The dining room seats 10 people comfortably. The living room is very spacious with floor to ceiling windows, filled with sunlight and double fire places on each end. Elegantly furnished with French crystal chandelier, brocade sofa and a grand piano. Half bathroom is next to the living room. On second floor, there are 3 bedrooms (with 2 king size beds and a queen size bed) and 3 full bathrooms. Additional 2 bedrooms (with full size bed and 2 twin beds) are on the third floor.The property surroundings the house is 12 acres of lawn and mature trees. There are 5 flower gardens around the main house and the barn. Behind the house, there is restored stone ruin of an outdoor kitchen that can be used for outdoor BBQ. Large fire pit next to the vegetable garden for gathering in the evenings. Private hiking trails along the perimeter of the property.Across the road on Fishkill Creek riverfront, there is 1.3 acres of meadow with hiking trails. Step outside to an outdoor shower and patio where you can sit and listen to the waterfall cascading just a few feet away.The queen bed in the bedroom accomodates 2 people. We allow 2 extra guests (4 total) who can set the air mattress up in the the living room upstairs. No parties or loud noise allowed.Hike the trails, swim in the pond or dunk in the stream that runs through the property, meditate, work out, contemplate life on the dock. Great place also to stargaze at night!The property sits across from a nature preserve, on a tiny, secluded road, so you are surrounded by trees and wildlife, yet minutes from many quaint towns, restaurants and shops. We are also near farms, hikes, bike trails, wineries, distilleries, historical sites and several leading performing arts centers (Fisher Center at Bard, Vassar, Kaatsbaan) and the Omega Institute.The Wifi is excellent (fiber optic network) and we have a Generator in case of a power outage.Guests have full access to and privacy in the Modern Barn and access to the pond, dock and 18 acres of trails on the property. Access to the front yard is restricted to people in our farmhouse which sits on the property (if anyone is in the farmhouse).
