"- Location & service was good, however the bed (the most important thing) was the worst i’ve ever had…
- Firstly it wasn't a double bed as i booked, it was two single beds. I usually don’t mind but when the two single mattresses were put together, there is a very huge gap in between.
- Secondly the mattresses were way too soft or weak. I would say they have been heavily overused and there is no support left in the mattresses. The beds gave us back pains.
- We did ask the reception for a mattress topper or a mattress pad that would hopefully help with the multiple issues of the bed, however they said they did not have any …"

"Unfortunately, airco did not work in the room : yes
If there was a fan placed but for such a hotel this does not belong to. Soon in the room and at breakfast very warm! And no air conditioning. Surely with high temperatures can and should differently. Have better experience in other hotels"

Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located in the old town of Bruges, making it very convenient for getting around. Just a heads-up: the entrance is right on a cobblestone street, so I wouldn't recommend bringing very heavy luggage.
The hotel's common areas are quite stylish, but the rooms feel a bit dated.
Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety and high-quality options.
The biggest downside was the extremely low shower pressure in the rooms on the first floor (second floor for Americans). It made showering quite uncomfortable and chilly. I've seen other reviews mention the shower pressure issue, so I'm not sure if it's a widespread problem or just in certain rooms.

JJanin W.A super centrally located, very nice hotel with beautiful and comfortable rooms.
The breakfast buffet could be a bit larger and have more vegan options.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a fantastic location, and the staff's service is excellent. They're very attentive and pay attention to every detail, from welcoming us to bidding us farewell. They even carry your luggage to your room. The pillows are very comfortable, and the soundproofing is great. Plus, they have a terrace with views of part of the city. We're leaving very happy!

NNeilJHotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!

GGuest UserFantastic hotel! I stayed here for a business trip back in 2007, and returning in 2026, it feels just as welcoming. The hotel facilities are great, the environment is clean and hygienic, and the front desk staff are incredibly warm and patient. The restaurant is excellent, and the bedding is wonderfully comfortable! Definitely recommend!

GGuest UserThe room is quite big for Belgium, and the service is good. The advantage is that the wet and dry rooms are separated, but the only drawback is that there is no sink in the bathroom, so you have to go to the shower room to wash your hands. But this can be overcome. Everything else is good, the name is a bit strange from the Chinese perspective, but it doesn't matter.

TTimoshaHotel is neat the train station. However, the Escalator to the platform of the hotel is not working . We need to find a elevator from the car park to enter the hotel. There's carrefour express and bus station to the city center right next to the train station.
Really thankful for the early checkin cuz we arrived a bit earlier. The reception is polite and helpful. The room is clean and neat. Spacious for 3 ppl.
However, they charge me extra money €100sth after I check out. Trip.com staff is also helpful for asking the hotel for refund. Otherwise, the experience there was satisfying.

GGuest UserMy bunkbed didn’t have a curtain so I asked to change at reception. Unfortunately, I was changed to a bunkbed next to the door which was unnecessarily loud. On my last night there there was also a constant beeping that everyone complained about.
It’s a clean hostel with a pub, which was pretty cool. My room was in a building separate to the pub. The kitchen was great with a cute outside area to eat.
It’s a bit of a walk to the train station but there are buses.

GGuest UserLocation a 10-minute walk from the city. You can park in a garage about a 4-minute walk away. The staff is very friendly. Upon arrival, there was a box of chocolates, and upon departure, we received cookies. The room could have been cleaner; there were still hairs in the bathtub. Breakfast was fine but nothing special.

GGuest UserIt's the third hotel on this trip, but it was the best I've ever had. It is a 10-minute walk from Bruges Station and you can reach the city center in a few minutes.
There are about 3 minutes to the nearest supermarket, and there are two supermarkets, and you can go within 10 minutes.
The surroundings of the hotel were quiet and there was no noise and I was able to sleep comfortably.
