"Beautiful Location, But Let Down by Poor Management and Customer Service. We recently stayed at the St George Beach Hotel & Spa and, despite its lovely setting, our overall experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest concern was the number of stray cats throughout the hotel grounds and restaurants. While we appreciate that Cyprus has many street cats, guests should not have to dine with cats walking between tables and eating from plates. During one evening meal, a cat unexpectedly jumped onto my lap. Rather than checking if I was alright, the head waiter aggressively threw the cat off me while loudly accusing me of feeding it. The cat dug its claws in to my clothes in fear and ripped the material. I had not fed the cat—I was simply shocked by what had happened. His reaction was unprofessional, embarrassing and completely inappropriate. Equally concerning was the sunbed situation. We became aware and witnessed some guests were paying the sunbed attendants €10 to reserve the best-positioned loungers. This created the impression that those willing to pay unofficially received preferential treatment, despite everyone having paid for the same holiday. This is unfair and leaves a very poor impression. The hotel itself has so much potential, but customer service and guest experience are clearly not priorities. Cleanliness and hygiene around the restaurants need improving, the stray cat issue requires proper management, staff should receive training on how to deal with guests respectfully, and the sunbed allocation system needs to be transparent and fair. Another noticeable feature was the amount of under 18’s drinking alcohol. Yes it’s an adults only but it’s actually 16+ unfortunately the youngsters were out of control after being served alcoholic drinks with parents not taking responsibility and waiters not checking ages. Why do I care? Because they were loud, out of control and obnoxious! And this is advertised as an “Adults Only” Hotel. What disappoints me most is that I contacted the hotel directly by email to raise these concerns before posting a public review. I felt it was only fair to give them the opportunity to respond or address the issues. Unfortunately, I received no acknowledgement or reply whatsoever. That lack of communication speaks volumes about how guest feedback is valued. Reading many of the reviews, I get the impression that the hotel relies heavily on returning guests who visit year after year. While it’s wonderful that many people enjoy returning, I do wonder whether familiarity means some of the ongoing issues are simply accepted or overlooked. As a first-time visitor, these problems were impossible to ignore and fell well below the standard we expected. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again."

"Had an amazing time for my brothers wedding staff are brilliant especially Manolis behind the bar was a legend. Pool and slides are brilliant and there is Donna kebab on tap round pool..winner. Big up manolis in the picture"

"A solidly good hotel- well worth a visit! I am writing this from my sun bed during a 7 night stay here. Positive's -Spotlessly clean rooms and pool area -asking for a sea view room means views to die for at sunset -Excellent and helpful staff -Baby pool/ volleyball pool and indoor pool are excellent additions to the large main pool. -the buffet always has a dish that is consistently excellent with plenty of salad and healthy options to -evening entertainment is basic but done very well and the kids disco was a lovely touch for our children Negatives -the location means a long walk or short taxi to the beach -A la carte food not up to scratch and probably not worth a visit (cut in half breakfast rolls for garlic bread and pre made pizza bases. Deserts not up to much) We wouldn't hesitate to visit again"

"The arrival was great we met Scott anna and Jordan beautiful room. The next day our experience was not as good with dinitri our bathroom was flooding and it seemed like he didn't care. All he said was I'm sorry about tat but nothing change. Two days later we talked to nassar or baser can't remember the name but the problem was fixed. Big thank you to nazar who I only met once and to Scot got his great welcome.."

"great hotel. Large swimming pool overlooking the sea. The pool is set in a well-kept garden with palm trees and ficus trees. You can watch wonderful sunsets. Food varied and very tasty. Rooms clean, cleaned daily, towels changed every day, toiletries replenished according to consumption. Good bus service to Paphos. Bus stop very close to the hotel. The hotel does not have direct access to the sea, but beaches are to the right and left of the hotel, a few hundred metres away. Staff very helpful, of a high standard. Animations for adults very interesting- live music, magician shows, acrobatic shows."

"The hotel cannot in any way live up to the expectations raised by the website and the photos. Compliments to the marketing agency and the photographer. We arrived at night and the first impression was extremely dreary. Totally uncharming and cold entrance hall, which would do justice to any emergency room in a hospital. Cold, white, bright light everywhere in the hotel, which does not create any kind of coziness. Rooms cheaply renovated and pretty run down. The room also has this unpleasant, bright, cold lighting. Toilet so narrow that there was hardly any room to sit down. Never again"

"I stayed at Sunny Hill Apartments and unfortunately had a very negative experience. The apartment itself was dirty when we arrived and felt cold and uncomfortable throughout the stay. The noise levels were awful — there were neighbours fighting loudly during the night which kept us awake for hours. It felt very unsettling and when we reported it to reception, they didn’t do anything to help or resolve the situation. We also tried the on-site restaurant and it was extremely disappointing. We had pre-booked a different dinner in advance, but when we arrived, that wasn’t what we were given. Instead, we were served overcooked spaghetti with no flavour, plain rice with nothing on it, and dry pork chops that were very hard to eat. That was the entire meal. To make matters worse, the lady working there avoided us — she actually hid when we went in to eat — and we were not offered any drinks, sauces, or anything with the meal. We were the only people in the restaurant which says a lot, and the food quality and service were both extremely poor. Overall, between the cleanliness issues, the constant noise, lack of support from reception, and the restaurant experience, the stay was very disappointing. I would not return or recommend staying here."
