"While I can't fault the customer service, the accomodation is beyond tired and overpriced for something so run down. The bed was like cardboard, with very thin blankets. Linen in not supplied for bunk beds even though you'll pay extra to use them - I'm not sure what the extra payment actually covers given there are no extra towels or linen provided. The couch in the room was filthy, as was the carpet. Thankfully we were travelling with our own crockery and cutlery so didn't have to use too many things in the cabin."

"This long-overdue review of a most praiseworthy boutique hotel is actually kick-started by a newspaper review I read the other day which (with full acknowledgement to the writer in ‘Escape’!) said it ‘is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed at in Australia’…… that writer took the words out of my mouth! We had the Kingston Suite for an couple of nights and it was a feast for the eyes…. except the word ‘feast’ probably sounds too big and bold considering the serenity of the room and its sublimely tasteful and calm-inducing decor. We actually liked their towel choice so much we took ourselves to Sheridan whilst in Ballarat and bought ourselves copycat towels to take home! We’d also have liked to have taken home the luxe linen and their stunning hallway table…..indeed we could actually just transplant the whole hotel across to Adelaide to fill the gap we definitely have in the SA market for such superb small-scale hotels with so much comfort and warm welcoming hosts. Also, breakfast could not have been more perfectly assembled and portioned. Very well done!"

"The landlord is from Northeast China and has been in Australia for many years. He runs this yard after retirement. It is very tidy. We were delayed on the road that day and arrived at nearly 10 o'clock in the evening. The landlord Leon had been waiting for us in the living room. When he saw our car entering the yard, he greeted us through the window and welcomed us. It felt like home!"

"We had booked ahead, however for family reasons we had to change our dates and weren’t sure how many days we could stay. The staff were so understanding and let us just take it day by day. We ended up having 4 nights at their lovely park, clean ,tidy and the new drive through are great. Top G’Day park👍"
