"The hotel is basic but suited me perfectly for me on a solo trip for a short meeting in Chambery. It was about 20 minutes walking in to the cathedral area which was no problem at all. There are no amenities really and not many shops within 5 minutes walk, but if this is not an issue for you then the hotel is entirely suitable for its price point."

"Excellent hotel! The rooms are spacious and the bedding is very comfortable. The staff is incredibly attentive (they offered me a hot drink when I was working on my laptop in the lounge, for instance). The pool is perfect for relaxing, and the long opening hours are great, especially for after work. It's just a shame the sauna is no longer operational (due to a guest who broke it, if I understood correctly). One small downside, but an important one: there's no free private parking for guests, even though there are free spots right in front of the entrance. You have to constantly pay at the parking meter..."

"My friend and I recently visited Chateau Candie. From the moment we drove through the hotel gates and up through the Chateau vineyard and on into the exquisite grounds we left all of our modern day worries behind. Nothing was too much for the hotel staff who were efficient and attentive. The meal in the restaurant was high end and the ambience perfect. It has rekindled our bromance as it was such a well decorated building and we had such a relaxing couple of days"

"Firstly you'll be given a very warm welcome by Anne and Sam, the hoteliers. We arrived after midnight and Anne & Sam could not have been more helpful. My family was split boys and girls in two delightful rooms in charming location just outside town. Breakfast was delicious and served a cool, modern restaurant. Our stay was very short notice and we cannot thank Sam enough for organising our onward transport as we scrambled to get to Lyon Airport. We'd love to go back one day and enjoy more time at Hotel O'Pervenches with its beautiful surroundings and country side. Regardless of the length of your stay Anne and Sam will make your stay comfortable in their charming hotel."
