Kalutara Hotels with Breakfast

We had a wonderful family stay at The Hub Panadura. The self check-in process was very smooth, with clear instructions, and we were inside and settled in within minutes. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, spotless, modern, and well-maintained, with a cozy living area and comfortable beds. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Highly recommend it, and we would definitely stay here again.

This place is very clean and comfortable. The family here is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they warmly welcomed us. They provided all the amenities, making us feel right at home. It's also close to a supermarket, so we could buy groceries and cook our own meals. I highly recommend this place.

Unfortunately underwhelming... We booked a room with 2 double beds (alternatively 2 single bed) for a higher price because that's what we wanted - when we checked in, we were given a room with 1 double bed. Unfortunately the bed couldn't be spitted and no other room was available (which we highly doubted, as we were one of the early one's checking in that day). We received a very soft co-sleeper bed... The first night, we went to bed quite early as we were exhausted from the day. Suddenly, there was banging on the door - up to 10 times - before I was awake enough to open the door to 2 service guys from the hotel, giving me some cut fruits and 4 pralines - at 10:30pm!? I was totally confused by the time and behaviour... Also the personnel wasn't of great help when asked regarding directions, post office, or else... We just didn't like the experience we had in this hotel.

The hotel staff were delightful. They were very accommodating of us travelling with toddlers. They even let us order food from a different restaurant within the hotel and served it in another restaurant. Their potion sizes were worth the money. Overall good experience.

The hotel is in a beautiful location. Only one hotel employee took care of all hotel tasks, and he was nice. We booked 3 nights. Instead of the room we booked, we were given a different room for the first two days. The air conditioning was broken and very hot. Through the large window, all the pedestrians outside could see us. The large window had no curtain. The room was not that nice, tidy, or clean. The room we had booked had been rented out to another guest. We got the room we had booked on the last day. The room with a sea view was nice, and the air conditioning worked. We had a very good breakfast! European and Sri Lankan dishes.

The most cost-effective hotel in the whole trip, we booked a sea view room for more than 1,000 yuan, including buffet dinner and breakfast for two people, and the front desk also upgraded us to a sea view suite. The last public building designed by the Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa before his death was really surprising, like the upgraded version of the Jetway Lagoon Hotel in Negombo designed by him. The water from the fountain flows into the infinity pool, and in the distance are the waves of the Indian Ocean. If you are not a fan of Bawa, you will feel that this hotel is not exquisite, luxurious or modern enough.

Hotel on the beach. Pool with fresh water. Air conditioning works only in one mode. Refrigerator rumbles like a tractor. Louder than a train and the ocean. The bar does not sell alcohol on holidays. In another hotel they sell it without problems. The food is ordinary home-cooked. Sometimes it is not even tasty. Does not match the price!!!! Four sun loungers (but then they brought two more wooden ones) !

The hotel has rich meals, the staff has a great service attitude, the breakfast and dinner are very rich, there are many options, and I saw that a Chinese restaurant is still being prepared. In addition, the sea view is also very nice, the beach is super large, the sunset is very beautiful, and it is very photogenic. I recommend it! ! !

We had a pleasant stay at this beautiful hotel with a stunning surrounding and impressive historical architecture. The food was enjoyable, and the pool and outdoor areas were simply amazing. However, the rooms require significant attention. Cleanliness was below expectations, and many facilities need repair, ACs were not functioning properly, beds were old, and the TV did not work. The bathroom setup caused water to spill into the room while bathing, and overall, the rooms could benefit from extensive renovation. Additionally, while the staff service was acceptable, more training would improve the guest experience. Overall, the hotel has great potential due to its location, history, and structure, but the rooms need substantial maintenance to match the beauty of the surroundings.
