"The facilities and service are excellent, top-notch. However, the hotel doesn't offer much of a view; it feels a bit enclosed in its design."

"The hotel met my expectations. The Four Seasons Hotel did a great job in every aspect. They helped me call a taxi quickly and carefully. A few points: I called the hotel before check-in and was told for two consecutive days that there were no Chinese-speaking staff. On the day of check-in, one of the rooms had the air conditioning turned on beforehand, so it was very hot."
The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto sits on the banks of the Kamogawa River—a site favored by Japanese nobility since the 17th century—offering sweeping views of the magical Higashiyama Mountains. This urban resort features 134 guest rooms and suites with distinctive Japanese motifs, four restaurants and bars, authentic Japanese cuisine, and a spa for the ultimate rejuvenation.
"The hotel is in a great location, with the Kamogawa River just outside the window, and a panoramic view of the cherry blossoms along the river. The Mizuki is especially delicious, and we were not satisfied even after two dinners in a row. The service and hygiene are impeccable, and except for the higher prices during the cherry blossom season, there is really no complaint."

"I am from Yangzhou, Jiangsu. Although Yangzhou is a garden city, there are many such style escape hotels in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, Hongxi Noya of Hoshino Group is definitely worth living. The overall health is very good, the facilities are well maintained and there is no musty smell. That is, all the windows can be wiped clean. This time I checked in in the evening. When I took a taxi, I saw the sunset of Lushan, which was a value-added item. The reception staff was very polite and welcoming. At night, the girl was invited to drive us to the hotel entrance. This road was too standard, almost standing on the mountain, and there was a feeling of adventure. When I checked out, I felt the ship of Hoshino. By the way, I recommend the dyeing workshop and Zhai Pavilion are diagonally opposite. If you like the scenery, it is worth seeing."

"Everything was superb with the one exception, for an onsen hotel that have one of the selling point, in room onsen bath, the water was just regular hot water, why would I need to stay at an onsen hotel with in room onsen bath if any bathtub with hot water would do? Trip.com site did not specify that it wasn’t hot spring water. But luckily there was a better room with actual hot spring water supplied to the room available for upgrade, so I spent the extra to make my stay absolutely perfectly memorable."

"Not a 5 stars standard hotel. Sekki restaurant’s services are bad especially the Japanese girl & the chef lacked proper hygiene and did not wear a mask while going in and out of the kitchen, which made us feel very uncomfortable."

"The hotel is nested in a quiet corner, within walking distance of Sagaogurayama Tabuchiyamacho. Im however a bit disappointed with the limited facilites it offered when compared to the price we paid.
We stayed in the Tsukinone Twin Room which is on the third floor of the building. The view is pleasant. The room is of decent size. Yet there were no public onsens. We need to pay YEN5000 for 45 minutes and there are only 2 private onsens.
For more luxurious rooms with private onsen, the one I visited was on the ground level with no views as it were by the pathway to the reception , separated by wooden planks.
We paid around Yen5000 for the breakfast in the hotel, Both western and japanese breakfasts were offered. We tried both. It is of standard. The 4 different juices presented on the top of the bento box was impressive.
The vaccinity is pleasant. We could walk to the train station, the tourist rown area , the nearby parks and the world heritage sites. Nice area ."

Amazing
LLiujingyanWe chose a large corner room with windows on both sides. The hotel building has a history of more than 200 years. The location is great. It is right at the entrance of Kiyomizu Temple Commercial Street. It is quiet in the bustling city. The hotel is very quiet and elegant, with high-end decoration, complete facilities and excellent service!
Breakfast is served in a library-style restaurant, which is very special. I highly recommend Japanese breakfast. Everyone thinks it is high-end Japanese cuisine when they post it on WeChat Moments. There are also vegetarian and children's meal options for breakfast. I also strongly recommend the window seat in the executive lounge. Drink Japanese tea or Japanese whiskey in the afternoon and look at the quaint buildings outside. It is worth the effort!

Amazing
GGuest UserThe Kamo Delta is a hidden gem in Kyoto and this place is right on the correct spot. The room is fabulous with great bedding and quality furniture. It’s more like a large studio apartment than a hotel room. There’s even a stove top, laundry machine, and microwave/toaster oven. The large window facing the river actually slides open so you can let the fresh air from the riverside into the room. My favorite was just watching people enjoying the rock crossing at the delta at sunset. Such a lovely spot and that I hope to spend more time at soon.
Location is super convenient to buses, a subway station, and Shimogamo Shrine - a UNESCO world heritage site that is just spectacular and very much undiscovered by the hordes or tourists that visit Kyoto (and I hope it stays that way!)
JJackTAXThe service was great and the location was just perfect. I love everything about this hotel. Especially the thermal pool right outside the door.
HHappyChoiThe hotel is very pretty, Andre Fu never fails to impress! Breakfast was nice with good variety to choose from, would be great if we can have a drink menu as well.
The room was a bit small for 3 ladies and the bathroom is quite transparent. Would be great if switchable smart glass is used instead for the bathroom window for privacy. Despite the minor inconvenience, the bathtub is amazing and spacious. It’s perfect for couple.
The thermal spring is clean and is usually not busy. The hotel provides swim suit for guests as it is a mixed pool. The service was smooth and the environment is very relaxing. The only thing we didn’t like about the spring was that there is no natural lights as it is located in the basement. Don’t miss out on the morning breathing session!
Special shoutout to the concierge team as they very efficiently helped us with restaurant and workshops recommendation and bookings prior to our arrival. Taxis were arranged promptly every time. We had a really good time in Kyoto and we can’t wait to come back again!
