"Excellent location. A bit small, but perfectly fine for two people. Wonderful view."

Les Tilleuls Etretat
9.1 (40 reviews)

Les Tilleuls Etretat ★★★★

📍 45 Rue Isabey, Etretat

"The hotel is a private residence located in the town center, with private parking. It's very conveniently located within walking distance of surrounding attractions. The garden is tranquil, the interior is beautifully decorated, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious with balconies. Cleanliness is impeccable, and there is ample storage space. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming, and their culinary skills are superb; dinner and breakfast are both exquisite and delicious. Ideal for couples or small families for a short stay."

La Villa 10 HÔTEL Spa ★★★

Domaine Saint Clair le Donjon

Domaine Saint Clair le Donjon ★★★★

📍 Chem. de Saint-Clair, Etretat

"The hotel is a little over 10 minutes' walk from both the bus station and the town's visitor center. Elephant Trunk Hill is a 30-minute walk away or accessible by the sightseeing train from the visitor center. The spacious double room I booked offers views of the mother elephant and the town's architecture from its small balcony, with particularly beautiful scenery in the early morning and evening on clear days. The room features Chinese-style décor and furnishings, a large triangular whirlpool tub, and a shower. Air conditioning may not be available, but there are two large heated seats. The Michelin-starred restaurant's exterior is covered in greenery, and the walls and chair backs are decorated with Picasso-style paintings. Guests may enjoy complimentary afternoon tea."

Hotel la Résidence Manoir de la Salamandre
7.2 (51 reviews)

Hotel la Résidence Manoir de la Salamandre

📍 4 Bd Président René Coty, Etretat

"An endless wait that ended with a sandwich at the local bakery. Arriving at 12:30 and seeing that the place wasn't full, we thought we'd eat quickly. As a result, we each had a cold starter that arrived after 45 minutes, and after 1.5 hours, the plates weren't cleared and the dishes "forgot to be thrown." We left the place at 2:00 p.m. Without any apologies for the inconvenience."

Hotel d'Angleterre Etretat

Hotel d'Angleterre Etretat

📍 35 Av. George V, Etretat

"Incredibly charming hotel in a fantastic location. Small personable room, with a lovely view. No elevator but the charming proprietor carried one of our bags up to the room - a lovely gentleman whose dinner suggestion was superb! The one thing we would change? The pillows, too hard!"

New Windsor ★★

📍 9 Av. George V, Etretat

"Horrible experience with hundreds of bedbugs biting you at night. Avoid at all costs! The owner took no action. I will never return. Ferocious bedbug bites from the infested sheets, pillows, mattress, and everywhere else in the room—floor and fabrics. My stay was ruined. I was forced to leave in the middle of the night, freezing with a suitcase and no idea where to go. The parking lot is very far away and inaccessible between 8 pm and 8 am. A disgrace to the otherwise charming town of Étretat. Absolutely avoid this place in its current state. It's overrated on ***********, which is incomprehensible..."

Normandy Etretat

Normandy Etretat ★★★★

📍 23 Rue Guy de Maupassant, Etretat

"A wonderful hotel! It's very beautiful, spacious, has everything you need, including a coffee machine with capsules and beautiful dishes. It has a comfortable bed and a cute little house. It's located right by the bus stop, very convenient. The owner surprisingly spoke Russian. If you arrive before check-in, please contact the hotel. Check-in instructions are automatically sent at 4:00 PM. I arrived around 1:00 PM, and no one was home. It didn't matter to me, so I went for a walk. The owner texted me that a room was available and that he could meet me. I finally checked in around 3:00 PM."

Hotel des Falaises
"Do NOT stay here under any circumstances, unless you want to live in a dirty, dusty, small, inconvenient place with rude, ill-mannered, and insolent staff. Our first encounter with the staff began with them actively gesticulating, indicating that we had arrived early and should check the time. They didn't even bother to greet us back. We wanted to pay for early check-in, but after such rude and disgusting treatment, we only wanted to cancel the reservation. We returned at 3:40 PM, but had to wait until 4:00 PM because our room wasn't ready. Again, there was no apology, even though this was already our paid stay time. The staff is rude, the walls are thin – you can hear all the other guests (how they open and close doors, their conversations, and how they walk around). The breakfast food is not tasty. We were simply informed that we had to pay for breakfast. We paid because we didn't know the language, and the staff refused to use a translator. Breakfast consisted of coffee, 1 croissant, 1/2 baguette, and 1 yogurt. You could also get Brie cheese, muesli, and juice. But it's not enough to feel full. The window wouldn't open when we checked in, so they asked us to leave (though we were planning to go out anyway), and then, after they fixed it, it wouldn't stay open. It was completely useless. To keep the window open, I guess you'd have to hold it by hand and sleep standing up. I have visited over 40 hotels, but this is the first time I've seen something like this. I hope this place changes its attitude towards guests or closes down."

Hotel le Rayon Vert ★★★
"The location is everything, right in front of the beach. Love the theme of Jules Vernes (name of hotel) and Arsène Lupin which resonated in the rooms. Both of whom had strong associations with Étretat. The building has a very iconic façade. We had a village-facing room as the sea-facing ones were not available during booking but it had also a pretty decent view. Coffee provided at the hallway at one's disposal. Tea in the room. No AC, so very warm and stuffy at night, could hardly sleep. Wouldn't recommend opening the windows cos of mozzies. Breakfast spread was generous and delicious. Huge croissants! Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"We stayed there for 2 nights. The bathroom was shared with other rooms, and the shower wasn't very clean. The place is quite poorly insulated: children were running around in the hallways and stairs, which prevented us from sleeping past 7:00 a.m. However, the proximity to the center and the beach are pleasant. In summary: a little expensive for the quality offered, but it's still okay."

Hotel d'Angleterre Etretat
"It's a renovated old building in a good location, about 5-6 minutes from the beach. The rooms are small, as are the bathrooms. There's no elevator, just a narrow staircase, which can be inconvenient if you have luggage. At over 180 euros a night, breakfast isn't included, and the amenities are extremely basic. It's not good value for money."

"We had the most disgusting hotel experience in this hotel. They have bed bugs and we got bitten by bed bugs 1 hour after checkin to our room. And we found 2 big gross beg bugs in their bed and I collected them and showed it to the owner. At that time he acted surprised and said we never had a problem like this. We couldnt stay there any longer and we had to leave that disgusting hotel. The manager he said he will refund my fee within few days after. So we had to cut our trip short and came back with bed bug bites all over me and my husbands body. After I tried to contact them by the booking site and they didnt answer so I had to call the hotel and the same guy(owner) answered and refused to refund my fee which I paid for nothing. And he tlaked very rudely and unproffesionally and now accused us for bringing bed bugs to their filthy hotel. I mentioned him that they had a aame problem few months ago because I saw another reveiw saying the same bed bug problem. And he lied and said it was not their problem. The bathroom is broken. Bath is leaking and toilet doesnt flush. But the owner acts like they have nothing wrong in their rooms and accousing their clients for false reasons. This is the worst hotel customer service I have ever had and service is the worst. It is a big scam their doing without refunding our fees even after they saw the proof of what I accused them. Noisy room without blckout curtains was a big point 0 for us. So I would reccomend to look for other hotels and avoid this unprofessional place at any cost. And beaware of not getting any refunds from them after they steal and ruin your nice vacation."
