"The staff was super friendly and helpful. Reasonably clean by French standards. The toilet seat was loose and yellow, there was no toilet brush, and the shower had dark stains. I won't be booking this hotel again and can't recommend it (considering our room)."

"Allowed stay We stayed in this hotel one night together with a four-year-old child. The "dermatological" concern, probably related to bed linen, was reported to the staff, who took note of it. The breakfast was not the same as we had to expect: we had to wait about 15 minutes to get butter, and the eggs were cool (really cold, not just tight). Positive point, however: staff is friendly and courteous."

"I stayed at Holiday Inn Clermont-Ferrand Centre for 2 nights in early December 2025. The location is excellent – right in the city centre, walking distance to Place de Jaude, Christmas market lights, and easy access to public transport for the Zénith concert venue. The room was clean, modern, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout the stay. However, there is a significant problem with the €100 security deposit. At check-in, it was pre-authorized on my card (standard procedure). At checkout on December 7, I was told it would be automatically released. Unfortunately, as of December 29 (3 weeks later), the money is still blocked on my card. The hotel acknowledged a technical issue with their payment terminal on December 6 that affected releases, and promised it would be fixed “at the beginning of the next week” (email on Dec 17), but I have received no further response despite follow-up emails. This has caused unnecessary financial inconvenience during the holiday period. While I enjoyed the hotel itself, I cannot fully recommend it until this matter is resolved, as the deposit process has been unreliable. I hope management addresses this quickly for future guests. Thank you to the team for the pleasant stay otherwise."

"I booked La Tour de Gregoireas as I was driving through France and parked up in town early evening and looked at hotel options so it was quite a last minute booking and turned out to be a great place to stay. I arrived at La Tour well after 6pm and I rang the number to get the code to get into the building and the room but the phone kept cutting out. I got into the room fine and the helpful owner came back to meet me and explain about the room and breakfast which was really nice of him. The room was clean and comfortable and was in a great location being right in the centre of town but also in a very quiet little street. In the morning I opened the bedroom door and there was a little basket hanging on a hook outside which contained fresh rolls and a few different pastries. There are jams etc, in the fridge too. I had a great stay and would be happy to stay there again."

"Exceptionally clean, comfortable and in a great location. Decent breakfast. A beautiful marine fish tank in reception. Can’t fault the hotel itself. It’s our second time here and we’d stay again. The Underground car park has really steep access ramps, so very low cars might struggle. It is however reassuringly secure. At the moment, the exit route from the car park is dug up but we weren’t notified. It meant driving over very rough ground/stones before exiting across a pedestrian route and cycle way onto a very confusing/poorly signposted one way junction. Not ideal."
