Great
GGuest UserExcellent hotel (guesthouse) with 4 rooms. Everything is very comfortable, convenient, and clean. Everything is for the guests. There is coffee, a bike rental, and parking nearby. The shower is good, with hot water. All toiletries are provided. The hosts are great. Nothing pretentious, but very strong and tasteful.
GGuest UserIt was busy season so were not able to get into our usual favourite hotel.
This hotel however, was well priced, reasonable location. Breakfast was fine - not special, not bad.
We rented bicycles for 3 hours - this were instruments of torture but enabled us to ride down to the famous bridge and surrounding area.
To conclude, overall fine, I would not be unhappy to stay there again.
GGuest UserI have travelled extensively throughout Thailand over several years and I have to say that my week-long stay at this hotel was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had anywhere! The room was large, clean, and comfortable (even the bed was neither too hard nor too soft), the staff were professional, polite, and helpful (and always smiling!), the hotel is conveniently located in the city (just down the street from the Kwai Bridge, with several good restaurants and a 7-11 nearby), and the ala carte breakfast was superb (especially the delicious French toas and the pancakes!). It is obvious that someone went to great lengths to ensure a great experience for their guests. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!
GGuest UserVery clean accommodation, shoes off in the building as a policy. The room was rather small although fully functional with a narrow balcony for smoking. The bathroom was tiny with the shower and toilet combined and a small wash basin that the door hit against on the way in. There’s no shelving either to place a toiletry bag etc. Coffee and biscuits, light snacks, are available as a substitute breakfast .
There’s room out front for three cars to park and you have 24 hour access with the key fob. The lady running the place is a delightful person, always willing to help and very friendly. The location is perfect for nightlife. I’d stay again.
CCalvinWonderful time in the hotel
The restaurant was great and we look forward to spend our dinner every evenings we stayed
Amazing atmosphere and we didn’t expect to have a resort vibe like this at this price range.
I would say a phone direct to the reception would be great
GGuest UserI recently stayed at a beautiful hotel right on the River Kwai and it was truly wonderful! 😀 The location offered such a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Everything I could possibly need for a relaxing getaway was readily available. It felt like the perfect escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a tranquil and enjoyable vacation experience. #RiverKwai #Thailand #Travel #Getaway #Relaxation
TTalushaThe hotel is located on the city's main street, close to massage shops, food stalls, bars, and restaurants. It's also on a quiet side street, so the room is quiet. The Bridge Kwai is a couple of kilometers away. Bicycles are available for rent on the main street for 80 baht per day. There are private cabanas around the pool and cabanas facing the restaurant. There's also a separate three-story building. We stayed on the third floor, which was ideal because the hotel bar and pool were a bit noisy in the evenings. Three rooms on this floor have a private veranda, and each room has chairs and a table outside the door, so you can sit and watch the sunset. Towels and two bottles of water are left on the table daily.
The room is spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. Our door lock (a standard one for between rooms) didn't work, but they gave us a padlock, which was even better. There's air conditioning, but no kettle (we bring our own). The bathroom has a wall-mounted shower, a sink with a mirror, and a toilet. Large bottles of soap and shampoo are provided. Breakfast vouchers are provided upon check-in, and it's served from 7 a.m. onwards. Breakfast offers a choice of dishes from the menu, including an omelet, traditional rice and meatball soup, toast with fried eggs, muesli with fruit, and other options, plus juice/coffee/tea and sliced fruit.
BBetty shanIt used to be a very good hydrophilic hotel, right by the river, at a reasonable price. The first time I lived was 9 years ago, and it was very quiet at night. But this time I checked in, the music of the merchants across the river was huge. It didn't stop at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. It came again at 6 o'clock in the morning. It was fried and I couldn't sleep at all. Reflected with the front desk, but the hotel couldn't help it.
EEe HuangBreakfast had a good spread of continental and Asian options. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained. Towels and sheets look new and clean. The foaming hand and body wash provided was not suitable for washing long hair so I had to buy shampoo from the 7eleven store nearby. Area where the hotel is situated is quiet but well-lit. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations and we will be back the next time we visit Kanchanaburi.
LLinaVery nice hotel. We rented a room on a raft. I really enjoyed swimming and jumping off the mattress! Free kayaks provided. The walls are thin, so you can hear all the conversations of the neighbors, but it's not scary) I was cold at night, so they provided an extra blanket. Breakfast is delicious, not a very big choice, but quite enough. Nice hosts! I recommend
