy to communicate with them even though I don’t speak Chinese. The problem stemmed from communication before I arrived at the hotel. I tried to arrange my arrival through the hotel’s taxi service several days in advance, but received no response from the hotel—neither on Trip nor on WeChat (they didn’t accept my request). The hotel replied one hour before my 6:00 p.m. arrival (luckily, I hadn’t planned to arrive any earlier), but unfortunately, I had already made other arrangements. Better communication in advance regarding this shuttle service would have been preferable. Aside from this minor issue, I highly recommend this very pleasant hotel!
