"Bringing my family to Dunhuang, 🏜️ it felt like a dream stepping into Dunhuang. We stayed in a desert RV, nestled in the golden sands, a dream of constant temperature. The room facilities were complete and comfortable, the bedding was cozy, and we had personalized butler service. Only guests are allowed inside, making it very quiet and spacious. We had a whole section of the desert to ourselves, enjoying the joy of having an entire golden sand sea – it's absolutely a stunning spot for photos. Life experience +1: Camping in the desert. It was an amazing experience! They offered complimentary ATV dune buggy rides, which were thrilling and novel. We could slide down the sand dunes for free, and the kids had a blast! Highly recommend!"

"I originally chose this place because it's within a 15-minute walk to the middle gate of Mingsha Mountain, and for just over 300 yuan a night, you can see the stars. It exceeded my expectations, so I had to write a proper review! P1-3: The room was very clean, with no unpleasant odors. The skylight for stargazing was as big as the bed, and sunlight streamed in when it was open! The TV was a Xiaomi, and the toilet and shower were all in great condition. I saw the Big Dipper from bed at night—absolutely amazing! P4: The guesthouse is family-run. At noon, I heard the owner's mother calling ”Lunch is ready!” Since I was traveling alone, the hospitable owner invited me to join them. So, we all squeezed together at the table, chatting and laughing, and the moment reminded me of many tranquil and beautiful movies. P5-7: Because it was before the May Day holiday, the guesthouse wasn't busy, and I was invited to try the food and have a barbecue at the Western restaurant near the entrance. The owner took me to the market to have freshly cut Aksai lamb! PS: The Western restaurant was delicious!! You can tell from the pictures! P8: After returning from Mingsha Mountain in the evening, seeing the room door was truly therapeutic! INFP understands! I highly recommend this guesthouse. Firstly, the accommodation is very comfortable, and secondly, it was a long-lost relaxing and warm experience for someone like me who's been working like a dog for so long!"

"Overall, I'm satisfied. The price isn't expensive, so it offers decent value for money. Facilities: The room itself is quite good, on par with your typical Mercure or Ji Hotel in a city. However, there's a disconnect with the public facilities like the laundry room, elevators, and restaurant, which are a bit subpar, more like a guesthouse. Environment: It's right next to the night market, so the location is excellent. There's also a shuttle bus across the street that goes to the Mogao Grottoes. Hygiene: There were some blind spots for cleanliness. On the day I checked in, there was still a positioning sticker from the previous guest's bathtub liner stuck to the tub. It's not a major issue, but it does show the level of hygiene. For around 200 yuan, it's a very good price. If it were peak season, they'd need to improve a bit more. I regret not taking photos of the interior, but the hotel's pictures are accurate and trustworthy; the actual room is exactly as shown."

"Facilities: Very unique! It's a distinctive place to stay near Mingsha Mountain. The lobby immediately gives you the feeling of an inn in the middle of the desert. Hygiene: Excellent, almost nothing to complain about. The toiletries, like the toothpaste, toothbrushes, and combs, were all very comfortable to use. Environment: The 'Star-Gazing Pavilion' on the fourth floor is a highlight; breakfast and afternoon coffee are served there. When there's no sandstorm, you get an unobstructed panoramic view of Mingsha Mountain. Service: Impeccable! I stayed in Dunhuang for four nights, three of which were at this resort, and I was extremely satisfied. The staff even greeted us with 'Welcome home' when they saw us again. Two Dunhuang camel plushies: Received. Two Dunhuang old-fashioned yogurts: Drank."

"The hotel I stayed at in Dunhuang was quite interesting, called Dunhuang Hotel, but it's actually just a small three-story hotel. **1. Rooms and Facilities:** I'd advise you to book a twin room, as they are very spacious. The single or queen rooms, on the other hand, are incredibly small, I'm not sure what the design idea was there. What's truly frustrating is the poor soundproofing; you can hear people jumping around upstairs, which is really annoying. **2. Price and Service:** Even during the off-season in Dunhuang, this hotel wasn't particularly cheap, but overall, it was acceptable. The service was also quite ordinary. I was shocked at check-in when, even at 3 PM, my room wasn't ready yet, which felt absurd. I initially wanted to switch rooms, but ended up not doing so. **3. Dining and Amenities:** The hotel doesn't offer complimentary breakfast. If you ask about it, they'll just tell you to pay extra. Of course, eating out in Dunhuang is also an option. **4. Complimentary Activities:** The hotel also offers a so-called ”Western Splendor Tour” or something similar. However, it's a group tour with over 50 people. How do these large bus tours make money, you ask? It's all through commission on ticket sales. So, overall, this hotel is quite average. The kickbacks are significant; for about 40 people, they can get around 1,000 RMB back, meaning 20-30 RMB per person. Because that tour route has so many scenes and attractions, it's all about earning commission. Therefore, I truly don't recommend this hotel. Maybe someone on Xiaohongshu recommended it, so I tried it, but it would have been better to just go for a more standardized option like an All Seasons or Hanting."

"The host was incredibly kind and patiently explained everything. They thoughtfully provided hats, sunglasses, and shoe covers, so I didn't need to bring my own. Every evening, they screened classic movies and had a great selection of books on various topics. They even had free postcards and envelopes. It was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to visit again!"

"This Dunhuang trip specially chose this desert tent camp, the overall stay experience is very satisfactory, completely exceeding expectations! Compared with the surrounding camps, the biggest advantage here is that there are few people and quiet, not crowded and noisy, and the immersive desert experience is full. The service is particularly intimate, the staff is gentle, the response is timely, and the car is also intimately assisted in docking and picking up vehicles and carrying luggage, saving worry and effort throughout the whole process, and there is no invisible consumption. The facilities are very complete, the interior of the tent is clean and tidy, the dust and moisture prevention effect is very good, it will not be full of sand, the basic living is fully equipped, and the accommodation comfort is far more than expected for desert camping. The environment experience is excellent, the camp has a wide view and unobstructed, you can overlook the entire vast sand sea during the day, the sunset scenery in the evening is beautiful, there is no light pollution at night, the sky is full of stars, clear galaxies, and the original picture of the photo is very direct. The park has its own set of desert play projects, the hotel special car pick-up point, one-stop play is particularly convenient, the comprehensive cost performance is at the top level in the Dunhuang desert camp, it is worth staying!"

"Choosing this guesthouse in Dunhuang was a real gem! The room was incredibly well-designed: the twin room was spacious with excellent natural light, and the bedding was so soft and comfortable. The biggest surprise was the washing area, which even had a washing machine and hairdryer, with clear instructions on how to do laundry – so convenient after playing in the sand! There was also a clothes drying area on the roof! The bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was spotless and unlike anything you'd find in a typical guesthouse. The service was incredibly thoughtful: the owner provided complimentary dates, raisins, and dried apricots – all Northwest specialties – which they offered as soon as we arrived. They even gave us dried fruit and watermelon after the evening performance! They also arranged lunch – a delicious home-style chicken dish made with a free-range chicken from a relative's farm! The courtyard atmosphere was amazing: the courtyard had outdoor tables and chairs and a gazebo. In the evening, it was so relaxing to sit here with friends, enjoying the breeze and drinks while gazing at the distant sky! At night, you could even stargaze here, truly immersing yourself in the desert atmosphere. Super convenient location: Not far from Mingsha Mountain and Shazhou Night Market, making travel incredibly easy and offering excellent value for money! Staying here in Dunhuang means you won't have to worry about food, lodging, or entertainment. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I come to Dunhuang, and I highly recommend it to all friends visiting Dunhuang!"
