Bergen Hotels with Gym

Loved that the staff were nice and helpful. breakfast was lovely and a good spread. The hotel was conveniently located and we could almost walk everywhere. Parking was quite close but I would recommend to drop off your luggage before driving to the parking as walking on cobblestone floors in the rain is definitely an experience of its own. Parking is expensive and not included in the hotel but well it’s in the city centre so I wouldn’t expect anything less. The hotel staff also helped us to store our luggage when we went out on our activities for the day. We stayed here twice! It was only lacking some amenities that I was used to like toothbrushes, slippers, bathrobes and shower caps but the rest were provided

The most impressive thing is the breakfast they provided. Various kinds of food, you can have some hot plates and pancakes with drinks there. My family and I enjoyed it a lot. The location is great too and next to the beautiful Bryggen. Bergen city centre is walkable, you can just walk from the hotel to anywhere like fish market, bergen station and the famous mountains nearby. The least convenience is the bathtub. It's quite high, so for those who is not that tall need to be careful while entering. And the glass cover at bathtub only covers half, water easily spills on the floor. Overall it's a really nice hotel and worthwhile to stay.

Wonderful hotel, centrally located, staff very helpful. Clean and comfortable . Included meals , breakfast, afternoon tea and dinnner are outstanding value. Heaps of choices and sufficient quantities. Highly recommend. Gave a 4 for amenities, only because the conditioner needed to be refilled and the sauna was not accessible the day I was there, very minor issues.

Hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade after knowing we were travelling for honeymoon! They also provided complimentary champagne and macarons, definitely a nice gesture! Room was very spacious and clean, we love it!

The room had a window and two twin beds pushed together. It wasn't large, but that's pretty standard for Europe and can't really be compared to hotels in China. The highlight was definitely the breakfast – it was incredibly rich and had a great variety of fruits like apples, pears, watermelon, and plums. Dinner and breakfast were served in the same place. Dinner was a bit pricey but absolutely delicious. We ended up eating there two nights and everything we ordered was fantastic, no duds at all. Tip: When dining here, they ask you to choose a tip percentage (5%, 10%, 15%, or skip) before you even get to the payment screen. The first time, I chose 15%, and the second time, 10%. I noticed other restaurants did this as well. The three dishes pictured were excellent; I didn't get photos of the others.

(Stayed for 4 nights in August 2026) Location: Perfect for sightseeing. The only good thing was the location. Cleanliness: The room wasn't properly cleaned after check-in. Facilities: I knew it would be small, but the room (and bathroom) was too cramped. The lobby, breakfast area, and the building itself had good design and were clean. The fitness center was poorly equipped with only one treadmill. There was no elevator to the underground parking garage. Breakfast: Limited variety, but a decent selection. However, the menu was exactly the same for all 4 nights. Staff & Service: The reception and breakfast staff were friendly and provided good service. The housekeeping service was not good. I'm curious if rooms aren't cleaned daily for consecutive nights, and this is the first hotel I've seen that starts cleaning at 8:30 AM.

We had a wonderful stay at Scandic Ørnen and were very impressed with the service. We were able to check in early without any problems, which was especially convenient after our journey. Later, some friends joined us for a sailing trip, and even though we had already checked out, the hotel kindly provided us with a separate room where we could store all our luggage for our group of nine people. This was incredibly helpful and very much appreciated! The hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre, yet it is quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Another big advantage is the easy access from the airport: the airport bus stops right by the hotel, so you simply cross the road and you are there. We would definitely stay at Scandic Ørnen again and highly recommend it!

The hotel has a great location, right near the pier. Although the exterior is European-style architecture, the rooms are modern and simple. The rooms are spacious enough to easily accommodate two large suitcases. Room cleaning was very prompt. The restaurant is indeed beautiful, and the breakfast is quite plentiful. The staff are all warm and attentive. Parking was done in the hotel's recommended parking lot for over 47 hours, costing 467 kronor. I don't know about any discounts, just for your reference.

I booked this hotel about two months ago. Since I had consecutive nights but only needed breakfast on some days, I made separate reservations for each. It was very convenient for me, being close to the ferry terminal from Flåm, a supermarket, and Bryggen. The website stated check-in was at 4 PM, but I was able to check in a little after 3 PM. However, the person at the front desk during check-in seemed annoyed. When I asked about my luggage that I had dropped off earlier, they asked, 'Which room was it stored in?' Since I had only been assigned one room, I responded by asking, 'Which rooms are available?' They then unhappily directed me. There were about 5-6 people waiting to check in, and only two staff members were handling it. It's a shame, especially since the person who stored my luggage before check-in and the person who helped me with an inquiry after check-in were both perfectly professional. My room number had four digits, and it felt like it was in a separate annex, accessible via a staircase. Although there was a wheelchair lift, it felt more like a different hotel entirely. While it was technically a courtyard view, from my window, it was essentially a parking lot view at the same height, meaning I couldn't keep the curtains open. I really hope everyone else gets a room with a three-digit number. The breakfast, though, was excellent. There was a wide variety of breads and vegetables, gluten-free options, and even a live omelet station. It was definitely worth adding breakfast to my stay. I haven't factored the breakfast quality into my overall rating.

The hotel boasts a great location, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a slightly older feel. There are many restaurants nearby, including the popular EGON restaurant, and the Bergen Fish Market is right across the street, making shopping convenient. The cable car is a 5-minute walk away, and Bergen train station is about a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel breakfast is plentiful, and if you prefer not to order outside, the hotel also offers complimentary dinner and afternoon tea. However, dinner is rather simple. We stayed at the hotel for four days, and one rainy day we ate dinner there, which was excellent.
