"The hotel is very near all landmarks and easily accessible by train stations and tram. It’s a self check in hotel. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, tho the room is quite small so if you have two big luggages then its already crowded. At the lobby is a bar that is open til late at night and in one night of our stay, there was commotion and so many police came around 3am. It woke me up because of the loud noise of people shouting etc."

GGuest UserPerfect hotel to stay in, staff was super nice and helpful.
After checking out, we have an overnight bus to catch, staff was generous enough to let us use the shower in the gym, we were super delighted to be able to revitalize ourselves.
The staff asked us to be like home, and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
Breakfast is very nice, complimentary dinner is good too, with different dishes everynight. They even have afternoon fika time for a quick snack and coffee.
Amazed by the service and commitment for every customer.

GGuest UserA beautiful room but experienced a number of disappointments.
Hotel guests must pay a supplement daily charge to use the swimming pools AND book at designated time slot. I have NEVER experienced this at any hotel anywhere in the world. I was in a premium room, but this policy applies to all guests, which I think is awful. It was also impossible to get a spa appointment during my stay. Zero preference given to hotel guests. I strongly suggest you book spa treatments at least a week in advance of your arrival. Also, there is no turndown service, unusual for a highly priced 5* hotel. Housekeeping also finishes very early, or isn’t interested in guests who don’t align with their schedule. I had to work in my room but left at 2:45pm and it was not cleaned despite signalling the room needed making up. The reception team were polite, but chaotic. Generally, the hotel restaurants seem more focused on catering to outside guests, which is a shame.

RrealllcocoIt's quite clean, with automatic check-in and check-out. There are also three types of restrooms, so there are plenty available. The common area has a full set of utensils. A Kiwi supermarket is right next door, where I bought a lot of delicious food. The curtains on the bed can be fully drawn for good privacy, and there's storage right next to the bed. Everything is accessed with your own card, so it feels quite secure. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs because this room can get super noisy if there are a lot of people. However, during my stay, everyone was consciously keeping quiet, which was great. It's about a 20-minute bus ride on line 30 to the city center and 50 minutes to the airport. So, I think for this price, the location is excellent!

KKeris/\I stayed in the Junior Suite at Scandic Byporten and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect — directly connected to Oslo Central Station, which makes traveling around the city and to the airport incredibly convenient.
The suite was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. I especially appreciated the large windows with great city views and the cozy seating area, which made the room feel more like a small apartment than a hotel. Everything was spotless and well-maintained.
The staff were professional, welcoming, and efficient. Breakfast was another highlight — a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, including local specialties.
Overall, my stay was smooth and relaxing. The Junior Suite is definitely worth it if you want extra comfort and space in the heart of Oslo. Highly recommended!

LLoving exploring to the fullHad a wonderful time and used the gym as well. Easy accessible to the train station and the city area to explore. Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. Only experience some disturbance in my sleep on my last night due to people above my room constantly moving around and making noise. Besides that I had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend

GGuest UserNot a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff.
The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints?
Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while.
Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign.
The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies.
The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings.
Wouldn’t stay there again.

KKinniFrom the hotel it's easy to walk to some of the main tourist attractions and main streets with many supermarkets and convenience stores around. Our twin room was a little small and didn't have a kettle or fridge, otherwise it was nice and quiet and I slept very well. (A kettle and fridge plus microwave and laundry facilities were available in a shared/public space in the hotel)

AAdaline MasudaTruly one of the best hotel stays I have ever experienced. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well accommodated and comfortable throughout. When we arrived at the hotel it was 11AM, so I mentioned to the front desk staff that I know it was far too early for us to receive our room (check in is typically at 3PM) and that we would like to simply drop off our bags. Without any special requests, the front desk staff immediately prepared our room keys of us to check in right away, which was hugely appreciated since we had caught a very early morning flight in. We loved the room. It was very comfortable for the 3 of us, although a bit tight but that's what we expected for hotel rooms in Europe. The bathroom was well fitted and had all the basic toiletries required (shampoo, body wash, hand soap), however we hoped to have body lotion as well, so we asked housekeeping whether any was available and they immediately brought 3 LARGE bottles for each of us to use. I have never seen such massive toiletries and in such generous quantities supplied at any hotel before, which again made us feel very well taken care of. Finally on our check out day our flight was not until 6PM and since checkout is typically at 11AM I requested for just a 1 hr extension. Although they were very busy for it being the beginning of summer holidays, without any hesitation the front desk staff extended our checkout time to 3PM. I was once again very pleasantly surprised and appreciative. My last note is to touch on the complimentary tea and coffee always available in the lobby, as well as the fabulous buffet breakfast they served. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
