GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, just a 10-minute drive from the Mogao Grottoes and Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring. It's a peaceful spot, yet conveniently close to attractions, and you get stunning sand dune views right from your window. Getting to the city center and Shazhou Night Market also takes only 10 minutes, making getting around incredibly easy. The room was immaculately clean; every corner was spotless, and the entire space was dust-free. The bedding was soft and dry, and the bathroom was odor-free with a great wet/dry separation. Even if you're a clean freak, you'll feel completely at ease here; the attention to detail in cleanliness is exceptional, ensuring a super comfortable stay. This guesthouse is brand new and well-equipped with high-quality facilities, including air conditioning, a smart toilet, and premium bedding. The room is spacious and bright, with a huge floor-to-ceiling window offering amazing views. It also comes with complimentary toiletries and a refrigerator. The service is very thoughtful, making for an incredibly comfortable experience. I've already recommended it to my best friend, and I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

IIvan KandevWe are impressed with the hotel. Whatever we write, it will still be not enough, because it is a real jewel in every aspect. The room was luxuriously furnished and extremely cozy. Inside there is everything you need for a perfect and comfortable stay and rest. Even the smallest details, both functional and aesthetic, have been considered. There were snacks and water in the room as a compliment from the hotel. On the 5th floor there is a self-service laundry room and dryer available to guests. The cleanliness is perfect. The breakfast is rich and has both European and Asian offerings. The location is very convenient. There are many restaurants nearby, and the beautiful central part is also within walking distance. We are grateful to the entire staff for the excellent service and kind attitude. Every single person of the team does his job perfectly well. The only thing we regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy this wonderful place. We wish the entire team health and good luck. Always be so kind and keep this high level service.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is truly unique! Each room is named after one of the twelve zodiac signs, with designs that blend local flair and astrological elements. In the evenings, you can go stargazing, with options for an indoor lecture and actual observation from the rooftop. The instructor mentioned that summer is the best season for stargazing, and if you want to spot your own zodiac constellation, it's best to visit around two months before or after its designated month. They even gave us wishing bottles for our own zodiac signs, which we filled with sand from Mingsha Mountain the next day to take home! The host is incredibly warm and helpful; you can ask her about local tourism, car rentals, and more – she's very considerate. Breakfast is different every day, with a thoughtful and nutritious selection. There's also an adorable cat who loves to 'accompany' you during meals, often sitting on a chair. She gets so happy if you share half an egg yolk with her every morning! She also recently had three tiny, adorable kittens! The guesthouse features a classroom and a spacious, bright lobby, making it feel especially suitable for study tour groups. We initially planned to stay two nights but loved it so much we extended for another night. The village atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, and it's about a 15-minute taxi ride to Shazhou Night Market and around 20 minutes to the train station, so transportation is very convenient. Highly recommend for family trips and educational tours!

VValarie474The Trip.com listing name does not match the actual hotel name, which created confusion on arrival and with food delivery throughout the stay. The taxi dropped me at the building but the ground floor is a restaurant, with no clear hotel entrance. I messaged the hotel on WeChat asking for directions. They replied that someone would come out to meet me. I waited fifteen minutes with no one arriving and no further response, despite repeated follow-up messages, before they finally sent written directions, which is what I had asked for in the first place. The room did not match the listing photos. It was significantly smaller than advertised, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. The window did not close completely, letting in constant street noise from buses and traffic. The walls are extremely thin. Neighbor noise and door slamming were audible at all hours, and passing buses caused the room to vibrate. I had requested a quiet room. Front desk communication was inconsistent. Staff do not speak English, which WeChat is meant to bridge. When a food delivery was not loaded into the delivery robot, I messaged the front desk and waited fifteen minutes with no action. I went down and found the food sitting behind the reception counter while two staff members chatted nearby. Sustainability is not a consideration. Every item, including towels and the robe, is individually plastic-wrapped. Positives: Comfortable bed Strong, consistent hot water in the shower AC functioned well Generous in-room amenities (water, coffee, tea, slippers, scale), replenished daily Housekeeping staff were friendly and professional A 90-minute late checkout was granted without issue The room size, noise levels, and service gaps prevented this from being a comfortable stay.

Not only was it quiet, but the environment was also very good and very cultural. The preface to the Lanting Collection was carved on the wall of the lobby. I heard it was written by the boss. . The service was also very friendly. Check-in was quick, they answered all our questions and sent us to the room. The room is also very warm, the facilities are new and complete, and there is a humidifier. It is really good to have a humidifier in Northwest China. The bathtub also comes with a disposable bathtub cover, so you can take a bath with confidence. I came back very late from my trip to the Western Front. I asked for two extra pairs of slippers, which were delivered quickly. Good hotel, good service!

SSimona F.I loved the Courtyard B&B. The rural but very chic style. My room was generous, furnishing in the same traditional style. Clean throughout The reception area very attractive and provides nice secluded spaces for relaxing- working in my case) under Bamboo trees and mandala decorated glasses of the ceiling. Very peaceful. I very much appreciated the presence of a kittens with mum and a little doggie which I perceived like mascotte of the place. They were very well maintained and cared of. The stuff is very nice and helpful and we were able to understand each others in some way. I highly recommend this accomodation both for holiday and work.

GGuest UserThe environment here is lovely. When we visited, the area was surrounded by apricot blossoms, and from the rooftop, it looked like a beautiful sea of flowers in the desert. The bedding was comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet during our stay, so we slept wonderfully. The breakfast was also quite unique, featuring apricot juice and beef noodles. On our second morning, we had to leave very early, and the owner even prepared packed breakfast bags for each of us. The only downside is that the facilities could use some improvement, especially the hot water for showers, which was often unavailable.

GGuest UserThe boss was very enthusiastic. I contacted him one day in advance and waited for us at the station early the next morning. The accommodation was close to the East Gate. We said we were going to Crescent Lake and Mingsha Mountain. The boss took the initiative to drive us to the Middle Gate, saying that we could save 20 yuan on the shuttle bus fare. The next day, we signed up for a tour group to go out and play. The boss also sent us to the boarding point early in the morning. The boss was afraid that it would be inconvenient to go back after the Crescent Lake Music Festival, so he also came to pick us up, making our travel very convenient. The accommodation environment is also very good, and the steamed bun for breakfast is particularly large.

When I arrived at the campsite, the first thing that attracted me was the unique tent house. Unlike regular tents, the top of the tent is made of special transparent materials, like a huge viewing platform, which builds a bridge of communication between me and the vast galaxy. As night fell, I couldn't wait to lie on the soft bed, and when I looked up, the bright starry sky was presented to me without reservation. The stars twinkled, like gems inlaid on the black sky, beautiful as a dream. At that moment, the world seemed to press the mute button, and the impetuousness and noise in my heart were instantly soothed. The unique beauty of this quietness made me intoxicated. It is worth mentioning that the hotel staff is very considerate. After placing the order, the customer service guy at the front desk added our contact information and gave us some local travel tips, which saved us a lot of time. From the warm reception at check-in, to the careful guidance during the activities, to the warm greetings at night, every detail made people feel cared for. They not only provided me with thoughtful service, but also made me feel the simplicity and enthusiasm of the desert people. This desert camping trip not only allowed me to appreciate the magnificent scenery of the desert, but also experienced exciting and interesting activities, which became an eternal and beautiful memory in my heart.
