"Very comfortable, and conveniently located close to the train station and the airport shuttle. There's a supermarket right across the street, and it's next to the Lipstick Building and the pier. The room was very modern; after staying in so many hotels in Europe, this is the first time I've experienced such a modern and smart-style hotel! The front desk staff were friendly, but the self-check-in was a bit tricky to operate. It would be even better if there was free drinking water available in the lobby."

"The hotel reception and people are very good Cheerful and friendly The hotel location is good and the breakfast is great But the cleaning condition is different every day Some days they don't make the bed and some days they don't change the cup I think that needs to be fixed"

"The hotel was super safe, the location was absolutely perfect. I went here for a short three day vacation. The service and stuff were absolutely fantastic. Everything was smooth, everything was run using high-tech systems. The lobby was beautiful and there was plenty of amenities available. The only negatives that I would recommend for them to improve on is first of all to have a system or telephone in the room so that we can call the reception. The other thing is that rooms that are king size bed are actually two single beds that are put together which can be quite annoying sometimes. Other than that, honestly, I can’t complain much. I would definitely come back here again. I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Sweden for a few days for business or pleasure"

"The hotel’s location is excellent — just a short walk from the central station, which made getting around very convenient. However, I was disappointed by a few aspects of the stay. The hotel provides grey towels, which I found unappealing; white towels generally give a better sense of cleanliness. Breakfast was adequate, though some of the fruit offered was of poor quality. I also had concerns about the room’s cleanliness. After our first night, it didn’t seem like the room had been thoroughly cleaned — the drinking glasses we had used weren’t replaced, and some visible stains we had accidentally made were not wiped down. Additionally, the iron in the room tripped the power on both occasions we tried to use it, which was quite frustrating. The refrigerator in our room wasn’t working properly, so the drinks we stored inside remained warm. I also found the 11:00 a.m. checkout time to be inconvenient, as a later checkout would have allowed for a more relaxed departure."

"Very good location walking distance to all tourist places & shopping. Room comfortable & spaces. Only 2 disadvantage which first is parking need to park across the road if with big luggage a bit trouble, and secondly breakfast not much choice & seem doesn't changed the menu day by day"

"Overall, this hotel was a superb experience. We arrived around 18.00 in the evening after a long drive. Unfortunately some technical error in their system required us to wait in the lobby for about 30min, but we were swiftly compensated in the form of free parking and a complimentary prosecco in the room. The room itself was beautiful. Amazing view, very comfortable bed and TV placement, a very long bathtub. The only mild annoyance was that the bathroom light was finicky to turn on and adjust. The spa is a must-experience, especially after a long drive from one side of Sweden to the other. It was excellent; nothing to complain about. The best thing about Upper House however, is the breakfast. I have never had a better breakfast experience anywhere else in the world. I would gladly stay again just to eat their breakfast menu. Very excellent stay, great service and great food. A solid 9.5/10 experience."

"The hotel was exceptionally clean and organized. They have several great amenities like a sauna & luggage storage for the day (even after you check out). Not far from anything and in a great location. The staff all speak great English and were incredibly friendly! Breakfast was traditionally Swedish with lots to choose from and easy for anyone to find something enjoyable."

"comfortable hostel to stay in, shared toilets (gender is not differentiated) are clean and well maintained. linens are provided and room/quilt was sufficiently warm during my stay in winter. downside is it’s quite a walk from the nearest tram stop and that there are no lifts so be prepared to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. overall accommodation was cosy and i’ll come back! kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, electric stove, cutleries and plates etc."

Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal."
