"Although the hotel is a bit old, the common areas still have a great resort feel. However, the rooms were quite damp overall. My passport and book wrinkled after just one day in the room. The duvet was also damp for the first two nights, so I assumed it was just how it was, but surprisingly, I got a dry duvet on the third night. The restaurant prices were fair, but the staff seemed a bit disorganized. It wasn't until the fourth day, just before leaving, that I discovered the hotel actually offers many activities, including baby turtle releases. The hotel is right next to the pier, so you can take a boat directly to Bali, though the ride was incredibly bumpy – so much so that I questioned my life choices (and it was a sunny day with only a 4-knot wind!)."

Clean and beautiful place. friendly staff. good location with the best sunset in town. we were staying in room 214 and the room is superb. cannot get enough with outdoor shower. room is spacious and clean. variety of foods to order. if can add gym would be great for a gym freak like me. other than that I would repeat my stay."

Kalandara Resort Lombok

"Excellent service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a complimentary buggy service to the beach.  The room view was spectacular, overlooking the sea horizon. Our second trip to Kalandara, definitely no regrets at all. Airport transfers were prompt and friendly, shout out to Emmy and Ahyar. Also to Wulan who acknowledged that we were a returning guests and Wulan Mei and Wina who greeted and served the breakfast with a smile. Will definitely coming back again."

"The resort itself is beautiful. If you want to dive do NOT go there! The waiters are friendly but slow. You can book a trip to the Gilis, to Water falls or other things on Lombok. If you want to dive and snorkel go to the Gilis or Bali. Mass tourism has not arrived on Lombok, for better or worse. ;-)"

I highly recommend Villa Umbrella for a luxurious and serene getaway! And oh yes the restaurant Zanzibar was just too good..recommend the roast chicken and their cocktail mai tai!"
