"This location is perfect a block from the train station easy walking distance to the river my room was roomy ensuite. Bed was comfy and staff friendly. Walking distance to most things. The only handicap was no elevator so if stairs are a problem request ground floor."

"DO NOT BOOK THIS! I booked through their website which did not have a payment link. I got a WhatsApp message from an unknown number asking for a BANK TRANSFER! They said they don’t do online payment, and I can’t pay at the property because they manage it remotely. They then asked me to send card details. Let that sink in - they want you to send card details to a questionable WhatsApp number. When I jumped through hoops to send a transfer, they suddenly went silent. Didn’t answer emails or WhatsApp messages. Have requested my bank to reverse the transfer and have had to book a super expensive place last minute. THIEVES!"

"We loved this place from the moment we arrived. It’s really well presented, has great staff and free secure parking nearby, which in a city, is like gold dust. The B&B is in a great location next door to the university, close to the old town and walking distance to bars, restaurants and cafes. We stayed in a king room with kitchenette which had a super comfortable bed, good bedding and towels, plenty of hot water and a microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery. Breakfast was a good range of hot and cold options. Highly recommended."

"I had a very spacious room on the 4th floor with nice city views for my overnight stay. Comfortable bed, large wardrobe with big drawers and lots of hanging space, good-sized safe, tv with many channels in different languages, large desk, three chairs and small table. The power sockets were some distance from the desk and table. I appreciated the coffee machine, individual air conditioning, and having a bath as well as a shower. The bathroom was large with lots of bench and storage space. The mixer tap in the sink was very wonky, and one had to climb into the bath to turn on and test the water. I had a delicious room service meal - salmon and Mediterranean mashed potato - five stars! The staff were helpful with advice and I was provided with a map which had sights labelled or marked. There were complimentary cold drinks in the lobby. Unfortunately, when I returned to the hotel at 4.30pm (having left my luggage there earlier), my room still wasn't ready (check-in was 3pm). The hotel is well-situated - you can walk to all the main sights, but it's not in a heavily touristy street. Overall, the advantages far outweighed the few issues."

"The staff were very helpful and the cafe / restaurant a real asset. The location is also terrific as is the bus stop just outside the camp which will whisk you in to the centre of Coimbra within 20mins. However, the whole site looks and feels rather neglected: old caravans going green with what looks like neglect, soggy pitches with little apparent attempt to make them better for parking on ( notwithstanding the unusually wet conditions experienced this winter), poor signage, forelorn and dated toilet and showering blocks..... A little bit of love and attention and this could be a 5* site. As it is now, a 3* is generous."
