GGranster72A beautifully renovated hotel in the old style perfectly located in the central old town of Catania.
Star all spoke English beautifully the room was a upstairs downstairs loft very comfortable with a magnificent ensuite.
Great views great location fantastic rooftop restaurant with bar both indoor an outdoor seating, which was terrific becauseit was quite chilly for a couple of nights I stayed there

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

EEvelyn KowThe building’s exterior is rustic and shows its age, but the room inside was clean, bright, and pleasantly modern. High ceilings, ample natural light, and comfortable furnishings made the stay enjoyable. The room was well-equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and a small workspace. Overall, a comfortable and updated interior within a historic building.
Guests who value interior comfort and don’t mind an older façade.

Ssalvalasilvia The room isn’t huge but it makes do.
But I cannot understand why there’s never a plug beside the bed. People need to charge their phones.
The bathroom is ok but there is nothing to place the toiletries in the shower, so you’re forced to either bend over in a very small space either open the shower multiple times and make a mess.
The main issue is the breakfast. It’s the land of desolation and it’s really a pity.
The croissants and the brioches are good, but regardless of the time of your arrival it’s never refurnished.
No marmalades, 3 butters, 2 Nutellas, only one typeof cereal, no milk.
Everything is missing, it seems raided.
Why pay for an hotel breakfast if there’s less food that at home or any café?
It could happen once, not constantly.

AAnonymous UserClean and safe hotel, spacious room with good spread of breakfast. Walking distance to Etnea (shopping belt), with several restaurants in vicinity. Enjoyed our stay there. Appreciate the staff for helping to arrange a room for us where we do not have to change room as we join our tour group that started with a night stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserA place near the bus station to taormina and siracusa. It's one minute away to take Alibus to airport which cost EUR4. A good location just 15-20 minutes walk to the catania Centrale and the fish market there.
