Amazing
AAng_ieStaying at Clarion Hotel The Pier in Sweden turned out to be one of those experiences where you feel at ease almost immediately. Thereâs a certain warmth to the place that makes it stand out from the moment you walk through the doors.
Friendly Staff Who Truly Welcome You
What I noticed right away was how genuinely friendly the staff were. Every time we entered or walked past the front desk, we were greeted with a smile or a kind word. Itâs such a simple gesture, but it created this feeling of being looked after, as if we were more than just passing guests.
A Location That Balances Quiet and Convenience
The hotelâs setting struck the perfect balanceâpeaceful and quiet, yet still so easy to get into the city center. It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the cityâs energy just a short ride away.
Beautiful Skyline and Water Views
From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I wonât forget.
A Studio Room That Feels Like Home
Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I canât stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped.
A Breakfast with Heart
Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day.
Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasnât just the location or the facilitiesâit was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal.
MMelvin_NgI was staying on 8-9 september for 1 night. Facilities in the hotel are surprisingly good and the sauna was perfect. Room are nice and tidy. Toilets are a bit small but its clean and have everything you need. The breakfast have a wide range of selections with hot and cold plates. Specially appreciate Susanne, Iren & Andita showing us useful informations in the area by patiently answering our questions and showing exceptional Standard of customer service. Will be staying in the same hotel if I'm travelling to Sweden again.
AAKR87Really nice hotel in a great and convenient location, spacious room. However booked for 4 people, received confirmation from trip that the booking was made for 2 adults 2 children upon check in only 2 adults and 1 child on the hotel booking. Hotel receptionist argued no solution offered, we had to put 2 single beds together so could be used by 3 people.
Lobby bathroom not able to be accessed after checkout as its keycard controlled- be careful if you wait a while for onward travel etc.
AArlyA great hotel, big and nice great rooms. The only thing I wasn't really happy with was the dining room. There were far too many people and too crowded for little space, but there was everything on the breakfast table. ïżŒ
SScullyThe staff working on the weekend were super nice and helpful, and Iâve stayed here many, many times, always so nice & such a lovely boutique place to stay with many awesome things to like. On the day I checked out oh my god, where did this girl suddenly come from? Little wanna be Swedish police officer banging on my door trying to get in. Ok i fell asleep after breakfast? So what. Even after i checked out & and was just having a coffee in the lobby, she came again in my face demanding to know if i had checked out? She was just rude, unprofessional, behavior was unbelievable. Really ruined my experience at the nice hotel Pigalle. Actually, I donât accept people thinking they are better than everyone else & they think that they can just talk to people like they are a piece of crap. Therefore, sadly, I donât think I will ever stay here ever again.. Sorry but..
GGuest UserExtremely well located in the centre of Gothenburg, directly opposite the central railway station, and the departure point of the airport bus. Nice restaurant and bar. Size of the room average but great to relax on the soft comfortable bed. Breakfast was very welcome and a good selection of Scandinavian offerings. Just nearby to a shopping mall so OK for essentials / fast food.
It is also within a short distance (5 mins walk) of the Botanical Gardens which had a colourful and varied array of horticulture - great for a walk and a bit of exercise after your flight.
PPPLVNNThe hotel is very nice, clean and sanitary. The restaurant is very crowded with people, many people eat there, the surrounding environment is very good and the service is very considerate.
GGuest UserLoved the location of this hotel as well as the downstairs communal areas. Also the size of the room was great.
Unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and cheap so I barely slept a wink in my 3 nights there. I asked for an extra pillow as you only get one and that still didnât help.
Staff were lovely when I did speak to them, but you can easily go by your whole stay without talking to someone which is a shame as you donât get told any information.
There was also no fridge or safe in the rooms which I thought was pretty standard.
Food at the breakfast buffet was really good though. Great options for vegans/gluten free too.
GGuest UserThe first stop of this business trip was Gothenburg Airport, where the bus came directly. The last stop was next to it, and it took only six or seven minutes to walk to Gothenburg Central Station. The hotel entrance was under renovation, and the facilities were OK. The room was average size, which was the regular European style. You needed to bring your own disposable toothbrush and slippers. The breakfast was OK. I arrived early, communicated with the front desk, and arranged a room.
AAnonymous UserBreakfast: buffet style, good. Wish there were more kinds of fruit available.
Room: size is ok for 1 person, the bed is quite big. Hair dryer, hangers provided. No kettles can be borrowed and you can only get hot water at the front desk.
Staff: i arrived a bit early but the staff let me check in early. nice and helpful
Others: thereâs a gym, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi too. Close to a bus stop.
