Heraklion Prefecture Hotels with Breakfast

It is relatively convenient to get to Cullersburg, the bus station and the central square. You can almost reach it by walking 500 meters. Take bus 2 to Knossos Palace. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, and the breakfast is rich and constantly improved according to our needs. The hotel can also help with sightseeing arrangements. Because it is difficult to go to Spinalonga Island in the off-season (it is closed on weekdays), but Mary helped contact the taxi driver, carefully planned the route and plan for us, and continued to discuss it. On the day of our visit, the driver also learned that there were temporary closures on the island. We are a group, so we can be open to us by the way, so that there will be no regrets in the journey!

Stayed here 1 night as an extra night due to late flight arrival times so we didn’t burn a day at our all inclusive. Hotel is brand new, clean, comfortable and very well located. As a family of 4 we had a double joining room. Staff were absolutely brilliant and went out their way to be so friendly and nice. It had a small gym but all good equipment, perfect for a short stay, breakfast buffet was decent for a short stay… Would highly recommend if you want a modern, clean and nice hotel. We spent the part of the day exploring Heraklion before heading to Panormos to our all inclusive. A+

The hotel is pretty clean and modern. We found the beds to be very comfy and the hotel's location was pretty convenient near the old town and port areas. The rooms are well appointed with a couple of chairs, a work area, a coffee/tea station, big TV and a large bathroom. There were enough plugs around the room and many switches with light settings to get it just right. We appreciated the balcony and the view outside but there were some cars that drove by with very loud music each night. The only significant complaint we had was that the bathroom shower leaked very easily in our rooms and got the floor wet near the toilet. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good with a variety of Crete foods like cheese and pastries. There was fresh scrambled eggs and a very good sausage available as well. The breakfast also had a large variety of preserved fruits that paired well with the Greek yoghurt and included oranges, cherries, grapes and figs. We appreciated that the hotel had inexpensive parking nearby at Central Parking which was 7 Euros per day with unlimited in/out privileges as long as we got a stamp when we got in. The hotel also had a restaurant that offered room service and there was a popular cafe just across the street. This hotel was a good base for exploring Crete with a convenient location near the airport and the price was very fair for us.

I had a lovely 2 days stay here! The staff was helpful and friendly, room service was excellent too! This was the nicest hotel for a great price! I chose the budget room and will come back again! Also, I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast! Cheers!

A fantastic hotel, just 200 meters from the Cretan Archaeological Museum. There's a bus stop right next to the hotel to Knossos Palace; a round trip costs €5. The room I booked was great, the bathroom was clean, and it had a balcony, but it was a bit noisy at night because it's near the road. Also, it's a bit far from the beach, so the sea view isn't great. There was a kettle and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast was excellent, served per person, and I couldn't finish it all. The coffee was the best I've had at breakfast in years. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Heraklion.

We recently stayed at the Metropole and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment wr arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable stay while in Greece. There are a maze of options but you will do yourself a favour by staying here.

Amazing hotel with great friendly staff. The breakfast was great and had a lot of variety with traditional Greek food and gluten free and organic options. It is centrally located to the old town and lots of bars and restaurants. The bus Center is near by too.

The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped, and there was a small supermarket in the lobby. In particular, the front desk staff was very warm and friendly, and gave us handwritten bus routes and bus stop names. The bus stop was not far from the hotel, which was very helpful for us to visit the city (the bus driver did not understand English).

I giving this review from my previous stays at this accommodation over the last 10 Years. Its always been a pleasant and convenient place to stay. Just one complaint though. I accidentally booked the wrong dates to stay but i managed to cancel a whole week before i was meant to stay. NO REFUND EVEN WITH A WEEKS NOTICE!  The hotel Just referred me to TRIP.COM And TRIP.COM just referred me to The hotel. It definitely soured my experience with a place i have stayed at before every time i come to visit

The Hotel Irakion is right in the centre of te Cretan capital. Excellent position to visit all attractions, museum, Lion Square etc or to just wander around taking in the atmosphere. Plenty of restaurants nearby. An open grill opposite the hotel was perfect to get a souvlaki to take back at night and eat it on the balcony with ouzo from the small 24 hour shop opposite hotel. The hotel itself I well run, clean. Has 24 hour reception. The room offered everything needed, hot shower, toiletries, plenty of loo roll towels and a fridge. Comfy large beds. Balcony with table and chairs. They also provided a decent hot and cold buffet to suit almost all tastes. The breakfast sets you up for the day of whatever you're doing next. Enjoy Greece 🇬🇷
