We are located in the heart of Gilpin County at 9,000 ft in elevation, close to beautiful hikes, restaurants, casinos, breweries, and so much more!The spaceOur private mountain getaway is super cozy and very spacious for small groups. The space has two queen beds and two full baths suitable for families, couples, travelers, and friends. Guests have the entire house and property to themselves.Living area - The living space is full of natural light and is freshly refurnished. There is plenty of comfortable seating for you and your family to enjoy. The two large windows overlook the front porch and the beautiful mountain views of Golden Gate State Park across the street. We have wifi, a bluetooth speaker, and a smart TV with Netflix, Disney +, Prime, and HBO included. Being up in the mountains cell service can be a bit spotty. We do have a Verizon cell booster and both T-Mobile and At&t have spotty reception. Wifi calling works great!Bedrooms - The two bedrooms with queen beds are suitable for a traveler on the go or an extended stay. Each room offers comfortable bedding, a white noise machine, a steamer, plenty of hangers, large closet, a makeup mirror, and dresser for you to stay organized while being away from home.Kitchen and Dining - Our large kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. We have a dining space off of the living room and a few bar stools in the kitchen that makes the perfect breakfast spot.Bathrooms - there are two full bathrooms stocked with high quality shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of comfy towels.We have a beautiful 3 season sunroom off of the master bedroom with big windows that overlook the back deck and our zen water fountain that runs until late fall. The sunroom is perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon tea. On a nice day, which it usually is, you can open the windows and embrace the fresh mountain air while listening to the fountain outside. The back deck offers lots of seating, a grill for cook outs, and two hammocks for you and your friends to enjoy. Our entire back yard is completely fenced in and private. We also have a horse shoe pit located in the front yard!One of our favorite parts of our space is the hot tub! Its super private and will be ready for you to enjoy when you arrive. The tub is not the newest feature on the property but it's clean, comfortable, and a great way to relax after a long day of enjoying the area! We will have a few robes located in the laundry room along with hot tub towels. Our guest are also more than welcome to use the washer and dryer during your stay.Our gravel driveway may be considered steep by some but it does not require a 4x4 vehicle and there are plenty of parking spaces available.As secluded as we are, we are within walking distance to Taggert's convenience & gas located across the street, but not in view from the property. If you're feeling a little adventurous the Underground Liquor Store is also a short quarter mile walk.Winter at 9,000 ft can start as early as September but doesn't fully set in until November. In the winter months you can expect a snow packed, plowed driveway, two sets of snow shoes, and a hot tub ready for you to enjoy.Guest accessOur gravel driveway may be considered steep by some but it does not require a 4x4 vehicle and there are plenty of parking spaces available.Other things to noteOur home is located at 9,000 ft in elevation and is usually about 10-15 degrees cooler than the Denver area. The snowy season can start as early as September but usually doesn't go into full swing until November& December. That being said, Colorado has 300 days of blue skies and sun shine, so any time of the year is beautiful up here in the mountains! We're happy to host extended stays! We try to keep their homes undisturbed and live together in harmony.OUTDOORSLake is within 3 min walking distance from the home. The lake is 12 feet deep in a middle and is stocked with rainbow trout for catch and release fishing. Two (2) fish rods will be provided for you. Paddle boards, kayaks and other non-motor watercraft are allowed in a lake. Property land and meadows around the lake are great place for snowshoeing. Four (4) pairs - two adult and two kid size - snowshoes and two (2) round snow saucer sleds provided at the house for your use.Golden Gate Canyon State Park and Panorama Point is 5 min from home.Gilpin County Recreation Center with 2 pools, kids favorite water slide, and workout facilities is 9 min away. There is a laundry area just off of the kitchen with provided detergent, and a half bath for convenience.Finally, the main floor hosts our bedroom suite. In the suite, you will find ample room to lounge on the large, king-sized memory foam bed in front of the tv (Peacock provided) as you relax after a wonderful day in the mountains. The Jack and Jill bathroom has ample room for your necessities. Do you prefer a shower or a bath? This room provides you with a large walk in shower and a nice deep tub to enjoy! Toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels and wash clothes, as well as a hair dryer are all provided to make your stay more convenient!On the second floor, you will find two additional bedrooms. Each room contains one queen memory foam bed, and a closet with sliding mirror doors. There is one shared bathroom with a shower/tub combo, and the basic bathroom necessities are provided.On the basement level, there is garage entry access into the house. On this level you with find a sitting area with a big screen tv (Peacock is provided). The sofa may be pulled out into a double sized bed, perfect for children and teens! Sheets are provided for the sofa bed inside it's futon.You will also find a half kitchen, complete with a refrigerator and sink. There is one bedroom with a queen sized memory foam bed, a walk in closet, and a bathroom with a large walk in shower. Bathroom essentials are provided.Once you have settled in, take a step through the sliding glass doors of the main floor living area onto the large deck and admire the beauty of the Rocky Mountains! From this lookout point, you may be lucky enough to watch moose and elk as they graze in the field adjacent to the home! An amazing feature to watch as you relax in the hot tub!Finally, for your enjoyment, we do offer a selection of dvds and books to borrow. Also, a small foosball table is available in the second floor common area, a full sized ping pong table is located in the garage, and two disc sleds can be borrowed for some winter fun! We ask that you enjoy these extras, but please do not take them with you when you check out. Other amenities provided: pack n play, high chair, pet bowls and pet drying towels. HOUSE RULES• PETS: Pets (dogs/cats) are allowed for an extra pet fee of $75 per stay and up to 2 pets only.
