Xiahe Hotels with Breakfast

Tibetan-style homestay, the picture is taken with the original camera without filter. I like this style very much. It was designed by someone with a certain aesthetic taste. The service at the B&B was very enthusiastic. We arrived very late due to traffic jam on May Day. The girl from the B&B came out to pick us up. The yak beef hotpot was already prepared on the table, and she waited for us to finish eating. We were also given a free upgrade to a suite. The ******* breakfast the next morning was very unique. There was also a cat cafe in the B&B. The barley coffee was both beautiful and delicious. The cats were also very cute, with two very adorable kittens. The baby likes playing with the cat all the time. Thank you for tolerating this naughty child. Before leaving, she gave us handmade sachets and specifically told us to take good care of the children. Will definitely recommend to friends.

The owner was incredibly welcoming, proactively helping with luggage during check-in and check-out. It's a newly opened hotel, and you can see the owner's dedication in every detail. They even thoughtfully asked for our feedback on breakfast. The environment was clean; it would be even better if the rooms had projectors. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Labrang Monastery.

We absolutely loved our stay at 山古民宿 Shangu Homestay. The room was spacious, well presented in ******* style, and kept wonderfully warm with underfloor heating. The window-side lounge area was so cozy that we didn’t want to leave after three nights. Dinner was a highlight—the ******* hotpot was delicious, with fresh yak meat, vegetables, and noodles. Breakfast included fruit, ******* butter tea, and tsampa, giving us a real taste of local traditions. The host was incredibly welcoming and shared fascinating stories about ******* culture, nomadic life, and even how to make incense. During our stay, it snowed heavily, and our children had a fantastic time playing in the snow with the host. It was not just accommodation, but a cultural journey filled with warmth and unforgettable memories. It was really nice. The room was large and clean. There were grasslands all around the window. It was a great view to be able to enjoy from the bed. There were so many wildflowers on the grassland. The owner was very humorous and enthusiastic. And most importantly!! The food was delicious. Everything was tasty. Don't worry. The seven of us ate two meals together and ordered a lot. Not a single one was disappointing.

Wonderful place and wonderful family! The best accommodation we stayed in in China. Perfect position very close to the monastery. Very clean. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a snack of dried dates, bread, butter and tzampa, accompanied by some delicious tea. We stayed with this family for two days and they always offered us breakfast, the first day with house tea and fresh bread, the second day with coffee and fried bread. We spent the evening with them and they always kept offering us food and tea, always making us feel welcome. The house is wonderful, ******* style, wooden, always very clean. The beds are really comfortable, and they have a warming blanket. Inside our room we also had an electric heater to warm ourselves, which made the room really warm and cosy. The bathroom has hot water. You can fill your water bottles from the drinking water containers they have in front of each room. We always saw them cleaning the common areas. The owner, his wife and their three children welcomed us warmly like family. I will recommend them to all my friends. Really recommended!

We encountered a stormy night, and staying in the stargazing room was a fantastic experience! However, the shared bathroom we booked this time wasn't very convenient, so I would recommend booking a room with a private bathroom.

When booking the hotel, I specifically checked other guests' reviews. It still exceeded my expectations. The guesthouse isn't located on the main street, but in an alley, near the Wuzelinka ******* Restaurant. We arrived at the guesthouse on the evening of the 2nd, and it was snowing that night. The owners and their family came out to pick us up—they were incredibly friendly! The two-story rooms were both very clean. Our electric blanket broke, and they bought us a new one the next day. They also always let us know before we went out or when we returned. Breakfast was home-style, with millet porridge, white eggs, etc. On my second day, I caught a cold and experienced some altitude sickness, and the guesthouse owner gave us medicine! In short, I recommend this guesthouse to everyone visiting Xiahe! The only downside was that our trip was a bit rushed, so I didn't take many photos of the guesthouse.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! The camp is deep in the grasslands, with a clear, gurgling stream flowing nearby – every photo taken here is a masterpiece! They contact you in advance on the day of your arrival, and as soon as you pull up, staff members are there to greet you warmly. The young men and women even carry your luggage all the way to your room. For dinner, you can order hotpot from the camp; it's delicious and affordable, with a great variety of ingredients. The milk tea is unlimited and self-serve, rich and tasty – I absolutely loved it. I'll definitely be recommending this to my friends!

The dorm was very clean and equipped with a kettle, which was nice. I was the only guest during my stay. As mentioned in the other reviews, the dorm is located in the basement and you have to walk a bit to reach the toilet. The „shower“ is located across the front desk. It’s a small room where the hotel is storing their cleaning equipment, so showering there is a quite dirty and unpleasant experience. As there are so many dorms in the basement (I would guess 50+ beds), I wonder how they would handle the situation if the hotel is fully booked. Overall I would recommend staying there for one night, if you are not picky.

My stay at the Norbesor Hotel in Xiahe truly exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely fantastic, super close to Labrang Monastery. You can easily walk to see the temple's night view, and it's incredibly convenient for exploring and dining out. The area is also very peaceful. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and I could see distant mountain views right from my window. The facilities were complete, and the Tibetan-style decor was very distinctive, making for a very comfortable and restful stay. The ******* food at the hotel was such a delightful surprise! Their signature hand-pulled lamb was tender and flavorful, and the dipping sauce was incredibly aromatic. The portions were generous, and the taste was authentic. Plus, there were cultural song and dance performances, allowing us to experience local culture while dining. The front desk and restaurant staff were all very warm and helpful, responding quickly to any issues. My entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit! Overall, the value for money is excellent. Friends visiting Xiahe should definitely consider this place!
