"The hotel has a good location. There are many antiques, paintings and so on inside.
Unfortunately there were cockroaches in my room. When I saw a cockroach for the first time, I thought it was an accident. But when the next day I saw a cockroach in the same place and another one above the bed, I asked to change the room. The owner began to explain to me where cockroaches come from (everyone already knows this). And reluctantly they changed my number. Luckily, I didn’t see any cockroaches in the second room."

GGuest UserThe guesthouse was in a great location, within walking distance of attractions like the Elephant Fountain and University Square. Since it's a family-run guesthouse, there was no 24-hour front desk. The owner sent a message detailing how to use a keypad to open the building entrance, and then use another key to retrieve your room key – which key opens the main entrance and which opens your room. The breakfast selection was plentiful. On our last day, we had to get up early to catch a flight, so the owner gave us a voucher for a nearby coffee shop, where we ate breakfast. Because it was the off-season, the owner arranged the best room for us. The room had air conditioning, so it wasn't cold even in winter.

GGuest UserThe house and its location was great. Walking distance to major hubs which made it convenient to go to other cities. Our host Igor was a great personality. During our 6 nights of stay he was very responsive to all our needs.
All his suggestion of restaurants and places were top notch.
We look forward to revisiting B&B Marcello’s casa to complete our Sicily tour.

- It offers luggage storage until any time we need which is very nice!
- The location is good too. It is just a 10-min walk to the station and also the airport bus.
- The interior design is amazing and it has a very beautiful ceiling.
- It also provides coffee machine which is lovely for us as a coffee lover!
- The building also has a lift if you have heavy luggage (like me).

SSaumitra_25La Cot is an absolutely amazing place to stay in Catania. It’s cozy, homely, peaceful, and unique. Ninni is the most wonderful host, we were so happy to meet him and stay in his hospitality. We will definitely stay there again if we go to Catania!

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

GgoultzxVery basic accommodation we stayed for one night after visiting Etna. Location wise it's about 10-15 mins walk from the main shopping area. Shared bathroom between 4 rooms. Lacking in plug sockets and sound proofing but other than that the host was lovely

Mmeowsha_meowkovaQuite a nice budget place to stay in Katania. I liked everything, this renovated old building, is 10 minutes walk from Duomo Square, 20 minutes from the railway station. There are many interesting locations nearby: churches, museums, amphitheater. Since the building is old, there is no elevator here, and there is no better sound insulation, take into account if it is important to you. Staff is beautiful, very friendly. The room is served with breakfast, the cruisans bake the workers themselves in the morning. I think this is a great price/quality ratio! If any questions arise, the staff are quick to answer whatsapp.

High ceilings, ample natural light, and comfortable furnishings made the stay enjoyable. The room was well-equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a small workspace. Overall, a comfortable and updated interior within a historic building.
Guests who value interior comfort and don’t mind an older façade.

YY K MaGood B&B, clean and well managed. Location a bit off the city center, need to walk around 20 minutes to the fish market.
Don't forget to add on breakfast, the quality is so good.
