"LUZE Hotel....wow wow wow!! Thank goodness we stumbled on this gorgeous Palace of a hotel in the early evening of 17 September and we were greeted by a gorgeous girl called June. June was so warm, friendly, personable, helpful & very professional. We just felt so special to be at this utterly gorgeous hotel. We checked into our room got changed then went to the hotels fabulous restaurant for a sumptuous dinner. The bar area is really great too with a fireplace! Everything is so inviting. We are always searching for super delicious Michelin star food quality and we're so happy with the freshest delicious gourmet dinner served! Very impressed with the top Chef Iñigo Lavado who is Alain Ducasse trained. Our room was gorgeously decorated with all the mod cons and the most comfortable king size bed ever! Smart TV etc etc. The generous breakfast was outstanding with a large choice of alacarte dishes from sweet fruits & nuts artisan yoghurt & cheeses to eggs Benedict with salmon & avocado or an omelet etc etc with additional numerous sides then followed by croissants & pastries & the best coffee we have had so far in Europe! We booked into the wellness spa after a swim and sunbake in the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the sea and had the spa area totally to ourselves for one hour, what a relaxing treat! Everything AMAZING from sauna to steam room big pool & spa pool ice shower and much much more! LUZE has a first class top notch manager Borja Roldan, running the hotel, we give LUZE a 6 star rating all round for everything which is very unusual for us! Borja was just amazing, super helpful, friendly & very professional. Luze Hotel is like being in another world. A true dream come true for us! Thanks to the whole team you are the BEST! 💝 Brigitte 💃"

"Great location close to the surf beach with plenty of tapas bars nearby. Ideal for discovering Donostia / San Sebastian on foot. It was spotlessly clean. Paulo and his wife were wonderful hosts who could not have been more helpful. They also provided very valuable tips you will not find in any tourist guide. Breakfast bar right across the street. Comfortable bed for a good nights sleep. It takes about 20 minutes walk to the old town - quicker if you are younger"

"I stayed at Axel San Sebastián for a solo trip and was absolutely delighted by the warm hospitality and friendly vibes. My trip started with a bit of a crisis; I left my luggage on an intercity bus and had a restaurant reservation overlapping with the pick-up time. I was quite overwhelmed, but staff member Tanja was a true lifesaver. She went above and beyond to help me arrange the luggage pick-up and even communicated with the restaurant to reschedule my reservation. Thanks to her incredible support, the rest of my stay in Donostia was seamless and wonderful. The hotel itself is neat, modern, and has a very inviting atmosphere with a fabulous, stylish touch. I also thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi. Between the best service I've ever received and the great energy from fellow guests, I’m leaving Donostia with the best memories. Thank you so much, Tanja and the Axel team! 😊"

"I really like this hotel for its unique location on the coast and its modern architecture, which blends in perfectly and creates a peaceful feeling. The rooms are big and offer a high level of comfort and are very quiet. I love the floor-to-ceiling windows and the deck with views of the ocean. Service was perfect and personalized, from the moment I parked my car right in front of the hotel. Food was amazing, especially breakfast! They also have a really cool cocktail bar on the main deck at sunset. The hotel is a good base to explore San Sebastian by car and there is a bus stop right in front. There are also some nice hikes starting from the hotel. The price is on the expensive side, but I would definitely come back for the beauty of the place."

"We stayed six nights in the King Front Box Suite with terrace and the Cupola Suite with terrace. This is a very new hotel and it is beautiful. Everyone on the staff we contacted were all smiles and ready to go out of our way to help us. This great service started before we even arrived. Because of aircraft delays our scheduled transportation was not available when we arrived at the airport 60 miles away from the hotel. We called the hotel and they were pleased to arrange transportation for us even at this late hour. Arriving after midnight they went out of their way to welcome us with smiles and we are happy you are here. Both suites were spotless and well appointed. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning and the service was friendly and had a very nice menu. There is a very comfortable bar is the lobby with friendly service and a nice selection of drinks. You can also order different foods from the bar. The front desk staff were friendly and willing to help with anything we required. They called taxis for us, made recommendations for restaurants, and took care of our luggage upon arrival and departure. Even though this was festival week and the hotel was fully booked they provided personal service to all five of us at all times. This personal service was highlighted after we checked out. When we arrived at the airport 60 miles away from the hotel we discovered one of our party had left their passport in the room safe at the hotel. We called the hotel and they were able to retrieve the passport and arrange transport of it to us. This is outstanding service with a can do attitude that we found from all the staff during our stay. We highly recommend this hotel."
