Set in a secret garden at the heart of a forest, Aman Kyoto lies at the foot of Mount Hidari Daimonji. The resort’s latticed guest rooms pay contemporary homage to the traditional Japanese ryokan inn, each framing spectacular natural surroundings. The changing seasons offer views of lush green maple leaves in early summer and stunning autumn foliage. Dining options include innovative cuisine that captures the essence of the seasons, as well as an exquisite omakase kaiseki, reflecting the artistry of Japanese culinary tradition. Aman Spa, with its mineral-rich natural hot springs, provides a deeply relaxing experience while forest bathing walks and meditation amidst serene natural beauty offer a profound connection with nature. Located just a stone’s throw from Kyoto’s golden Kinkaku-ji Temple and 16 other UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Aman Kyoto is ideally situated to explore the cultural treasures of this ancient city.

It was a very good stay. I walked around with the tour guide and deeply experienced the philosophy of light and shadow in the garden. One day of dinner was Japanese Kaiseki and the other day was Aman restaurant, each with its own characteristics. It was a pity that I didn't meet Chef Takagi again for Japanese Kaiseki (I met him in his hometown Zeniya a few years ago). It is a recommended hotel, and it is also one of the Aman hotels with Japanese Kyoto characteristics.

The decoration of the hotel is taken to the extreme
Six Senses was originally a Zen hotel.
It seems more integrated in Kyoto
Six Senses Kyoto is one of the few international Six Senses without natural landscapes.
It can be seen that he wants to make up for the shortcomings with refinement.
It's so small that even a doorstop and a trash can are the work of foreign designers.
Every corner is full of details and every corner is full of surprises
The restaurant’s ingredients are also made from the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season.
In addition to a la carte breakfast, the hotel also has buffets.
Every dish is made with great care and delicious.
After check-out, a taxi will be sent to Kyoto Station.
95% of the hotel’s visitors are European and American tourists
Moreover, the number of rooms is small and there are not many people using the facilities. The experience is great. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Hotel the Mitsui. Super nice and zen design . Absolutely adore their lobby area, which I think is designed by Andre Fu. Always drawn into his work somehow.
Breakfast food was okay, but the view really made up everything l. Super relaxing & beautiful
Service was great. Most of them were able to speak English proficiently.
There’s a thermal spring at their basement, which you have to call the reception before you go to ensure there’s enough space. Everything was well prepared, including swimwear, disposable underpants, towels, water, etc. Since they control the # of people, everyone has their own space and it still feels very private.
Room is nice with many details. Love their huge selection of pillows available for guests. It’s not huge, but the space is well used.
Location wise, I wouldn’t say it’s the most convenient, but if you take a cab, everything is reachable in 20 mins max, so it’s not too bad. There are still good restaurants and touristy places to go that are in walkable distance, so it’s not middle of nowhere.
Overall, fantastic experience which I will recommend for others!

Fortunately, I stayed at the famous Park Hyatt Kyoto 701. When checking in at the lobby, the service staff knelt down to serve throughout the whole process. I could enjoy sake, champagne, etc. at the same time. It happened to be a guqin performance at 5 o'clock. The whole check-in experience was smooth and full of senses. When I entered the room and the service staff opened the window, I was intoxicated by the real scene even if I had watched many videos before. During my stay, I saw the red leaves of the ancient pagoda and even the rainbow in the early morning, which was poetic and picturesque.
The room supplies are basically the same as other Park Hyatts around the world, and there is no merit or demerit. The breakfast on the second day was mediocre because I had tried the breakfast at Kyoto Yamato before, so I chose Western style this time. The buffet had Chinese buns and rice dumplings, which were quite authentic. The dishes ordered were also amazing, and the udon noodles were delicious. At the breakfast location, you can see the comings and goings of people in Ninenzaka, and even feel that you are part of the street.
A small complaint is: there seems to be an exhaust vent for the heating system under room 701. There will be intermittent white smoke floating in the autumn and winter. When the smoke is heavy, it affects the viewing experience. If you want to take pictures, you have to wait for a while. I hope the hotel can make adjustments in the future.

I am really satisfied with this hotel! I chatted with my friend before and felt that Hyatt Hotel was too expensive. She said that Qingshui Qinglong was also good. I decided to give it a try and was really satisfied!
First of all, the road leading to Qingshui Temple can be driven for a while, and the other part can only be walked. This hotel is just at that intersection. The location is really impeccable.
Then although this hotel is in the most popular tourist area, it is completely quiet in the bustling area. It feels like meeting love around the corner. When you look up, you can see Yasaka Pagoda.
Then the hotel's service, facilities, and bedding are all very satisfactory. The only flaw is the breakfast, which is in line with Japanese efficiency. I have been waiting for a long time. Then I chose the Japanese soup pot, but I was not full at all. I had to add rice twice in a row and finished the rice with the soup base.
The Kasui-en (The Westin Miyako Kyoto) provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Kasui-en (The Westin Miyako Kyoto) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Kyoto. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Kyoto hotel can make use of the parking facilities. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.

An old waiter in the hotel was not very friendly to guests. The room I arranged for the first night was very small. Although the facilities in the room were good, the layout was unreasonable and it was not comfortable to stay in.
I would like to give a 5-point praise to Ctrip. I told Ctrip that the room was too small and it was not the room in the picture I booked. Ctrip actively contacted the hotel and changed to a satisfactory room the next day. They also paid for the extra bed as compensation. After-sales service is still guaranteed.

An almost impeccable hotel.
There are not too many dishes in the breakfast buffet plus a la carte, but they are all unique dishes. The breakfast waiters were very enthusiastic.
The hotel environment is very good and quiet. There are eight types of pillows to choose from. The room attendant brought many pillows for me to choose from.
The room cleaning is also very professional and enthusiastic.
The concierge was very attentive and helped us confirm our destination with the driver.
Like the room facilities very much.
The gym is the best facility I've ever stayed in at a hotel.
It has the smell of camphor wood.
Every detail of the hotel is attended by enthusiastic waiters.
I like Kyoto because of the four seasons and will come again next time.
All waiters are very professional.

The hotel is nested in a quiet corner, within walking distance of Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho. Im however a bit disappointed with the limited facilites it offered when compared to the price we paid.
We stayed in the Tsukinone Twin Room which is on the third floor of the building. The view is pleasant. The room is of decent size. Yet there were no public onsens. We need to pay YEN5000 for 45 minutes and there are only 2 private onsens.
For more luxurious rooms with private onsen, the one I visited was on the ground level with no views as it were by the pathway to the reception , separated by wooden planks.
We paid around Yen5000 for the breakfast in the hotel, Both western and japanese breakfasts were offered. We tried both. It is of standard. The 4 different juices presented on the top of the bento box was impressive.
The vaccinity is pleasant. We could walk to the train station, the tourist rown area , the nearby parks and the world heritage sites. Nice area .

Stayed for 4 nights, the overall experience was great!
First of all, before check-in, the hotel team set up a WeChat group to understand our check-in needs, and provided Kyoto tour and dining suggestions. They also helped us book some very good restaurants and gave us many practical tour suggestions;
During check-in, the team's 24-hour WeChat group standby was very considerate and timely to meet our various needs during our stay!
Room experience: The room design is advanced, and it can be seen that the hotel has spent a lot of thought on hard and soft furnishings, taking into account both aesthetic expression and various life functions, making our stay very comfortable. The room is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, coffee machine, induction cooker and kitchen island. The single room area is more than 60 square meters, and it also has a tea break terrace, which is very suitable for family long-term travel.
The geographical location is also very advantageous. The bus station and subway station are within 5 minutes of walking, and it is 3 stops away from the bustling area of Kyoto. Convenience stores and delicious restaurants are all within 7-10 minutes of walking. In front of the hotel is the Kamo River Jumping Stone. My daughter goes to the Kamo River to play in the water every morning. In general, the geographical location is excellent and impeccable. The staff is very high-quality and considerate. Without exception, they can serve us from the perspective of guests, making us feel at ease like going home. This hotel has indeed become our home in Kyoto!
Next time I go to Kyoto, I will experience another hotel under the same brand. I am looking forward to it! Thank you Kamo Residences By reflections! Thx all! See you next time~

Facilities: The restaurant is not as good as before. The management is quite chaotic and the food is not delicious.
Hygiene: Overall it is clean and tidy, which is basically the standard in Japan.
Environment: Very beautiful Japanese garden style, the hotel is not high, but very quiet.
Service: I really have to complain about this, it’s really not as good as before. Even if I checked in on my birthday, the hotel didn't even have a card, candy or cake. There is a small cake even on the plane, and the bank even knows to send a blessing message.
This is my second stay, but I will probably stay at another hotel in the future. Because at this price, the food is not as good as before and the service is not as good as before. I feel it is not worth it.
