Downtown Boutique Hostel ★★

📍 Ul. Kraljskog Dalmatina 4, Zadar

"The hotel is super well-located in the old town, but be warned, parking is very difficult. The downside of our stay was that we wanted to use the hotel's laundry service to wash our clothes. Two of my t-shirts came back with several stains, as did one pair of shorts."

Hotel Belveder ★★★

📍 Put Veli Brig 20, Pag

"Dined with family of 5 2 of us ordered burgers. 1 burger came cooked and one was pink inside. I told the waiter that my burger was still raw and i will not be eating undercooked pork as well pretty obvious its dangerous and i wouldnt want to spend my holiday with food poisoning. He then tried to tell me “no its fine to eat, everyone serves their burgers like this around here”. My question is how come 1 burger came out cooked and 1 is raw when everyone serves it the same? Then i sent it back obviously when i saw the chef try to re-heat a already cut and built burger to cook it more and the waiter brought it back like he just done a great job. For my suprise the burger was still pink all inside… kitchen laughing, server had no idea where he was at, and they didnt understand why i dont want to eat a raw burger. Obviously they never heard of e. Coli or how food poisoning happens. Being a chef for 10 years definitely makes eating out difficult. Specially when you have chefs that more likely to kill someone than to feed them. Of course no compensation was given even tho the food was taken back as it was brought out as the chef said it was perfectly made. Great job hotel!"

Hotel Pinija ★★★★

📍 55J4+7P, Petrčane V 1 a, Petrcane

"We spent three wonderful and relaxing nights at this hotel. We'd especially like to highlight the excellent and well-trained staff. Their professional hospitality, friendliness, and expertise significantly contributed to making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. The rooms are simply and functionally furnished, yet very clean and well-maintained. Our only criticism is the sliding door to the bathroom and toilet, which didn't close completely and left a relatively large gap. This is a bit inconvenient when two people are sharing the room and should ideally be improved. The hotel's location, nestled in the beautiful pine forest, is extremely pleasant and quiet. Although breakfast naturally had more activity, the hotel never felt overcrowded overall. The buffet was continuously and quickly refilled, ensuring there was always ample selection. The food was genuinely good overall. It was clear that many dishes were prepared in-house. Both the appetizers and main courses were varied, fresh, and delicious. We only see room for improvement with the dessert buffet: many of the cakes offered seemed like pre-made products. Occasionally, there was a cream or another dessert, but more homemade desserts would significantly enhance the culinary offerings. Given what the kitchen is capable of with the other dishes, this would be a great way to take the entire F&B experience a big step forward. The clientele at the hotel was also very pleasant. The sea and the surrounding area are beautiful, and there's a lot on offer for children. The trampoline, playgrounds, snorkeling, and other leisure activities were particularly enjoyable. Overall, it was a very pleasant and successful stay. Many thanks to the management and the entire team for the lovely time and excellent service. We would gladly come again!"

Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Iadera ★★★★★

📍 Resort Punta Skala, Petrcane

"Went with a group and did not know what to expect. We were amazed by the hospitality and friendliness of all the staff. The rooms with sea views are very nice and spacious and we loved the openness of it all, with bathroom integrated in the bedroom. Bed is comfortable and air conditioning working very well, good coffee machine in the room too. Even though the hotel is not close to Zadar, there is plenty to do on the premises. The spa and sports facilities as well as the many pools are amazing. The private beach is looked after very well and has plenty of armchairs, The gardens are beautiful. Restaurants choices are plenty and the quality of food very good. Manager Emanuel will help with each and every issue and beyond. Zadar is only about 13 KMs away and can easily be reached with taxi, Uber or Bold. It is a perfect place to relax and be pampered."

📍 Široka ul. 20, Zadar

"A youth hostel similar to a capsule warehouse. The location is very good. It is right in the center of the city. Zadar is not expensive, but hotels are really expensive. This price is acceptable. It is within a 5-minute walk from the airport bus drop-off point and the day tour meeting point."

Downtown Boutique Hostel ★★
"Located in the old town, transportation is convenient, and the bathroom facilities are quite new. The staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in my room was very weak, it was really too hot. And my bunk was in the corner on the top, which made it impossible to sleep due to the heat. I ended up sleeping in the common room, which was very comfortable with strong AC."

Hotel Belveder ★★★
"We traveled to Croatia—a country we love and return to every year. But this time, we made the mistake of booking this hotel. And that mistake cost us more than just money—it ruined the beginning of our holiday, forced us to leave early, and left us feeling deceived. Here's what we were met with: The elevator didn’t work. At first, the staff said it was working. But when we asked them to try it themselves—nothing happened. Then a janitor was called, who also insisted it worked... until someone asked: “But does it open?” That’s when the truth finally came out: No, it doesn’t actually work. It was as if nobody wanted to take responsibility, and instead they gaslighted both us and each other. They seemed to believe that if they say something works, tastes good, or looks fine—we’re supposed to accept that, even when the reality clearly says otherwise. No air conditioning in the room. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave with two kids, and the AC was completely non-functional. When we brought it up, the response was: “It worked yesterday.” As if that somehow made the unbearable heat more tolerable today? We sat for a long time in the stifling room, sweating, waiting for someone to come fix it—but no solution ever came. Again, the same pattern: avoiding responsibility instead of solving the problem. Their “solution”? We could move to another room for one night, and then move back the next day. This would have meant repacking and relocating twice during a five-day stay, while still not knowing if the issue would come back. It wasn’t a solution—it was a way of pushing the problem forward and hoping we’d settle. No lighting in the bathroom. The bathroom was pitch dark. Their excuse? You guessed it: “It worked yesterday.” We had to use a phone flashlight so our daughter could use the toilet in the dark. The food was awful. We ordered pasta bolognese and “pasta with meat”—both were overcooked, tasted old, and felt like they had been frozen for days. Genuinely unappetizing and impossible to eat. A disgusting smell in the room. Every time we opened the door, we were met by a mix of trash and old fish. Unbearable. The building was falling apart. Everywhere we looked: rusty AC units hanging from each room, cracked walls, rusty railings, decaying facades. Even the hotel’s star rating sign was covered in rust—a sad symbol of the complete lack of care and maintenance. The beaches nearby were among the worst we’ve seen in Croatia. We tried to rebook Due to wildfires in the south, we just wanted to stay for two nights and move on. The hotel claimed ******* doesn’t allow refunds. ******* told us the hotel could refund if they wanted. Guess who “couldn’t do anything”? We gave up Not after several days—but after just a few hours. We had time to check in, suffer through one dreadful meal, go through all the problems—and watch our children get more and more tired, sweaty, and uncomfortable, with nowhere to rest. Instead of starting our holiday peac"

"The hotel was okay, but we had a big problem getting a taxi to the airport. Today (June 4, 2026) was a public holiday and the receptionist couldn't manage it—honestly, he didn't even try"

"Very nice hotel, placed near beautiful beaches facing the sunset. Rooms are modern, large, with really comfortable bed and pillows. It has marvellous Spa and pools area. The buffet was rich with a variery of food, but the table service (bringing menues for the main dish) was too slow and my group supposed that the dinner was just buffet."

"There was absolutely no room for negotiation with the hotel. I booked the wrong room. I tried to negotiate with the hotel, but they refused to communicate and didn't even refund one night's fee. What a terrible hotel!"
