First impressions - Exterior and lobby: Modern, clean, and uncluttered. The lobby feels calm, not trying too hard to impress you, which is nice after a long train ride. The check-in process was smooth, with staff who spoke enough English to help, but not so much that you felt talked down to. - Location: Pretty convenient depending on what you’re here for. It isn’t in the center of Xiangyang’s busiest streets, but you’re within a comfortable walk or short ride to key spots, plus there are eateries nearby that aren’t overhyped tourist traps. Room and comfort - The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board. - Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking. - Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. The concert was electric with thousands of people singing along! Her float performance showed how much she spoils her fans! After the concert, the crowd dispersed quickly, and all the staff did an excellent job! The hotel claims to be the tallest in Xiangyang, and it was indeed comfortable and clean. There were even welcome fruits, truly making me feel the warmth of the Xiangyang people! I left in a hurry this time, but I'll definitely be back! Honestly, the hotel breakfast was quite average, though everything else was excellent, there's still room for improvement. I hope Xiangyang continues to thrive! And Angela Chang too. I thought I might run into her at the hotel, but I missed her. No worries, we'll meet again if it's meant to be.
