Amazing
GGuest UserHotel is maybe the best one in Izmir with very good location. Hotel staff are very friendly and polite. However there was one exception in my experience and I only share it to improve the experience for the new guests if anyone is really reading my feedback. It was written that Alipay and WeChat is accepted at the hotel check in desk/reception. Then I asked whether i can pay with these apps and the reply was very unapologetically no in a rude manner. Hotel staff called Cisem replied me with a super serious face and tone without even giving any explanation on reason of not servicing or when it’ll actually be available even it was written payment with these apps are accepted. I felt like I’m in a highly bureaucratic, red taped government office. I’d just suggest you remove that thing till you really serve with these payment apps or at least train your staff on how they should reply clients. Otherwise it’s super annoying…At least write there that it’ll be available soon. There was another lady probably staff manager who came to apologize. It was very polite of her to check whether if there’s anything she can do. But I couldn’t understand why she asked our room number as she didn’t do anything afterwards. It kinda feels weird when someone questions something for nothing…
GGuest UserI was surprised by the hostel. I loved the decor; it feels super homey. The people who work there are very friendly. I loved the garden. It's very close to the train station and downtown.
GGuest UserI stayed here for 1 night in February 2026. The hotel is just amazing.
Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk to Basmane metro station, 10 min walk to the sea.
Staff is great, they're friendly and sweet. The only thing I missed was that they didn't greet guests at breakfast and were not very smiling, except for one person, unfortunately I don't remember his name, he shows guests their room on their arrival. He is VERY friendly, gives all the information about the room amenities, breakfast time, etc.
My room was very clean and smelt good. Bed is comfortable, bed linen is perfectly white. The hotel even has pillow menu.
Breakfast is also great. There is a great variety of cereal, muesli, dried fruit and nuts, cheese, 2 kinds of honey (liquid and comb honey), several kinds of coffee.
I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again for sure.
GGuest UserThe hotel is big and very industrial. Booked a 2 bedroom grand suite. The communal areas are very big and well furnished. The master bedroom is a good size but the 2nd bedroom is very cramped for twin beds. The kitchen is well equipped but as an apartment for 4 only had crockery and glasses for 2.
The area is very grubby as it is in the heart of the car workshops.
The communal areas in the hotel are very grubby and look dirty and rundown except for the reception area.
Would not use again and in my opinion £400 for 2 nights was excessive.
That said the buffet breakfast was exceptionally good.
LLilysisterThis was the worst hotel choice of my trip to Turkey. The biggest problem was the strong odor in the room; the bathroom was smelly, and the room had a different kind of odor altogether. Because there were no screens, a large fly got in when I opened the window for ventilation. Looking down from the window, I saw many garbage cans piled up below, no wonder there were flies. The view of the pine trees in the church garden opposite the window was the main reason I chose this hotel, but it turned out like this. People sensitive to smells should be very careful, and I hope the hotel can improve this situation promptly.
EEmin GuluzadeGood overall stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were polite and helpful, and the room had everything needed for a pleasant stay. Amenities and service were good and met expectations. The only downside is the location, which is a bit far from the city center and main attractions. Other than that, everything was fine and I would still recommend the hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the center - in the heart of Izmir. Many different Turkish cafes around. Not far from the market.
Before you check-in you should verify the actual details and size of your room. In our case what was in the picture on Trip.com was not exactly the reality. When we asked why we booked 20m3 double room and were given a small one of 14m3 they started explaining that the system booked automatically..., we have two types..., you should have told us you need the bigger one etc. Very funny and weak excuses.
Otherwise the hotel is not bad, the breakfast is ok, the location is nice. By the way - parking is just along the road next to the hotel - it is a normal way of parking in many places in Türkiye.
JJosef1064I got upgraded from an economy to a standard room on the 4th level with a great view of Pagos Hill and Kadifekale Castle.
Situated in a local neighghborhood that come across as being dodgy but was in fact rather save.
It's a 5 minutes walk Basmane station to get to Izmir I +- 1 hour,v Pammukale +-3 hours and to the airport 20minutes.
The room was clean albeit small and a buffet breakfast of assorted breads, hard boiled eggs , olives, tomatoes , cucumbers, cheeses along with jams and honey was good enough kick off the day with tea and coffee included.
It's also walking distance to the Agora Open Air Museum and the Kemeraltı Bazaar.
I had a comfortable stay here and as a solo budget traveller, the Olimpiyat serves my purpose.
I was given a small gift when I checked out which was indeed a pleasant surprise.
GGuest UserMr Osman from the reception made sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. He was very kind, friendly and always attentive to my needs.
He kept my luggage safe for me before I checked in and after I checked out.
The breakfast was moderately good with delicious fried vegetables and fried eggs. There were choice of bread too ( simit and brown bread)
Mr Osman was helpful in guiding me around the city.
The hotel is near to Basmane Metro station and you can use this line for Izban.
You can also go to Izmir otogar ( izmir bus station) directly by bus. You need 302 it comes every 10-15 mins. Ther bus stop is near Basmane train station near the mosque.
There is also a Tramvay to Konak port if you prefer to travel by ferry and to other ports.
If Mr Osman is there again I would defiantly recommend this hotel.
GGuest User
