"We stayed there at the end of July. At first, the hotel grounds seemed a bit inconvenient, but we were sleepy at the time. The hotel is built on a hilly area, and the landscaping is wonderfully integrated. Between the staircases connecting the buildings, you can see boulders and trees, giving you the feeling of living in a jungle 😍 – even though it's actually right on the beachfront 😁. The steep incline doesn't really feel like an inconvenience. If you're at reception, you hop into a golf cart and they take you where you need to go. If you're on the beach and need to go up, you can call from the bar, and a golf cart will come. Same from your room. They drive around constantly anyway, but you can always call for one. We stayed in both a Grand Deluxe and a Premier room. Our Grand Deluxe was above a two-story room, so we were effectively on the 3rd floor, not far from the pool and restaurant. The room was decorated in light grey tones. It was bright, large, very large – you could easily fit a second bed in there 😁. **Pros:** a desk, plenty of chairs (useful for hanging clothes to dry indoors), a large mirror in the bathroom, and a spacious wardrobe that opens fully. **Cons:** The bed felt more like a standard double than a king-size. There were no closed shelves by the bed for small items. The air conditioner was aimed directly at the bed, and even on its lowest setting, it was still cold. There were tiny ants (even though there was no food, they still seemed happy to live there 😁). The showerhead wasn't detachable and was small, and the bathtub was inconvenient to use. There was no shower door. Upon check-in, there were no face towels, but a quick call to reception sorted everything out. In general, if you need anything – water, towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. – just call. Now, about the Premier room – it's in a different, more verdant building nearby. The natural surroundings here are different but just as lovely – palm trees and flowers. We stayed on the 3rd floor. **Pros:** The room had a Balinese style, with carved brown furniture, interesting bedside lamps, and emerald tiles in the bathroom, creating a very relaxing atmosphere 😻. The bed was a proper king-size (just what we needed here!). It had both a rain shower and a regular shower, a detachable large showerhead, a shower door, and shelves by the bed for small items. There was a window from the bathroom to the room, which was a cool design feature and made the room look visually a bit larger. The balcony had a drying rack, which the Grand Deluxe didn't have (though we always bring a rope for such cases). No ants here! 😀 **Cons:** No desk and only one chair. The balcony had a small table, but it was low. The room felt smaller compared to the Grand Deluxe, but it was fine for two people. Less lighting, and due to the dark furniture, it was dimmer than the Grand. This didn't bother us. The wardrobe was small, with sliding doors. **Regarding the beach:** Objectively, our hotel has the best beach on Chaweng Noi because it's wide. Other hotels have narrow beach areas due to their property lines. The entry into the water is gentle, and the water is clean. When there are no clouds, it's a beautiful blue. For a couple of days, we felt some kind of biting plankton, but there were no other pests. **Breakfast:** Fresh vegetables, various egg dishes, bacon, sausages, ham, rice, chicken with vegetables, pasta, rice porridge, potatoes, beans. French toast, pancakes, waffles. Croissants, muffins, occasionally profiteroles, bread. Jams, honey, butter, Nutella. Yogurt, watermelon daily, and bananas, melon, and pineapple rotated. Cereal, milk, juices, water. Coffee from a machine. No red fish or shrimp. But overall, the food was decent. Dishes rotated, and there was always enough to eat 👍. We bought one Piña Colada – didn't like it. The taste was all wrong. Much better in Cuba! 😀😀 The hotel offers bike and car rentals. The prices weren't too high, especially since they had the exact model we were looking for. The gentleman even let us test-drive it around the property before booking. There's a shuttle bus to Central shopping mall. For 4 people, it's 80 baht per person. If only 2 people, it's 300 baht for both. This is roughly the same as a taxi. You can check Grab for exact prices. Paid late check-out is available; inquire in advance. We needed it. ❤️ **Overall impression:** Despite the minor downsides, our experience was good. It was interesting to stay in both room types."

"Wonderful hotel! We really enjoyed everything; you feel a true connection with nature here. They have various entertainment activities scheduled at the hotel. There are many thoughtful little touches in the villa. We tried the local restaurant's cuisine and liked it, though the prices were above average. Thank you, I will recommend it!"

"The hotel is super conveniently located right on the beachfront and close to restaurants. It's a 5-minute walk to 7/11, 3 minutes to an office where you can buy tours at a good price (right outside the hotel), and 5 minutes to a laundry service (50 baht per kg for washing, 70 baht with ironing). There were always sun loungers available by the pool. The breakfast gets a bit repetitive after 5-7 days, but it's perfectly acceptable (eggs, sausages/bacon, vegetables, fruits, 2 types of yogurt, 2-3 types of pastries). In the evening, you can swim in the pool and enjoy cocktails. We stayed in June, which is the dry season. We didn't have any rain during our 10-day stay, the sea was calm the entire time, and we hardly encountered any mosquitoes. We stayed in building 3; we could barely hear the bars, so it didn't disturb our sleep. Housekeeping was daily, though I wouldn't call it thorough."

"The hotel is a bit dated, but it makes up for it with beautiful views and a very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which made a big difference. The room was huge and comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathtub wasn’t working during our stay, but the staff were quick to respond and helpful. The place is quiet and perfect if you’re looking to relax. The pool was amazing, with a stunning view, and the breakfast was excellent. The beach view was nice as well, though not the main highlight compared to the pool and overall scenery. Overall, a relaxing stay with great service, beautiful views, and a calm vibe, despite the hotel showing its age."

"From the moment we arrived at Sala Choengmon Beach, we were completely captivated by its stunning beauty. The resort is a paradise, and the staff are kind, attentive, and go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable. We stayed in the garden pool villa for four nights and loved every moment. The hotel’s amenities were excellent—everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully designed. The restaurant was a highlight, serving delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast, while the pool bar made happy hour a real treat. The laundry service was exceptional, leaving our clothes smelling absolutely divine. To end our trip on the ultimate high, we enjoyed the “Sweet Escape” couples massage package, and a huge thank-you to Mew and Pear for making it such a stunning experience. Their skill and care left us completely blissed-out! This part of Koh Samui is quieter, offering a peaceful retreat, but getting around was effortless thanks to the scooter hire shop conveniently located next to the resort’s entry. Their friendly service made exploring the island a breeze. We’re incredibly thankful for an amazing stay and will remember Sala Choengmon Beach for many years to come. It’s an experience we would happily return to again and again!"

"Services were excellent with staff always willing to offer help and care about your needs. The pool in the room was absolutely the best that we have ever been to, which was large enough with jacuzzi function so that we could have fun and enjoy it for a long time. However there were quite a lot of ants around the pool and inside the room, but understood it's becos of the environment near the nature. It's too bad the breakfast place was relocated to Hue and the food quality was okay. Overall it's a fantastic experience for us!"

"All in all, hotel is good. But for this price I recommend you to go to Maldives. Sea is not suitable for swimming, quite dirty and a lot of rocks. Service is quite bad in all restaurants except 2 person: B and, unfortunately, don’t remember a girl’s name who was serving us after check-out in the bar. Also, we were going to next FS property in check out date and wanted a late check-out. How normally it works in real 5* property: you check out around 10 and go to any free villa on island till late check-out (they had free villas that day). And here we needed to wait 2 hours in the bar. Of course, I won’t choose this place again as it’s not you are expected when you know how it normally works in real good property."

"The hotel is located right on Maenam Beach, which is a much quieter beach compared to Chaweng, but still has plenty of places for lunch/dinner, massages, or sunbathing. It's also much cleaner than the beaches on the west coast. We had a deluxe room with a pool view. It was a good size, with new air conditioning, very clean, and had direct access to the indoor pool. The only downside was that the bathroom was split into different areas, with a separate shower. The infinity pool overlooking the beach was lovely, with lots of sun loungers, and the bar and restaurant were good for both food and cocktails. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. They also arrange airport transfers and scooter rentals through an external company. This place is highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet area that still has amenities and isn't too far from the more lively spots."

"Stayed one night here and the location of the hotel was why we chose the hotel in the first place. It had great location to the main street with shops, bars and restaurants all in walking distance from our room. Right by the beach with lounge style sun beds, bar and restaurant beside a small pool area. They also had cool plunge pools. We left early in the morning so didn’t have time to try their breakfast but they had friendly service in the reception from check-in to check-out. Quite simple rooms but with everything you need, lived in attached styled bungalows with the entrance from the resorts garden, with a small terrace which was nice."
