Amazing
GGuest UserLocated perfectly near Kyoto-Kawaramachi, this hostel can offer top service in every aspect: staff is very welcome and friendly, everyone speak great English and everything is clean. They have male and women only floors and also one that is a mix for everybody. Each guest is offered a locker that can fit a 203cm luggage and can keep your extra bags. Capsule itself is extremely spacious, as a 182cm male I could sit up properly in my space and still have room above me. Ventilation is okay and power sockets as well as good lightning are included. Toilets and showers are very well cleaned and maintained. Each day you are given a new set of towels and slippers, which is very nice. Guests here were well mannered and friendly.
Overall I can say with confidence that this is a very good place to stay in Kyoto, totally recommend!
P.S.: Gion is located nearby so that is also a plus. Note that this is not ”party” hostel

Amazing
CcqwzljrI really like this place. It’s my first time to travel to Japan alone. I stayed in Osaka the night before, and I stayed here when I came to Kyoto. I saw it recommended by others before, even though my Japanese is very poor. Fortunately, I can communicate in English. The lady who checked me in was very patient and took me inside to explain the area to me. When I checked out in the morning, my uncle was very enthusiastic and even called the dog out. I was actually completely I booked this hotel because I was attracted by dogs... I was so pleasantly surprised, and then I successfully took a photo with the dog! (It was resting when I came the night before. It had its own name, but I forgot it😂) I really like it, and there is a path nearby where you can walk to Kiyomizudera Temple. There are few people at night and the scenery is beautiful. It is really a special time. An unforgettable and wonderful experience! Thank you to everyone I met!

Great
LLim Hock BengThe environment and surrounding makes you feel super comfortable.
Sadly, I only stay 1 night but will definitely come back on my next trip to Kyoto, Thanks…
GGuest UserKyoto was the main stop on this trip, so I had high expectations for this hotel in Omiya. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto's most prosperous Shijo shopping street, which isn't too close, but still very convenient. There are bus stops and subway stations nearby, so getting around is still very convenient. However, if you want to avoid walking, it's best to book a room in Shijo. There's free housekeeping once every three nights, but we didn't tell the front desk before 8 p.m. one night in advance, so we didn't use it. The toothbrush was very difficult to use, much worse than the hotel in Nagoya.

Very Good
MMelany JiangThe room was very clean. The Japanese-style single room facing the street was quite noisy, so on the second day, I paid the difference to switch to a family room, which was very quiet. Across from the hotel is a large supermarket, which makes shopping very convenient. The room comes with a kitchen, and there are pots, pans, and dishes available, so you can cook your own meals. If there are two or more people, I recommend choosing the family room. If you're traveling alone, I suggest not staying at this hotel, as the Japanese-style single room faces the street and the traffic at night is really loud.
GGuest UserIt's similar to a Japanese economy hotel. It's quite small. It's very close to JR Nijo Station, and you can see it when you get out of the station. It is also very close to the subway station. There is a bakery, restaurant, and convenience store at the door, which is super convenient. This station is also beautiful, with cherry trees at the entrance of the station. Close to Nijo Castle, about 10 minutes on foot to Nijo Castle.

GGuest UserFor the price, it's pretty good. However, the bathrooms are consistently too small and too few, leading to frequent disputes over use. There was even a male guest who used the women's restroom. The kitchen appliances are fully equipped.

Very Good
GGuest UserLocation not the best and can find nearer to Kyoto station with same price. The location only good to go Nijojo castle, Toji Temple & Ginkako temple. Nothing much nearby, no night bars only a restaurant opposite it.
The worst was no lift, for a female with 20 kg luggage, I have to carry it for 4 levels up and down all by myself. It’s understandable no space to install lift, but pls consider to install a luggage travel lift.
Layout of the room is very good especially bath and toilet inside the room. Some may not like it cause ppl may back late night to bath and make noises. But I do like the single room layout with small dress up table before the capsule bed.

Good
GGuest UserMy mother and I had a very comfy stay at this traditional Kyoto home in a residential area (FYI, the private rooms are on the upper floor. The staircase will be very treacherous.) The team was great and explained everything in detail. I appreciated that they took my mother's suitcase up as I followed behind. I liked the local neighborhood feeling compared to the buzzy central area, but you will need to take a bus from across the street to get anywhere before hopping on any train. Btw there was no shortage of places to eat in the neighborhood. (The 93 bus is convenient from the hostel because it will drop you off at the entrance of the Arashiyama bamboo grove.) I would stay at this location again.

GGuest UserThe place has an excelente location, easy to get there. The room was cleaned and organized. However, there is no person at the front desk to ask questions or ask for help. The code for entering to the room was sent by SMS, but since we were traveling the service for SMS of our phone company does not work outside our country, so we did not receive the message since we were traveling. They do not have an e-mail address, so the check in instructions could not be send there. When we arrived to the place was late and we found the front desk empty even though we still arrived in the front desk service hours. We had a hard time contacting the hotel but luckily could get some help in calling the administration to get our room number and the code.
