GGingermasionThe biggest pros are its beautiful surroundings and spacious rooms, though they can be a bit dim, and the water pressure is quite low. The pool is very comfortable, and the staff by the pool were the friendliest. We opted for the half-board package, which included a buffet breakfast. For dinner, you could choose from any of the hotel's five or six restaurants, with a credit of 72 Euros per person for ordering à la carte (drinks not included; you pay for anything over the limit). The breakfast wasn't particularly varied, but the beachfront restaurant's dinner was surprisingly good, with stunning sunset views. If you plan to dine there, you absolutely, absolutely, absolutely must book in advance.
There's basically nothing around the hotel, though there's a small town with dining options less than a 10-minute taxi ride away (we didn't visit). A taxi to Playa de las Américas costs around 30 Euros. This hotel is best for just relaxing and vacationing on-site. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to its own beach.
Overall, the hotel stands out for its distinctive exterior and decent restaurant food. However, for an island resort at this price point, everything else was pretty average.
