Dunhuang Hotels with Breakfast

Out of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here. Their raisins are also highly recommended!

After a trip to Northern Xinjiang with friends, we stopped by Dunhuang. I booked the Dunhuang Zhongzhou International Hotel based on Ctrip's hotel rankings. After checking in, I just had to praise the hotel's service; it feels like every staff member embodies a service-oriented mindset. The hotel offers airport/station pick-up service, and after making a reservation a day in advance, a hotel staff member quickly got in touch. Upon arrival at the airport, I easily connected with the pick-up vehicle and arrived smoothly at the hotel. During check-in, a staff member thoughtfully offered us tea. On the evening of our check-in, we could enjoy a complimentary bowl of noodles at the hotel restaurant, which was perfect for dinner since we arrived quite late. Additionally, the hotel offers a free 'Late Night Porridge' supper from 9 PM to 11 PM for guests who need it. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of bottled water. Each room comes with a foot bath bucket, and the bathroom has two large rolls of toilet paper, unlike the smaller ones found in other hotels. Plus, the bathroom is equipped with a laundry basket and a convenient drying rack. The hotel also has a free laundry room, which is handy for travelers. We stayed for two days and happened to experience a sandstorm, so the washing machine came in very useful when we got back in the evening. The hotel's location is convenient; it's not far from nearby attractions and the night market, and taxis are easily accessible. The hotel's breakfast is also excellent. Guests can purchase breakfast vouchers for 30 RMB if needed, and staff members always greet you promptly when you arrive at the restaurant. During check-out, the front desk staff proactively helped push our luggage to the hotel entrance and waited until our taxi arrived and we got in before leaving. I've already recommended this hotel to friends and will definitely stay at Dunhuang Zhongzhou International Hotel again on my next visit to Dunhuang.

This guesthouse is a hidden gem! 1. The location is super convenient, right at the west gate of Mingsha Mountain, just a 1-minute walk away. It was perfect for playing in the sand and attending the concert. 2. The desert-themed decor and furnishings are incredibly photogenic, and the hotel facilities are brand new, including smart toilets. They even have cute little kittens around! ☺ 3. It has a starry sky theme, and the owner gives amazing stargazing classes. The rooftop terrace is perfect for stargazing, and the owner even has a professional telescope. It's fantastic! 4. The breakfast is homemade by the owner. While simple, it's clean, hygienic, and tastes great. 5. The best part is the owner's service. The whole family is incredibly nice and hospitable. They helped us with our luggage, answered all of my child's astronomy questions, provided airport transfers, and even recommended local itineraries. It's just wonderful!

Staying at the Shazhou Night Market Atour is my top choice when visiting Dunhuang. The location is absolutely perfect – step right out into the night market for food and exploration, and it's super convenient to grab a taxi to Mingsha Mountain or the Mogao Grottoes. The rooms come with humidifiers, which is ideal for the dry climate in the Northwest. The zero-pressure mattress is a dream; after a long day of walking, you'll fall asleep instantly. For breakfast, they offer local lamb noodle soup and liangpi (cold noodles), and there's even a complimentary late-night congee, which is a lovely touch. The self-service laundry with a dryer is a lifesaver for washing off all the dust and sand from your clothes. The service is incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

On a self-driving tour, I decided to stay here last minute and was pleasantly surprised! As soon as I turned into the parking lot, a staff member came over to guide me. They helped with my luggage every step of the way, and everyone I encountered greeted me proactively. The front desk gave me a sand protection neck gaiter and a voucher for congee in the evening. In the room, there were welcome snacks, yogurt, and plenty of water. They also provided free chargers and a humidifier. There's even a foot bath at the self-service laundry room, with disposable bath bags for hygiene. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, definitely 4-star+! So many varieties, better than many 4.7+ hotels in the city. They also offer shuttle service. I'll definitely be back!

This was my first stop in China and I’m so happy that I stayed in Dunhuang at Baibaili Hotel. I was looked after so well, the hospitality of the staff extended many times for several necessities and I’m touched by their hospitality. This will for a very long time, be my remarkable first impression of China, its people and their culture. The location is perfect if you want to stay a bit further out from town and enjoy the silence of being closer to the desert and the stunning design of the place. Beautiful and comfortable room, all the final touches refined every day and after 24 hrs of travelling; a generous fruit and snack plate that grounded me sweetly into Dunhuang upon arrival and farewelled me just after mid-autumn with a beautiful moon cake. There were a lot of people in the hotel lobby on the night of check-in. The front desk said that they had received a study tour group of 500 people, which delayed the check-in time. To express their apology, the front desk gave me some souvenirs and promised to take me to the night market in the evening. They were really sincere and I could see that the service awareness came from the heart and was not forced through training.

This stay was absolutely delightful! I was initially worried about the location being a bit out of the way, so I only booked one night. To my surprise, getting a taxi on the first night was super easy, so we extended our stay. While there aren't other guesthouses right around ours, we noticed a whole street full of guesthouses nearby, which seemed crowded and noisy. At night, lying in bed, you can hear the wind brushing against the walls, but it's not loud; it actually feels like being in harmony with nature. My husband and I also went gold panning – if you find gold coins, you can exchange them for prizes. We went enthusiastically, expecting a small sandbox like in a park, but it was a massive area! **Mingsha Mountain View Afternoon Tea:** The chilled apricot peel tea was delicious. **Fengmingsha Desert Restaurant - 30% off coupon for set meals:** After we landed, the butler collected our luggage and told us hotpot was ready, just waiting for us to freshen up and eat. The lamb wasn't ***** at all, and the dipping sauce was really tasty.

The boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

If life is a never-ending journey, then the camping trip at the Desert Star Hotel is undoubtedly a highlight of my journey. When I arrived at the campsite, the first thing that attracted me was the unique tent house. Unlike regular tents, the top of the tent is made of special transparent materials, like a huge viewing platform, which builds a bridge of communication between me and the vast galaxy. As night fell, I couldn't wait to lie on the soft bed, and when I looked up, the bright starry sky was presented to me without reservation. The stars twinkled, like gems inlaid on the black sky, beautiful as a dream. At that moment, the world seemed to press the mute button, and the impetuousness and noise in my heart were instantly soothed. The unique beauty of this quietness made me intoxicated. It is worth mentioning that the hotel staff is very considerate. After placing the order, the customer service guy at the front desk added our contact information and gave us some local travel tips, which saved us a lot of time. From the warm reception at check-in, to the careful guidance during the activities, to the warm greetings at night, every detail made people feel cared for. They not only provided me with thoughtful service, but also made me feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of the desert people. This desert camping trip not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the desert, but also experienced exciting and interesting activities, which became an eternal and beautiful memory in my heart.
