Amazing
BBryce van de LaarWe spent two nights in Alquimiste and we never wanted to leave! The guesthouse which is almost 100 years old is full of antique furniture, original artwork, and even has a lookout tower on the 4th floor boasting 360 views of the Carrasco neighborhood.
It is a 2 minute walk from the beach and very close to some of Montevideo’s most famous restaurants. Carolina and Mark are delightful and happy to help with anything.
The restaurant is lovely, and the breakfasts is a real treat. Hot croissants, freshly baked scones with marmalade and cream cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, and beautifully plated granola we’re just some of our favorites.
Staying at Alquimiste, you really feel like you are apart of something special!
GGuest UserGreat location, facilities and hotel ambiance. Staff was attentive although the service on the 10th floor restaurant was very slow. Also the service at breakfast could have been a bit faster. The dinner experience was good and the food quality very good. Will highly recommend this hotel.

Great
AAnonymous UserEvery was great: good location, close to everything, excellent top-floor room with terrace with amazing view, comfty bed with multiple pillows, loft style room, safe place - there are some beggars around the property but they are not aggressive, grocery shop in 1 min walk, fast check-in and check-out, perfect cleaning.
EEJ9Everything was excellent. The room had recently been redecorated and was very clean, the restaurant is superb, hotel staff was very friendly and pointed us to interesting places in the city. It is at a central location in the city so it's great if you're planning to explore by walking on the rambla. We hope to visit again soon!

888Tony88Hotel Costanero Montevideo - MGallery is located in Pocitos, right in front of Pocitos beach. The hotel has a modern contemporary interior design, and it is beautifully decorated. The hotel is situated about 35 minutes
drive to Carrasco International Airport.
We stayed Hotel Costanero Montevideo - MGallery for 1 night, and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, bar, and all the staff at Cauce made our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed.
Breakfast is served at Cauce restaurant located on the 1st floor overlooking the beach and breakfast menu exceeded our expectations. There are a variety of croissants and pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, yoghurt, and coffee. We were given 2 complimentary welcome drinks at the bar.
The swimming pool and sauna are located on the 2nd floor and are clean and new. The gym is new and equipped with modern cardio and weight equipment.
Our room is a king-size room overlooking the beach on the 3rd floor. The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is modern, and the bed linen and towels were impeccable. We can enjoy the seaview by lying on our bed.
EElena from ChinaThey upgraded my room to a bigger one, but it felt like it wasn't booked for some time, the floor was a bit dusty.
The bed is comfortable.
The lobby looks luxurious, but the room is very basic, walls are empty.100% Blackout curtains.
The staff is nice and helpful.
However they didn't allow me to use the swimming pool after I checked out despite on I checked in very late.
Free luggage storage.
The restaurant manager is super nice, and the breakfast is good.
The location is good, a convenience store at the corner, a couple of restaurants nearby, nice buildings. Quiet district.
LLanaStar13The hotel is located right opposite the station. Very convenient, so chose. Comfortable bed, white skiing, what you wouldn't say about towels. Well, why don't hotels provide at least one small bottle of water? ! I had to go to the supermarket, too across the road. For breakfast you can say almost nothing. Toast bread, butter, jam, one kind of cut cheese and ham, coffee, milk, juice and mushrooms. There were no vegetables, no fruits, no yoghurt. Baking 2-3 the species is absolutely tasteless. Omlet is required. Otherwise it would still be hungry at all. It is possible to stay overnight, but breakfast is definitely not recommended to take.
Kk0sm0It's a hotel near the Independence Square in Montevideo, so I think it's a good place to stay for sightseeing purposes, but I have some points to worry about, so I'll point out that. First of all, the soundproofing is weak, not only can you hear the sounds and voices from the corridors and stairs, but also the sounds from the outside. From midnight to morning, I couldn't sleep easily and felt uncomfortable because I could hear the noise of people who were running EDM and making noise clearly. Next, the overall aging was progressing, and the water in the shower room on the upper part of the room was leaking little by little, but the lower part of the room was leaking. I put up with it because it was still a small amount, but I felt that I needed repair soon. Finally, it was nice to have a unique room and floor plan, but I was worried that the details were broken or not moved. As a hotel, I got the impression that it was fashionable and clean for the season, but there was something to worry about, so I think it's good to consider whether to stay based on that.
JJJGGCCRRI needed somewhere nice to stay for a quick visit to Montevideo- this hotel is in desperate need of renovation, the rooms themselves were clean but absolutely tiny- I could barely move around the room. Breakfast was decent and service was great, friendly staff. For the price, I think it is okay.
OOVRCMNGDecaying hotel and installations.
Needs repair/retrofit urgent.
The room was terrible: dirty and scratched walls, bed seemed to be recently used (although it seemed clean sheets) or was badly made.
The bathroom was old and the floor was dirty
the whole experience was a nightmare.
