Great
VVolkan Niyazi KarakoçDuring my trip to Cannes, choosing to stay at an iconic hotel like the Majestic Barrière was undoubtedly the best decision. Due to noise issues in the room I initially booked online, the understanding and experienced hotel staff promptly upgraded me to a fantastic Deluxe City View room. The presentations, gifts, and overall arrangement in the room were simply outstanding. I would also like to thank the concierge team for making reservations at all the restaurants and beach clubs.

Great
SSujjeThe hotel is in a fantastic location. The Cannes shopping arcade and the promenade are just a few minutes away. There are two grocery stores just across the street, and the hotel has its own underground parking garage. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a very relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and well-maintained. I've seen newer buildings in worse condition! 😄 All in all, the perfect location for a trip to the Côte d'Azur, especially if you're traveling without a car or leaving your car parked during your stay. Thanks again to the team at Hotel Abrial for the wonderful time. 😊
GGuest UserGreat little hotel. Really clean. Easy to find. It is up a hill so a bit of a trek with luggage but only around 5-10 mins to town depending on where you’re going (downhill). Super friendly staff with excellent English. The only negative was that we were on the ground floor so there’s a bit of noise with people coming in and out and the breakfast being prepped and served, but that didn’t bother us as we were up and out early both mornings.
GGuest UserAll the other staff were very kind, and the room was very well maintained, so thanks to you, I had a very comfortable stay in Cannes. However, I had one unpleasant experience. The female staff member in charge of breakfast was extremely rude.
That morning, I had purchased some bread and, since it was quite large, I wanted to ask if it could be shared with other guests having breakfast. (It was freshly bought that morning, completely new.) However, she seemed to misunderstand and thought I was asking if I could eat the bread on the terrace. Without listening to me at all, she simply said “No!”
I understand that she might not have wanted it or could have refused to share, and I also understand that outside food might be a sensitive issue. But her reaction was far too rude. When I tried to explain (using a translator) that I wasn’t trying to eat it myself, but only wanted to offer it to others, she didn’t listen and asked me to leave the terrace. It was so unreasonable, and this incident negatively affected my mood for the rest of the trip. Even when I returned to the hotel, she ignored me.
I just want to clarify that my frustration wasn’t because my offer of the bread was refused. Even if she had simply said, “Sorry, we have plenty of bread, it’s okay,” I would not have felt upset at all. Of course, I would have respected that.
I feel it’s unreasonable that guests should have to be cautious of this staff member’s attitude. If it weren’t for her, the hotel experience would have been excellent.
GGuest UserThe apartment was very well located near the town centre. The staff were lovely - good communication before we arrived and looked after us so well while we were there - checked us in early and looked after our bags after checkout on the final day before our evening trip back to the airport.
The accommodation was spacious - would easily have slept 4 if we'd used the sofa bed. Actually we hardly used the sitting room.
Everything was very clean and tidy - daily room service. The coffee machine in the kitchen was a bonus.
Plenty of cups and glasses - but no cutlery or plates, so although the kitchen area was set up for cooking, making a meal wouldn't have been easy. As we were only there for the weekend it wasn't an issue for us.
Reception is not 24 hours though it looked simple enough to get instructions for key safe etc for late arrivals. Very good security around access to the building.
It was expensive, but it was the film festival, so actually we were grateful to find any accommodation with vacancy for a late booking. Would definitely go back.
MMilan 018We stayed there 5 nights, took deluxe room with balcony which is really big and comfortable Good location just 300m from public beach.
Only problem was because they don't accept cash for 200€ deposit. Just can do that by card so two weeks already passed and we didn't get back deposit.. Breakfast is expensive for what they offer so we decided to have it outside..
Except that all other things are for recommendation
GGuest UserFirst of all, up to 5 stars of the hotel lacked a convenient location of the roses on the sides of the bed (one was at the bed and the other near the entrance).
The rest of the hotel is good. It was warm in the room, the air conditioner worked constantly for heating. The room was clean as in the photo on the Internet.
The bathroom was new, with fresh repair. We were provided with additional hygiene.
There is a staircase and an elevator in the hotel. To get to the rooms you have to walk through the breakfast room and climb up the other staircase above.
The concierge usually sits in the breakfast room, but as a crowd to someone comes - immediately approaches the entrance. Very polite all, we were able to leave the bags to the receptacle after the eviction. When entering the boarding house, they asked for a document - they took the driver's license instead of a passport without problems.
I asked for a room with the balcony, but it wasn 't as we were told, but we got the French balcony - beautiful !!!
The view was on the city, good.
HHappylfgI had a truly wonderful experience — everything from the moment I arrived to the moment I left exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a warm smile, which made the entire stay feel even more welcoming. The location itself was ideal — conveniently situated close to everything I needed, whether it was restaurants, shops, or public transportation. It offered both comfort and convenience, making it a perfect choice for anyone visiting the area. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and hassle-free stay!
SSivaa SaanthWonderful stay, the place is right next to the beach. Paid 60 Euros odd for the stay, after booking only 2 hrs before arrival, could not have asked for better ones. I and my wife are very happy with the assistance from the staff as well, they spoke in English and helped in checking in without anyone being there, as we arrived late. The building is secure and surrounded by restaurants, cafes and pubs. The room was quite compact but also comfortable, and has good ventilation, fresh air and access to natural lights, given the locality and budget, nothing more you can expect. Great for couples.
