"We tried to check in a little early, no problem being told, ”rooms not ready yet.” Told to come back in one hour. We did and was told rooms still not ready, come back in another hour. We did and was told only ONE of our TWO rooms were ready, the other wasn't clean yet. We were given the key to the one room and decided to stay there until the other was finished and ready for us. It was a very wet and cold day outside. We needed the heater turned on to make the room comfortable. Smoke immediately started coming from the unit. I went to front desk to advise them of the issue hoping we could get better accommodations. The front desk attendant, Mark, was extremely helpful. He came up to inspect the unit and immediately unplugged it.
Then he decided to check the other room were to be staying in and IT WAS CLEAN. He was just not told it was cleaned. The staff cleaning the rooms were at the end of the hall standing around barely making an effort.
Long story short, the facility was in a great location, Mark, the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful, but the cleanliness and maintenance of the Comfort Inn was lacking."
