"And in Gaussell, there's such a bad apartment, 645 euros a night 1. No towels 2. No quilt cover 3. The bed cover and pillow cover are disposable or they are turned out in the cabinet. There is no toilet paper. 5. Slippers, shampoo, shower gel, don't even think about it There is a heating in the room that is bad Everyone must be cautious when staying. Don't enter the pit again. The doorway was a road that didn't slip in or out at all."

"Our rooms were rather shabby and not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. Our rooms were in an annex/separate building across the busy main road and not in the main hotel which was not communicated at the time of booking. We booked a ‘family suite’ which consisted of 2 adjoining bedrooms, 1 bathroom and separate toilet, 1 shower room and toilet, and no living room/sitting area. Apparently in France a suite means something different from everywhere else! Communication between staff was poor. Some of the staff were a bit arrogant and couldn’t handle criticism. We would not recommend staying at this hotel with their inflated prices, pretentious attitude and shabby rooms."

"Absolutely fantastic hotel. We booked because of the reviews from repeat guests and we weren't disappointed. India and her team work so hard to make this a fabulous stay. The breakfast was excellent, the bar very cosy and the rooms more than comfy. We enjoyed our stay and Courchevel that much we amended another booking we had for January to return here. Since we booked, they have changed to an all inclusive hotel but have hounoured our booking. We are so grateful and look forward to staying with you soon."

"Excellent hotel with amazing staff. We enjoyed our stay and loved every minute inside the hotel. The hotel is in prime location in COURCHEVEL with ski in and out facilities. The spa was fabulous with the swimming pool. Kids loved kids club and enjoyed the activities with amazing staff julie and Justine. Concierge was extremely professional (Tom, Pierre and julie). We cannot ask for more!"

"Excellent service and great location; just a few steps from the main ski lift and town center. Rooms are nice, spacious and well maintained. The concierge service was top notch and helped us with everything we needed! The spa was also very good. The hotel also has a ski shop that rents the ski equipment and has very friendly and professional staff that helped with the ski prep every day! Definitely recommended!"
Sivolière Hôtel & Résidence
"We stayed at Sivoliere Courchevel for 4 nights in January 2026, as a couple, in a Prestige room. The room was very comfortable, with a beautiful forest view and an excellent level of cleanliness (housekeeping twice a day, which is quite rare nowadays). Very quiet and ideal for relaxing after skiing. The location is very practical: ski-in/ski-out with direct access to a red slope for a few meters until the nearest lift. In addition, the hotel’s van can take you literally anywhere at any time. The village center is about a 10-minute walk, but the shuttle service is so efficient that you hardly need to walk at all. The staff is probably the hotel’s biggest asset. Extremely polite, professional and genuinely caring. I was feeling unwell during our stay and they did everything they could to help (thermometer, transport to a pharmacy, constant follow-up). The restaurant is very good and the breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety and high-quality products. On the downside: the WiFi is quite unstable and often doesn’t work well, which is annoying especially if you need a reliable connection. Also, the spa is just okay, nothing special, and the gym is almost non-existent (very small space, one treadmill, one bike and two dumbbells), which does not match the overall standard of the hotel. Overall, a great experience mainly thanks to the staff, location and food. An excellent choice for a ski holiday with high-level service, but with room for improvement in infrastructure (WiFi & fitness facilities)."

"I stayed for school half term with my wife and three children I have also stayed outside of school holidays with my wife and friends . Apartments are very well specified and spacious. The spa is fabulous with a kind and welcoming team of experts on hand. Hot tub is a little piece of heaven after a days skiing , there is also a sauna, bio sauna and hydro therapy for legs and a wealth of treatments and tasty juices and teas. There is also a fully equipped gym and exercise studio. The building is right beside the village meaning you can walk in less than five minutes to the ski concierge right on the piste or be driven should you choose. The team headed by the expert, kind and professional Stephan and Fares are wonderful. The team who know the villages very well, are on hand to book restaurants, get ski passes or help you with anything as you would expect in a 5 star establishment. Most them are with Six senses year round in other locations and really go the extra mile to assist you. Members such as Carla, Claudia, klaudia, Sotiris and George and others are all great. Adrien runs the ski shop with his great team on the ground floor meaning ski hire is so easy - your skis and boots just show up in the ski concierge. It’s effortless. Nice to have help with your boots and skis at any age ! Should you want to come and stay in 1850 for the weekend with friends of for longer there is no better value than here. The icing on the cake of this place are the people. The management really care as do the team and this makes the place special, highly recommended ."

"This hotel is truly a gem. The food is the highlight! It is absolutely fabulous. Staff are so friendly. We as a family of four adults had the most lovely time. Very short walk 100 metres or the shuttle service to the piste. Ski back across the road. Quiet if door open at night, just out of 1850 main village so if you want late night party you need a lift back. Shuttle works late."

"Just visited the spa ( have been coming here since it opened ) Totally disgusted by the manager Mathieu Petit attitude to my family and my father - we asked to use the facilities at the front desk of the spa and was told no problem - while the whole family was in the jacuzzi we were asked to leave - i am unsure if this man has worked in a service industry but clearly does not understand what hospitality means - apparently they have decided that they no longer allow external guests to use the facilities in the middle of a session - do not visit - this place is is snooty and does not understand service"

"The location of the hotel is very good and the rooms are clean, even though the hotel is worn out. When talking about service everything was awful, the personell from breakfast was very rude and arrogant( one of the bartenders was friendly, the other one screamed at me because i asked for extra honey for my coffee. He said “ i m not payed for this”. The highlight of the trip is that I have developed the worst stomach bug/ infection I have ever had. For 3 days I had the worst feeling in my entire life. I soon found out that on the floor that my room was located everyone was puking and feeling ill (all of us thought is from their breakfast eggs). My parents asked at receptiom for some simple rice and simple food because there were so many people ill. They just said “ it s a viral infection that is lingering in Courchevel and we can t help”- ZERO empathy, Zero help from the staff. It wasn t viral because unfortunately I had to be transported to Alberville hospital because i was heavily dehidrated and the doctors said it s obvious a bacterial infection taking into account my blood tests. I ve never seen so bad service in my life talking into account the price of the hotel and the number of stars. I recommend this place for the location and the terrace/ restaurant behind the hotel for the view/drinks and nothing more, most probably it s the only reason people come here. Ps: i had to buy a water heater and boil myself rice for everyone because they couldn t even do such a little thing for the MANY clients that were very ill om their premice. I hope they learn something in the future taking into ccount the potential that the hotel has."

"I booked Hotel Carlina Courchevel 1850 expecting at least a solid four-star standard, even if not a true five-star experience. Unfortunately, the reality has been disappointing. The rooms are extremely outdated, and the bathrooms feel old and worn. The family room provided for my nanny and children felt unsafe, with low wooden ceilings and steep stairs posing a risk. My own room had a very strong, unpleasant odor that gave me a headache. Management did attempt to offer a room change, which I appreciated. However, I felt uncomfortable with the visible exchange of looks between staff, which came across as judgmental and unprofessional."

Le Saint Joseph
"Really expensive hotel for what it is, unhappy with it. The hotel is really small and in need of modernisation and refurbishment throughout. The bathroom had no proper shower - it had only a handheld shower-head which is so inconvenient and water sprayed everywhere in the bathroom. Completely not the standard of a 5* hotel. Rooms and furniture in need of modernisation, the rooms aren’t really comfortable. Reception area is super small and uncomfortable; it struggles to fit more than two guests and luggage. Reception seating area is in the hotel restaurant as the reception is too small to even fit seats in. This is not a good set-up at all for guests. Spa was really small and old, has very limited facilities. The lounge chairs in the spa were dirty & stained. Breakfast options were average and limited in choice of food. No ski room in the hotel at all - have to leave hotel to walk outside to ski shop. The hotel is NOT a ski-in / ski-out hotel even if they advertise it as one. I visited some other 5* hotels in the area during my stay for tea etc. and service in other hotels were much friendlier and warmer. Completely better than Hotel Le St Joseph. Overall, not the standard of a 5* hotel, more like 3* throughout and there are many better hotels also with better service in Courchevel. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again or recommend to anyone."
