Sleeping Bear Hotel Dorchester ★★★
"The staff were very helpful. They helped me to bring the heavy luggage upstairs no matter check-in and check-out. The reception ladies were cheerful and very nice. I will come again and recommend to my friends."

"Had an amazing time away here at Dorchester Premier Inn. Checked in by Kayleigh who was very attentive and helped myself with the whole check-in process. Had an amazing breakfast here! Will definitely be checking in again! 5 stars!"
Bay Tree House ★★★★
"Friendly Host Great Location"
The Old Ship Inn ★★★
"We attempted to stay here for the night a few weeks ago. We are a family of four and a Dog. I was asked to pay for the room before being given the key to the room. At this point I was also informed that the chef was on Holliday so there was no food available. When we got to the room we find that for our £140 we didn’t even have an en-suite bathroom. We presumably had the unlocked (Not Very Private) toilet that was over the hall way from our room. On finding this out I immediately went back downstairs to try and resolve the issue and ask whether there was another room available as this was not suitable for us. The lady behind the bar did give me the keys to another room however on inspection the room was full of personal belongings. I immediately returned back downstairs without even fully entering into the room as I felt embarrassed. The lady did attempted to call the landlord who was not on the premises and could not be contacted. I explained that this was just not suitable and unacceptable. My wife was so upset that she began to have a panic attack. I asked for a refund to my card and told the bar maid that we would find somewhere else to stay for the night. The woman behind the bar was very nice and apologetic but said that she couldn’t do refunds as she didn’t have that option but promised me that it wouldn’t be a problem the landlord was a genuine guy and we would definitely get a refund. My only comfort is that I used my credit card to pay for the room. Hopefully the credit card company will have a better chance of getting us a refund than I have up to now. Three weeks later and multiple conversations with Martin the manager to sort the issue out still no response. As an added note there is no where to park we had unload on double yellows and it’s apparently a seven min walk to the nearest pay and display. There was one parking space but the car occupying the space looked suspiciously like it may have been the landlords car. This had been explained when booking but it may make you think again before booking."
The Duchess of Cornwall ★★★★
"The rooms in this hotel are clean and tidy. The hotel staff are warm and friendly, and their service is meticulous and patient. They helped me solve many problems. Although the hotel is not in the center of Dorchester, the surrounding facilities are relatively complete and parking is very convenient."
The Frampton Arms
George Albert Hotel & Spa ★★★
"Very friendly staff, beautiful hotel. Everyone was very welcoming."
The Oak at Dewlish ★★★
"I had the most amazing lunch presented on a slate platter, a steak finely cooked, cut and laid out on the platter with fresh salad. The asian sauce complimented the meal. spot on ! and I do hope this chef stays to continue his top class recipies. I shall certainly be back with the family for more. Well done The Oak at Dewlish."

The Countryman Inn
"Great place where to stay. The breakfast was alright. The room was clean though quite a few spider webs by the ceiling window. The pole that we had in the room to open the window was not easy to use and I think was faulty, I’d advise to replace it. Overall a good stay. The location is good too. A lovely garden which we were lucky enough (due to the good weather) able to use."
Barton Cottage Bed and Breakfast
Hardy View Farm House
The Greyhound Inn
The New Inn
"We arrived for our overnight stay to be greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. After having a couple of good local beers and ciders in the bar we were shown to our room which was full of character with a lovely modern shower room. Our evening meal was delicious, again with great service from the staff, and it was good to see the suppliers listed up on the wall to show where the food had come from. Very enjoyable stay in a lovely part of the country. Highly recommend!"
The Old Coach House in Dorset's Area of Outstanding Beauty - 1 bedroom
The Casterbridge
"I stayed over night on a trip to meet mates from the military. The hotel is easy to find and car parking nearby. Check in / out was easy. Service was friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. My only observations would be it needs a bit of loving care in places and breakfast has a fast deadline 8.30 to 9.30 only. But overall it’s great"
