Basic services are prompt, and the resort is very quiet, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway. ⚠️ **Cons** Built into the hillside, the hotel is difficult to access by taxi. The winding mountain road leading up to the hotel is very steep. The location is remote with no nearby restaurants or supermarkets, making guests entirely reliant on the hotel's shuttle service. This isn't ideal for independent travelers. Being an older property, facility maintenance is mediocre. Be mindful when running hot water in the bathtub, as it comes from a water tank, and once it's empty, only cold water is available."

"This is the second hotel of this trip. The first one is Anantara Phuket's Mai Khao Villa. Let's talk about the environment first. It is indeed the style of Anantara. I heard that this one in Samui was also filmed at the White Lotus Resort. After going there, it is true that the environment is good overall. The sea is much better than Phuket. We also went to play paddleboards the next morning, which was very interesting. The breakfast is at the normal luxury hotel level, fresh, but not very thoughtful. Next, let's talk about the service. One of the reasons we chose Anantara is that it has its own tennis court, which is convenient for us to play. On the second day of the trip, we made an appointment for the tennis court for the next day. When we made the appointment, we got a clear reply from the front desk that it was already booked from 10 to 12 in the morning. The next day we entered the court to play as scheduled. At 11 o'clock, the staff of the gym department came to ask us about our appointment time. We said it was 10 to 12 in the morning. He told us that 11 to 12 was booked by the guest next door. At that time, we thought there might be a first come first served, so we thought it was ok and retreated to the front desk to ask. The staff at the front desk who should be a manager listened to our story and replied that the hotel can only book 1 hour a day. However, our two-hour reservation the day before was clearly booked with the front desk replying ”available”. In this case, our second hour was canceled and we were temporarily informed of the hotel's regulations. I was puzzled by this. Although the hotel front desk still helped us book another hour in the afternoon as compensation, to be honest, it really affected our mood. There was another episode. When we left, we lost a lululemon legging on the balcony. Because we don't speak Thai and don't have a Thai address, we asked a Thai friend to call the hotel to inquire. The hotel replied that they needed to give feedback after checking, and then there was no feedback. It was probably lost. Although this was also caused by our carelessness, anyway, I think the possibility of disappearing in a hotel is not very high."

"We stayed at New Star from late April to early May. The hotel is located on Chaweng Noi Beach, which, in our opinion, is the best beach for swimming, clear water, seclusion, and hotel quality. New Star itself consists of several small buildings, bungalows, and villas nestled on a hillside that slopes down to the beach, featuring a huge panoramic pool. The way everything is built and covered by lush vegetation is so intricate that even by the end of our stay, we could still get a little lost looking for our room. The room layout and amenities make for a very comfortable stay, and the housekeeping is excellent. Breakfasts were perfectly adequate and fitting for the hotel's star rating, with various dim sum options available. The staff were incredibly attentive, responding to every request instantly and always with a smile. They even celebrated my birthday with a complimentary cake. There were always plenty of free sun loungers available on the beach and by the pool, and the tree canopies provided reliable shade from the sun. We visited the gym twice a day; there were enough machines and equipment, and water, towels, and disinfectants were provided. In summary, we wholeheartedly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxed getaway on a beautiful beach."

"I had a great experience with staying in Anavana resort - cosy apartment with boutique furniture and details like aromacosmethics. Very clean both room and territory. The location is also great for me - not in the noisy center of Chaweng but still easy to reach by feet or songteo, fruit shop, 7-eleven are right at the entrance of the lobby as well as many restaurants options nearby. The beach is very clean with fine white and and smooth slope. Thai lesson was as surprising bonus. Next time visiting Samui will definitely choose this resort again."

"The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel view is stunning; our room overlooked an endless sea view, which was so relaxing. The butler was also very attentive and thoughtful. When they found out we had an upset stomach, they immediately arranged for ginger tea. "From the moment we arrived at Sala Choengmon Beach, we were completely captivated by its stunning beauty. The resort is a paradise, and the staff are kind, attentive, and go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. We stayed in the garden pool villa for four nights and loved every moment. This part of Koh Samui is quieter, offering a peaceful retreat, but getting around was effortless thanks to the scooter hire shop conveniently located next to the resort’s entry. Their friendly service made exploring the island a breeze. We’re incredibly thankful for an amazing stay and will remember Sala Choengmon Beach for many years to come. It’s an experience we would happily return to again and again!"

"Services were excellent with staff always willing to offer help and care about your needs. The pool in the room was absolutely the best that we have ever been to, which was large enough with jacuzzi function so that we could have fun and enjoy it for a long time. However there were quite a lot of ants around the pool and inside the room, but understood it's becos of the environment near the nature. It's too bad the breakfast place was relocated to Hue and the food quality was okay. Overall it's a fantastic experience for us!"
