Great atmosphere. The tent/bedding was much cleaner than expected despite being in the middle of desert . The heater works well. The owner took his time to take great care of us (noted that we didn’t go during high-season); very service-minded. He took us to/from airports and different tourist spots. Also provided us with many additional activities (not excluded in the initial program of camel riding) such as ATV riding, sand hill sliding, firework. The hotpot/grill dinner was delicious! We were thoughtfully upgraded to a better room because we were traveling with children, and the attention to detail was heartwarming. Breakfast was especially considerate of our little one, and the cleanliness was impeccable; the housekeeping staff were incredibly attentive. There were a lot of people in the hotel lobby on the night of check-in. The front desk said that they had received a study tour group of 500 people, which delayed the check-in time. To express their apology, the front desk gave me some souvenirs and promised to take me to the night market in the evening. They were really sincere and I could see that the service awareness came from the heart and was not forced through training.

Attracted by the promotional pictures, I thought it would be a great place for photos, and I wasn't disappointed. The overall design is quite appealing. Check-in is on the 6th floor, and you can't park directly in front. If you're driving, you have to use the parking lot behind the hotel. If you have a lot of luggage, you'll need to drag it from the roadside up to your room. The only real plus is that the night market is right across the street, just a quick walk over. Plus, there's a Starbucks and a mall downstairs, making food delivery and errands super convenient. They offer afternoon tea, and the fruit was delicious, but the pastries were pretty mediocre. I'd suggest the hotel offers some tastier snacks. Also, I expected it to be noisy being right on a main road, but I had a surprisingly quiet night's sleep. And you really can see Mingsha Mountain in the distance.

The hotel had already prepared local dried fruits and apricot tea. After a long journey, we were all parched, and my parents repeatedly praised the apricot tea. The dried fruits were generously portioned. These simple gifts showed how well the hotel understands the fatigue of travelers; their attention to detail was exceptional, and I was truly grateful. From the complimentary pick-up service and the thoughtful snacks in the room, to the convenient location and the new, well-equipped facilities, our entire experience was excellent. Traveling to Dunhuang with a friend on a road trip, this was by far our favorite city and B&B on the entire itinerary. Dunhuang felt incredibly peaceful and timeless, with well-planned cultural tourism development and a clean night market. The B&B is near Crescent Lake, very close to the scenic spot. Its design is quite distinctive, incorporating many elements from Dunhuang frescoes. The staff even explained the culture behind the frescoes and the exhibits in the guesthouse. There's also a swimming pool in the courtyard, though I didn't have a swimsuit so I didn't go for a dip. The rooftop offers fantastic views, perfect for enjoying afternoon tea or breakfast, which the butler will bring up for you. The ladies providing service were also very attentive and even shared some fresh local apricots with me. The hygiene details were excellent too; despite Dunhuang being quite dusty, the room was very clean. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This Glamping site, Mingsha Flaming Tent Camp, was the most delightful surprise during my trip to Dunhuang! It completely shattered my stereotype of shabby desert tents – it's absolutely amazing! The inside of the tent is clean, comfortable, and fully equipped, on par with a hotel room. Step outside and you're right in the desert, with expansive, unobstructed views and absolute privacy. It's an incredible spot for stargazing at night. The tents are scattered, providing a secluded feel, and there's no city pollution. The staff are attentive and thoughtful, and getting to the Mingsha Mountain scenic area is really convenient. If you're looking for a luxurious glamping experience in the desert, don't even think twice – book this place! It's the top choice for desert tent accommodation in Dunhuang!
