"Our stay at the New Park "Hotel" was sandwiched between stays in Ludlow and Shrewsbury and, interestingly, all within £5 pounds of each other per night. The accommodation before the New Park was £5 less yet included an outstanding breakfast, top quality coffee machine in the bedroom, balcony, and... staff input! The New Park Hotel is accessed by key safe or app and I do wonder how older guests or those technically-challenged would manage. Our room was categorised as "large" when booking and was fine but, again, comparison with the previous night unavoidable - same size or larger and better bathroom. On that matter, our bathroom door would not close properly which did mean making a noise in the night when trying to close/open. There was noise transmission as other guests passed coming in or leaving but that's something that is almost inevitable with accommodation. The stairs did not bother us but they are quite steep and potential bookers should be aware. So, all in all, the property offered acceptable accommodation that is fairly easy to find (I read somewhere that it's not easy to locate)."

"This hotel is surprisingly quiet considering its location. The staff are all very friendly and the room was clean and although simple the bed was very comfortable. If I'm in the area again I works definitely return to this travelodge. Also honourable mention to the chippy in st clears- delightful fish and chips!"

"Tip number 1, do not follow the sat nav🤦‍♀️ Take A40 all the way to Nantgaredig due west, turn right off A40, follow road for a few miles to Brechfa. Ty Mawr is on the left after community hall and fabulous childrens play park. David,Jill and Buster are wonderful hosts. Buster, the Golden Retriever, clearly loves his visitors. Our room was spotless. Lovely white linen, fluffy white towels and robes, plus Myddai bathroom products. Food and drink excellent. Homemade bakery produce available on Saturday. Beautiful gardens to sit and ponder. Highly recommend a visit. Tip number 2, (no pun intended) visit the loo, the wallpaper is amazing 😀 Thank you for having us 🙏"

"I stayed for 2 nights in March 2026 as a solo female traveler, I felt perfectly safe here. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Room, with en suite, was beautifully presented and clean. I had breakfast in the hotel both days, the cooked breakfast was to order so came out hot and was really delicious. I also had dinner there one night, they have a really extensive menu and again the food was gorgeous. The hotel and restaurant are well decorated and full of character. 100% recommend and would stay again 😊"
